T Stands for Tea at Panera

"And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. Matthew 28:5-7"

Today has been a wonderful day so far!  I met friends Panera for tea first thing this morning. We had several hours of great fellowship!  Then, when I arrived home I decided to take a walk.  I wore a coat, muffler, earmuffs and gloves and was very comfortable.  But about halfway I saw this and it shows 60 something out!

So, as I warmed up, I removed my muffler, gloves & earmuffs, but kept my coat on but open.  After 4 miles, I had warmed up!  I tell you this to tell you that when I got home and looked at the temperature, I was surprised it was only 49!  I guess the thermometer I looked at must have been in the sun! LOL Oh, well!  I have photos for you of some decorations that were on the trail, today.  Someone sure keeps busy decorating our trail for each season!

I quit taking photos after a while as I wasn't getting any walking done stopping to take all the photos!  Now if I was Elizabeth, I wouldn't have quit; she says her camera is her right hand. :)

You all know that I love meeting dogs on the trail and today I met a dog named Dash.  He is a Shih-poo.  Isn't he adorable? He loved being petted.  I also made a new friend, his owner who might visit my blog.

I have been doing a lot of crafting, but unfortunately can't show any of my card projects because they are samples for our upcoming VSN (Virtual Stamp Night)  event at SplitcoastStampers this weekend.  I am one of the hostesses for the challenges.

Here is a photo of today's tea for TSFT over at Altered Book Lover where Bleubeard & Elizabeth host this blog hop party for us every Tuesday.  To join, we just have to have a beverage reference in our blog post.

By the way I got to go over to Elizabeth's last week, and she taught me a new technique.  She prepares her cardstock for her journals by using Stazon re-inkers & alcohol.  She has tried to explain this process to me over the phone several times, but I guess I am pretty dense! LOL So we had a fun session making these pages.  We mixed re-inkers and alcohol and then pounced with little sponges on the paper.  Something I noticed is how soft the paper feels after this process.  I love them, as they turned out I think very lovely!  These are 12x12 papers.  My color is not showing very well.  They were mostly teals and this look too blue.  Anyway, they are pretty, and I can't wait to use them either to scrap on or for card backgrounds.  Or maybe they will end up in a journal! I showed her how I use oxide inks to make a background. We did a lot of die cutting and embossing, in fact we had quite the "play date."

Thank you, Elizabeth, for the tea, cookies, hat and birthday gift!  Loved the lesson on this new technique, and just the fun time in general.

That is about it for this week.  Thank you for stopping by!  Happy T Day to the T gang!  See you next time.

T Stands for Time for Spring!

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart:

try me, and know my thoughts:
24 And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalms 139:23-24

Yes, it is time for Spring!  Tomorrow, we begin our new Spring Bible Study and I have made some bookmarks for it.  Almost!  I still have most of the ribbons to attach, yet.  This is also for our SplitcoastStampers Divine Bible Challenge and for Calvinball at Scrap Happy.

I used a SU! punch to punch 24 white 2"x5 1/2"strips, then 8 each of Celery Green, Almost Amethyst and Pink Passion.  I put the Bible verse stamp in the MISTI stamping platform and stamped all the white ones.  Next, I put the prayer quote stamp in the MISTI and stamped all the colored ones.  The MISTI makes it easy to do assembly line projects.  I stamped leaves on all the white, & the butterflies, and inked the edges of the white.

Next is attaching the ribbon with a staple, and then tying the bakers twine around the ribbon.  I also handwrote the date & event information. Some of them are done as shown below.  I think I will be doing ribbon for a while longer tonight!  Below showing both sides of the bookmarks. I tied the white to the colored cardstock with the ribbon.

For Calvinball I racked up 21 points for the project.  I can't multiply x 24 however.  But each one has a stamped image, the date, handwriting, butterfly, green, punch, metal (the staple), ribbon, inked edges, scalloped, twine, tag (tag punch), quote, purple. I got a point for cleaning my desk before I started, and for it being for multiple challenges, and for the faith theme.  Also I get points for sharing on Splitcoast with the hash tags and for writing up a post on my blog.  Again, the points are just for fun! You can check out all the fun at:  http://scraphappy.org/calvinball.

Here is my ticket to the TSFT over at Altered Book Lover hosted by Elizabeth & Bleubeard.  It is a card I made in 2014.  It is long gone, but I still have the photo.  I still like that image, SU!, I think.

Thank you for stopping by.  Happy Spring!  See you next time.

T Stands for Time Change

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart:

try me, and know my thoughts:
24 And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalms 139:23-24

I still have not changed the clock in my craft room, and I never think to look at the time on my laptop or iPad!  I am old school.  You look at the clock or watch for the time and you take photos with cameras, real ones. LOL

I have worked several hours hunting photos and scrapping.  Now my room is a complete shamble!  And other rooms as well, because I went through boxes and loaded down beds in two different rooms!  I did not find the third photo and am thinking I either imagined such a photo or have seen it in a video.  Now I am wondering if there is some way, I could get a still photo off a very old video?  At least I did have the video put on a CD.

I will share the page I scrapped with you today.  It is for the Scrapbook Goals Challenge on SplitcoastStampers as well as for the Calvinball challenge, again.  I am still having fun, but the big thing is getting motivated to get a scrap album project done!  Adding all the different elements got me 36 points on this layout.  They add "rules" every day.  Today the added quote, chipboard, button among other things.  I added all of them.

It is time for my ticket to the TSFT party over at Altered Book Lover with Bleubeard & Elizabeth as our hosts.  I will have to add something from my archives. :)

This card was made in 2012 for the teapot challenge on SplitcoastStampers.

Happy T Day to the T gang.  I am keeping this short as my laptop already has locked up once already, and I don't want to chance it again.  I had to turn off and restart! LOL
Thank you everyone for stopping by and for your comments to let me know you stopped by.
Have a great week.  See you next time.

T Stands for Trail Time

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart:

try me, and know my thoughts:
24 And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalms 139:23-24

I have been getting time out on the trail as well as crafting time in my craft room.  All of March I am participating in Calvinball with Alice Boll.

Here is the last project I uploaded to her challenge:

I followed a tutorial by Dina Cowal on SplitcoastStampers to make this piano easel card.  It is a card for a pianist at our church.

Here are my most recent photos from the trail:

Adorable doggie I met on the trail today.  Her name is Roxy and she is a Bavarian Yorkie.

Someone built a path & bridge from the trail to their backyard gate, just for them!

Above is a photo of the trail and a decoration for St. Patrick's Day.  A lonely trail some days.  Other days, very busy with dog walkers, strollers, bikers, and joggers.

Now, for my ticket to the tea party today.  We went out to eat, but of course I forgeot to take photos of our food or drinks.  I hope that you will find the beverage reference in the photos I did take and maybe guess where we were.

Happy T Day to the T Gang.  Everyone is gathering over at Bleubeard & Elizabeth's on Altered Book Lover for our TSFT!  Thanks everyone for stopping by.  Have a wonderful week.  See you next time.
