Scrapbooking & What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 444

Blessed be the Lord,
who daily loadeth us with benefits,
even the God of our salvation. Selah  Psalm 68:19

Whahoo!  I am here before 8:00 pm!  Good afternoon, crafter friends.  I had my last cataract surgery this past Friday!  I can see!  Maybe I will only need readers after 32 years of wearing glasses; the last ten they were trifocals!.  Anyway just four more weeks of eye drops every few hours, and then I am done with it! We have just completed our Christmas shopping this morning!  So, now I am scrap-booking as you can see by my desk. Again, I am scrapping old photos that really needed to finally be scrapped from 1987.  I have included a shot of my laptop  that I move over to my craft room when needed.  You can get a peek at some calendars I will me stamping to give as gifts, and my Dollar Tree readers, that I need when doing close up crafting.

Here is my desk and then I will head over to see your desks. I love seeing what is on crafter's desks from all over the world. They enable me, and encourage me in my craft! This is such a fun thing we do made possible by our hostess Julia on her Blog, Stamping Ground.

Here is a close up view of completed Scraplift layout for my Scraplift Challenge on SplitcoastStampers.
I used papers from a 12x12 Craft Smith pad titled Mermaid Coast.  Even the title and journaling box is rom the pad.  I used SU! Whale thinlit for the whales, fish, stars and hearts.  I used black rhinstones in the whales' eyers.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! Have a wonderful week!

New stuff & What's On Your Workdesk ? Wednesday 443

Blessed be the Lord,
who daily loadeth us with benefits,
even the God of our salvation. Selah  Psalm 68:19

Surprise at supper tonight, when the doorbell rang.  A package!  With all the Christmas online shopping we have been doing I forgot I was expecting something from Stamp N Storage.  They had a special last week, plus free shipping plus I had a rewards coupon so I ordered another 24 stamp/refill/marker storage unit and added it to my other one.  I filled it up already!  So I am posting my Blog after all, to show what is on my desk this Wednesday! Also, someone mentioned buying gold poster board at Hobby Lobby for our gold cards stock and it would be cheaper.  So I bought one piece with coupon for 76 cents!  This is how much I got out of one piece!
Also, new little  white spinner organizer for $9.99 at Tuesday Mornings last week.  There is also a card I made with a new technique for me with TH Oxide Inks and water spritzing on water color paper over a stencil.  And  I broke down and got the SU! Dragonfly thinlits last week.  Well, as you see by the clock on top of the storage it is 8:00pm Wednesday night.  Again, just barely making it to the party!

Happy Thanksgiving! & What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 442

Blessed be the Lord,
who daily loadeth us with benefits,
even the God of our salvation. Selah  Psalm 68:19

Happy Thanksgiving to those of you in the U.S.  I have my turkey thawing in the refrigerator, small as it is, as there are only two of us.  Feeling thankful for all my many blessings, that I don't deserve, but because of the grace of Jesus I have many!

We are gathered together today to show our desks so here is mine.  And if you want to see everyone else's, here is a link to Julia's where we all hang out!

You can see how late I have come to the party!  Four here, so across the pond it is probably Thursday by now!

So, again, have a wonderful Thanksgiving!  "Count your blessings, name them one by one!"
Thanks for stopping by!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 438 & Falliday Fest

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage:  be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

Oh, my goodness!  I haven't posted since September 6!  I have an excuse for last Wednesday, but don't remember why the rest of the times.  Last Wednesday I had eye surgery for cataracts. Today is the first time I drove, and now I can lift and stoop again,  but still have to use three different eye drops three times a day for the next three weeks!  The good news is I see better out of the one eye!  Now for the other eye!  Despite eye surgery, I have been busy this week and last making cards for our Falliday Fest Challenges and Tutorials over at SplitcoastStampers.  So far I have made 31 cards and 8 tutorial projects.  Some of the cards will go to 4 different card drives.  But, also some will go out to my friends and family as birthday cards, etc.  I have included a photo of 30 of the cards as well as photos of my craft room as it looks this morning.  I am still participating in the challenges through the end of the wee, so won't clean up till all done!  Check out the challenges; lots of inspiration!  And with the tutorials I have learned some new  interesting techniques!  One technique was Iced Leather.
Lots more like that.  Check them out.

I used a few neglected tools like the texture block for one of my projects and the color spritzer tool from SU!

The one with a teabag on it was a Trash to Treasure
Stop over to see Julia at Stamping Ground to see some more desks!  That is what we do on Wednesdays, look at one another's desks for enabling, inspiration and fun!

Have a great week!
Thanks or stopping by!

Drowning in Photos & WOYWW #431

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage:  be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

Good Morning!  It is Wednesday again!  How does that happen so quickly?  I decided to post my blog before I walk today!  It is so cool out, so don't have to get out there so early.  I enjoyed waking up to  the cool Autumn weather this morning, although it isn't here to stay yet.  I am joining Julia, over at Stamping Ground to show "What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday.  Below is what is on my workdesk today.  I am again trying to organize and scrap the hundreds, of family photos I have.  They have been organized by families into bins, but still so many to sort through.  As you can see, the ones I am working with came out of those old, old albums with the white photo corners, and very little journaling, mostly none!

I haven't decided yet if I will scrap these in a grid again or not.  I am cutting borders with my pinking sheers.

I already did these in a grid.  These photos had been stapled together in a little book with the date!  Yay!
Most of the photos, however came off of sheets  like this

And the albums or sheets or loose photos came out of bins like these.  At least there is a bin for each family, like my husbands, my Mom's or my grandparents, and great grandparents..  We even have another bin of slides from my husband's family.  Most of our family says just to toss them.  I seem to be the only one interested in going through them.

You can see that I am drowning in photos!  But, I will come up for air and visit your desk this week.
Thanks for stopping by, and I appreciate it when you comment and let me know you were here.  Or, even if you tell me how you are dealing with all your photos.  Have a great week.

Morning Walk & WOYWW #430

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage:  be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

Good afternoon!  I decided to go walking this morning instead of blogging or crafting, so now it is late! A friend and took a nice walk on the river to our Veteran's Memorial Walk. I took a few photos, but really forgot till we were almost back to the car.  Then,  I had to come home and start on a card for our Alphabet Challenge on SplitcoastStampers, so now my desk really is a mess!  And since that is what What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday is all about, without further ado, here is my desk!  And if you want to see more desks from all over the world, check out Julia's Stamping Ground.

Ok, that wasn't very exciting.  I do get messy when making a card!  Even my tea is sitting there getting cold!  That is normal!

Here is a tag I made earlier, after watching a Julie Nutting video.  It was fun to stamp this Julie Nutting  girl on script paper, fussy cut her, and then paper pieced her dress.  Since she is so tall I put her on a  tall tag, and added buttons and butterflies!  I will eventually put her on a scrap page.

And here are photos from our walk!

Thanks for stopping by!  I will come by your space shortly!  Have a wonderful week!

Christmas & WOYWW #429

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage:  be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

Good Morning "What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday" Deskers!  Yes, I made it and it is still morning! Since we are here to show our spaces, here is what mine looks like.  I have dumped all my stash of Christmas die cuts, and Christmas stamped images on my desk, and I have been making Christmas cards out of them.  Where do all these come from?  For one, all the stamped ornaments were from a session with a friend who had that stamp.  Well, now I have that stamp set.  The stamped Bethlehem images are from a session in her craft room, also.  I still don't have that set.  Anyway, I guess I should use them!  Other items are just leftovers from cards I made, or started to make.  Who, knows?  But, I will try to use some of this stash.  Also, I am showing you three Christmas cards I made this week, using stash!

Made with Delicate Ornaments Thinlits Dies by Su! on A snowflake embossed panel.  Inside the Merry Christmas is from SU! Contempo Christmas set Christmas Joy is Stampendous. The ornament on my envelope is also from Contenpo Christmas. I used Real Red and Whisper White cardstock.
This card is made with leftovers from a SU! workshop I attended several years ago!  I had the ornaments already punched with the Modern Mosaic punch by SU! and the panel inked up and ran through the cuttlebug with the Modern Mosaic EF by SU! I found a dark green base that would work with the colors already on here.  Sorry, since the panel and ornaments were from so long ago, I am not sure of the colors.   I added the sequins and sentiment that was already stamped.  I stamped the envelope with the Contempo Christmas ornament.
This card and envelope were made with Wondrous Wreath Stamp set and the Joy and the bows and wreath (which I cut in half to make the garland) were cut with the  Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies by SU!  The embossed panel is unknown as it is a panel I had that I had done with a friend's EF.  I have a whole container of panels that I did with her EFs. The inside sentiment is Christmas Joy by Stampendous. I used Bermuda Bay and Baja Breeze ink and cardstock.   I saw this idea of cutting the wreath into a garland on Pinterest.

Three quick Christmas cards made with stash, with sentiments already stamped on inside and matching envelopes!  Now, to use some more of the pre-stamped, pre-diecut or punched stash!

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure and look at all the other deskers on Julia's Stamping Ground.
Happy Wednesday!

DTGD Cards for 2017 & WOYWW 427

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage:  be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

I am home again for a short time! Just spent a couple of weeks of staying with my teenage grandchildren while our daughter and husband were on a missions trip to Germany.    I thought I would show you the 35 cards that I with  help from my Granddaughter did last week for the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges on SplitcoastStampers.

Some of the challenges were technique challenges, some sketch, some color, just a variety of challenges.  Now I have my stash built up again for birthdays, praying for you, and even anniversary cards. All these cards were made with items I took to my daughter's with me in a suitcase on a plane.  I took no tools, stamps, or inkpads.  I just took, pre folded bases, pre embossed panels, pre made technique panels, precut die cuts, and some embellishments. I just hoped I would have what I needed to meet the challenge.  Again, I didn't know what the challenge would be!  For a couple of the challenges, we used granddaughter's school paints. It really felt good to be using stash!  I should try this more often!

Our granddaughter, when she had time would take a break from all her activities and we would work together to do a challenge.  Then during the day I would show her my idea and ask advice between her music lessons, practice and home school work.  She really had a lot of good  input,  on five of these cards in particular and I left those with her to use. Particularly the drippy paint one!  She named it Icing on the Cake!

Thanks for stopping by!  So glad I could share with you!  Now to get ready to go to a 4 day Scrap Retreat tomorrow!
Be sure and check out Stamping Ground to see more deskers!   Happy WOYWW!

Temporary Desk WOYWW # 426

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage:  be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

As you can see, I am still not in my craft room.  Today's photo is what my daughter's formal dining room table looks like.  I am taking part in the Fan Club's Dare To Get Dirty Challenges this week on SplitcoastStampers

I have taken over my daughter's dining room, and getting dirty!  Granddaughter is even involved!  We will have to clean it up before Mom and Dad come home!

So, what a mess!  So what does your workdesk look like on this Wednesday?  Check out or even join up at Stamping Ground.  Julia is our hostess and would love you to join up.  As soon as I feed the grandkids, I will check out your desks.  Have a great week, and thanks for stopping by!

WOYWW #424 & Enamel Dots Again!

Good Morning Fellow Deskers! I can just never seem to get to the Blog Party in a timely fashion! LOL  I have been busy making more enamel dots again.  I had never written down the instructions, but had only linked to the instructions on another blog from my blog.  That blog is no longer available, so will write down what I did today to make my homemade enamel dots:

1. Heat over to 325 degrees.
2 Line cookie sheet with Parchment paper.
3 Put Perler Beads up on their ends with good space between.
4 Bake 35 minutes. (I found black ones take longer to melt)
5 Remove from oven and let cool.

That is what I have been doing this morning, that and scrapping.  So here is a photo of what my desk looks like; because that is what we do on  What's On My Workdesk? Wednesday. :)  You can see that this time I sorted colors of dots,  so it would be easier to find the colors I want.
Also, Just a touch of glue or mini glue dot works.  I have even wondered of putting them on sheets of adhesive until I would use them.

Thanks for stopping by this morning.  Have a wonderful week!  Don't forget to stop by Julia's Stamping Ground to see the rest of today's desks.  http://stamping-ground.blogspot.com/
Things aren't working too well on this post, and I don't know why.  I couldn't link you to Julia's the correct way. Have a wonderful week!

WOYWW #423 & Splitcoast Challenges

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage:  be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

Good morning! I am posting!  Although, not a photo of my desk as my camera is already packed for our Ladies Encouragement Ministry card making day, today!  So, this will be short and sweet.  I will show you a card that I made as a sample for the ladies today.  Two of us did get together beforehand and make up about 40 kits, that include die cut verses and panels, and die cut sentiments and panels.  We put card bases and printed paper in with it and they can put it together and add embellishments.  We yak and craft, and hopefully the receivers of the cards will be blessed and encouraged.

Sample:

And below is a card I made for our Alphabet Challenge, the Stamp2Spend Challenge and the Tuesday Teapot Challenge  on Splitcoast Stampers.  It is D for dies, D for Dimentionals, and D for Dani, the wonderful lady it will be sent.  And D for different fold.  The fold is  Fanfare Fold, and I followed the tutorial, on Song of My Heart.

Check out WOYWW at Julia's Stamping Ground.  We have a lot of fun every week with What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!  I appreciate you letting me know you were here!

With a Little Help from My Friends & WOYWW #422

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage:  be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

Good Morning Fellow Deskers!  I am borrowing from a song by the Beatles, With a Little Help From My Friends, I may get this huge un-mounting of stamps project done!  LOL  I had given up on putting the labels on my stamps after taking them off the wood, because it just took too long, and then I wasn't quite happy with them.
But good friend and fellow crafter LeAnn came to the rescue!  She was formerly my SU! demo, but now my Fun Stamper Journey demo.  She came over yesterday and showed me how to do this process in easier way, and also be happy with how they stick to my acrylic blocks, or Misti!

She even had me write the steps down!  LOL

Three things needed: Clear plastic table cloth material from JoAnns
Sizzix permanent Adhesive Sheets from SU!
Tweezers! ( That was another reason I quit the original process, ruining my nails taking those labels off the wood)  She showed me how to take it off with tweezers!

1.  Cut table cloth material
2.  Stick to sizzix adhesive sheet.  I used a whole sheet at a time.
3.  Cut the size you need for your label
4.  Pull tablecloth away from sticky.
5.  Now the  adhesive is on the  back of tablecloth
6.  Lay label flat so you can see/read it on craft sheet.
7.  Lay sticky side of table cloth over top of sentiment.
8.  Lay on stamp  (when I take the label off the wood, there is enough sticky on it to stick to the           stamp.  But if you don't feel it is sticky enough you can add  adhesive.)
9.  Trim

I didn't need to look at these steps after doing it once, but in case a month from now, I forget! LOL

So here what my desk looks like:

And look what I got in the mail a week or so ago!  Thank you Shaz!
Thanks for stopping by!  Please let me know if you can that you were here.  Check out the other deskers at Julia's Stamping Ground.  Have a great week!

WOYWW 419 & a Visitor!

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage:  be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

Good Afternoon, Bloggers!  You might ask who is this?  And that is a good question, as I haven't posted to my Blog since the first part of May!  I am still here and still crafting!  I have been taking apart my wooden stamp sets and converting them to clear mount stamps. So, that has kept me pretty busy.  I have so far,  un-mounted well over 100 sets!

I have been envious of other deskers who have met each other in the past.  Guess what!  I got to meet one of our fellow deskers!  Kelly of KellysCreativeDreams Blog.  So, instead of a photo of my desk this week here is a photo of us! :)  It was really enjoyable to get to know each other.  We didn't do any crafting, just visited.

Kelly on Left, and me on right.

Stop by Julia's Stamping Ground and find out all about our Blog hop!  Visit the other deskers and find out what they are doing.  We have so much fun every Wednesday!

Thank you for stopping by!  I will try to come by and see you, so be sure and comment with your number.

WOYWW & Kelly's April Color Challenge

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage:  be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

Good morning!  And it is actually still morning!  I was making some Christmas cards when I remembered it is time to do my What's On Your Workdesk?  Wednesday post!  So took a quick photo of what I am doing.  Love my Misti! Because now I can re-ink and re-stamp until I get a good image!  That big Christmas tree stamp was on wood and I could never get a good stamped image with it, so quit using it.  Now I can use it.  What I am doing here is stamping with VersaMark and then putting gold glitter embossing powder on it.  Really happy with the results.  Don't know how I will design the card yet, but am excited that I can use it!

Also under my workdesk photo is a photo of another Die Cut Half Swing technique card.  This time it is in the colors for Kelly's color challenge #4.  We were to use 3 of 5 colors she listed on KellySCreativeDreams.  I used Chocolate Chip, Blushing Bride, and Flirty Flamingo for my card.

I used Glitter, MS Heart border punch, and  SU! Layering Ovals Framelits dies. The little hearts I used are the punched out part on the heart border.  Besides Kelly's color challenge, this was also for Jan's Stamp2Spend Challenge to use glitter and Sabrina's  Tea for Two Ways to use it Challenge.  Both these challenges are on SplitcoastStampers.
If you want to see more desks,  visit Julia's Stamping Ground.  Thank you for stamping by!  Thank you for your comments, too! So fun to see what you say and to know you stopped by!   I am going to see what you are doing now!

Remembering Mom & WOYWW # 412

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage:  be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

Good morning, fellow deskers!  Just got home from the gym and am actually getting started a little earlier today!  It is 43 degrees out and very windy!  I think it is Winter again! BRR!  Last night before I went to bed I was playing with a bunch of die cuts that I had in a clam box and backgrounds I had made with the Cling Wrap Technique with spray starch and Color Bursts.  So, now trying to figure out a card.  So that is what is on my desk! And below that is a special card I made this week.  Also, I am remembering and honoring my Mom today as tomorrow would have been  her 92nd birthday.

Also, on my desk is my owl punch.  I am trying to think up my Owl card for our Alpha Challenge for O on Splitcoast Stampers.  You can also see my scrap sheet that I had under my backgrounds when I made them.  I might do something with that, too.

This is a Die Cut Swing Card.  It was so fun making it!

Credits for above card: Directions and measurements to make this card are on     The Crafty Thinker
Paper: SU! Bermuda Bay cardstock , SU! Whisper White, SU! Glitter paper lighter color blue was scraps
Dies: SU! Stitched Shapes framelits dies, Spellbinders Fancy Frame Tags #1, MS Butterfly punch
Stamps: SU! Secret Garden, Avant Garden
Ink:  Island Indigo
Embellishments: Pearls

A mixed media  LO I did of my Mother to honor her. Di She is gone now, but she would have been 92 tomorrow.

I started with a base of paper by Bo Bunny then, I used texture paste and stencils for the LO.  I also stamped  and die cut some flowers and added them along with some prima flowers.  These   memorabilia  items were in her things.

Thank you for stopping by and for commenting!  To see more desks from all over the world go to Julia's Stamping Ground.  I am off to see what is on your desk.  Have a great week!

WOYWW 411 & Scrapping!

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage:  be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

I forgot it was Wednesday and was scrapping this morning after our trip to the gym.  I was feeling pretty good about getting things done today.  I had gotten the sweeper all clean, the filters all clean and put back together.  I did dishes, put together my supplements for the next week.  I mean I was feeling organized!  Then, I remembered it was Wednesday, and time to do a blog post!  Yikes, I am not as organized as I thought I was.  I will show you my two work areas today and the page I scrapped!

My other desk/work area.  I am spread all over the place!

Scrapping mess, and you can see I am still un-mounting my wood mounted stamps.

Add This LO was for a photo inspiration challenge for VSBN April "Count on it" on SplitcoastStamers.
Thank you for stopping by. Don't forget to stop by Julia's Stamping Ground and feel free to join the world wide blog hop to look at What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday!
I am sorry that I didn't get by to your place last week, but plan to do better this week!  Have a wonderful week!

Easter Blessings! & WOYWW 410

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage:  be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

Good afternoon Bloggers!  I just don't get up early enough to post this before I get busy on Wednesdays!  So, it is an afternoon Blog! I have been busy making a couple of cards and scrapping this week.  And, I got a wonderful Random Act of Kindness package last week!  I will share what my desk looks like as I am crafting and unmounting stamps.  On recent  cards, I made, I used wood mounted stamps.  I took them off the wood to use in my Misti.  I liked both stamps so well, I went ahead an unmounted them permanently, and put them in smaller cases.  If I just do this as I go, it won't be so overwhelming.
Easter Blessings!

As you can see, I am playing with the colors, edits in my photo program.  Just having fun.  '

Below is the RAK gift I received in the mail.
It was like Christmas!  I have used some already,
and plan on using some more.  Hopefully, I will pay this kindness forward and send some neglected sets to someone.  What fun! :)

I made this by sponging ink over a daisy stencil.  Loved the look of this. This was a color challenge to use Pistachio Pudding, Island Indigo, and Lost Lagoon.
My wish for you, is to have a Blessed Easter, as you remember what our Lord and Savior did for us.
Don't forget to stop over at Julia's Stamping Ground and visit our hostess and the other Bloggers desks.

4th Anniversary of my Blog & WOYWW #409

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage:  be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

Good afternoon!  On this exact date four years ago, I did my first Blog post!  So, I am celebrating 4 years of blogging today!  Also, I am joining in the fun over at Julias Stamping Ground for What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday.  So fun to meet bloggers from all over the world as we show our workspace and projects.  Check it out, even join us!

So, last week-end I was busy with  April Fools Virtual Stamp Night (VSN) on SplitcoastStampers.  It was a whirlwind week-end of  15 challenges, and several new techniques, like Fool Proof Water coloring with baby wipes! LOL  I thought I would show a photo of all my cards I made over the week-end.

The card in front of the House Mouse card was a fun card to make; it is called a Gate Fold Latch card.  The far left front card was another fun technique: Magic Card.  You stamp your image on vellum and stamp and color on white cs, lining it up perfectly.  Then when you put it together you put a piece of cs with a pull on it, between the two stamped images.  So when you look at it you see only  a B&W image before pulling the tab to reveal the colored image.  It is magic! :)
The top middle card was the watercolor with the baby wipes!  You apply your ink with baby wipes, and it makes a great color for your background.  When I  stamped my  image, I used the baby wipe on it after stamping.  It gives a water color look.  So, I got quite a few birthday cards done this week-end along with one Christmas card, and a get well card, and a To Do List project! :)

Thanks for stopping by and for your encouraging comments.  Hope to stop by and see those of you who have blogs.

WOYWW 404 And Alice in Wonderland

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage:  be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

Happy WOYWW!  I guess I am on an every other Wednesday schedule!  I am having all kinds of  laptop problems , and one of them is getting photos to upload to my computer from my memory card.  Last Wednesday, I had my laptop to the computer Dr. LOL  It got a clean bill of health, but I am still having problems.  Funny thing is if I restart my laptop, then it works.  I like my iPad mini better. So today, I will just show you a card I made for the Tea Potter Challenge on Splitcoast Stamper.  Our theme for this month's tickle is Alice in Wonderland.  I have one stamp, the first stamp I ever bought 20 years or more ago.  It is the rabbit.  But someone else already used that stamp, and I wanted to be different.  It seemed like I remembered some Graphic 45 paper for the theme.  So, went through drawers of 12x12 paper and was rewarded in finding it.  So I just fussy cut things from the paper and put it on a green base, popping up some of the items on dimentinals  and added some lacy paper and a teabag charm.  I also copied and shrank a Queen of Hearts for the Mad Hatters hat. I also added some gold WOS in some places.

Here it is:

WOYWW # 402 & Un-mounting stamps

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage:  be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

Good Morning Deskers!  I just skipped over # 401!  How does that happen?  I know I have asked that question, before. I am wondering, why do I have a Blog?  I don't remember, but I think I began one so that I could take part in challenges that required a Blog.  So much for that! LOL  I am not too committed to it.  But, I have met a lot of nice people all over the world taking part in Julia's What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday Blog Hop!  I guess that is what you call it.  Check in over at Julias Stamping Ground and check out all the other deskers if you never have.

Here is what is going on in my space today!  I am little by little un-mounting my wood mounted stamps and putting them in smaller cases.  I put the wood stamp in the micro-wave about 9 seconds and then the whole stamp peels off.  I then take off the label and put it on the stamp.  You don't have to do that step, but I like the picture on there of what the stamp is.  Or, I have taken a photo of the stamps while still on the wood, and printed off on paper and put it as a cover on the case.  These cases were purchased from SU!, and they have a sleeve for the paper with the photo.  Most of these stamps are SU! anyway. The thing is  I was supposed to be freeing up space by doing this.  But what am I doing?  I am still using those clam boxes to store things in, like die cuts or pre embossed panels, or even pre cut and folded card bases.   I keep thinking of more ways to use them, so I still have them!  LOL  And  those of you who are un-mounting  your wood mounted stamps, what are you doing with the wood blocks?   I have decided to just toss them.  I am hoarding way too much anyway!
                                                     So, here is my desk.

Hope you had a great Valentine's Day yesterday!  Thanks for stopping by!

What's On Your Desk? Wednesday # 400 Scrapping and Playing

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage:  be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

Happy February!  I have been MIA since for a while!  I will sneak back in today.  Sorry, there is no photo of my desk, but here are a couple of projects I have worked on this month.  I took part in the Facebook online Creative Memories Virtual Crop a week ago and this is one of the LOs I did.  I am trying to do our photos from the 80s!  It is fun to remember those times as I scrap. Below that are some cards I made using stamps that had never been inked up.  The Hey Chick! one was a set I got for free , a Sale-A-Bration set from SU!  The Art Impressions ladies set is one I have had for a while and never inked up.  So scrapping and playing here, what are you doing.  I will be by later to see you! Thanks for stopping by.  Don't forget to stop over at Julia's Stamping Ground to check out all the other deskers!

Have a wonderful week!

New Beginnings & WOYWW #396

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage:  be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

I hope you all had nice holidays and are having a nice beginning to 2017!  Like with all new beginnings, it takes a little work. My photo of my desk for What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday is staged, I confess.  I just wanted to show you what I am doing.  I am trying to get organized for the new year, make a new beginning.   I have been making a notebook with tabs for all the challenges on SplitcoastStamper.   I have included my birthday lists of all groups I am member of in the back.  Hopefully, I will not miss making a card for an upcoming birthday! :)  Do you see those cute little jars with bakers twine in them.  Is that cool or what?  I scored them on clearance at a local stamp store last Friday.

I did reach my goal of 100 pages scrapped in 2016!  Now, I have set my 2017 goal as 100, also, since I know I can do it!  It isn't like I even need to print photos!  I have hundreds.  I am trying to scrap the 80s right now!  And when I get all caught up with that, I can begin my heritage albums, because I have all my Mom's photos, and her Dad's photos!  And that is just one part of the family's.  I have all branches of the family's photos from husband's and mine!  Everyone gives me their photos, because if they didn't give them to me, they would trash them!

Don't forget to check out Julia's Stamping Ground to find out all about WOYWW and to visit all the other deskers!  Maybe, you want to join us and show us your desk! :)

Happy New Year and WOYWW!  I hope you are having a nice new beginning!  Thank you for stopping by!
