T Stands for Technique

Phi 4:4  Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

Welcome to my Blog. Today I am joining the Tea Gang over at Altered Book Lover, where we all celebrate T Stands For Tuesday with a drink related post.  But first, I wanted to show you a twist on an old technique that Lydia over at  SplitcoastStampers showed us.   And then we were challenged on the Mix-ability Challenge to let our shaving cream oxidize before making our prints.

Step one:  put shaving cream on plate.  Step two:  drop some re-inker ink into the mix and swirl around.

I used SU! Bermuda Bay, Emerald Envy and Dapper Denim re-inkers.

Step Three:  Have patience.  Leave for several hours.  So I did the first two steps and then left home all day.

Here is the plate of shaving cream with ink on it, and how it looked when I got home.  I wish I had thought to take a photo before to show you the difference.

By the time I came back I had forgotten about the process.  I just happen to go into my craft room and saw the plate.  Wow, it had little bubbles all over it.  I just started making prints and couldn't quit!

I got a couple of dozen prints!  I made one card so far.  This was the darkest and the first print off the plate.  Notice all the bubbles?

Now for the drink related part of the post:

I thought this was prefect for the Tea Gang!

Took a photo at the end, when I remembered!  We only sit there about 2 1/2 hours and visit! :)  My purse even made it in the photo.

Just in case you want to know my favorite color!
Thank you for stopping by!  I enjoy doing these posts for the tea party every Tuesday!
Oh, Elizabeth so glad you got your ATCs and liked them.

WOYWW 332 & Shaving Cream Technique

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,  To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.  Titus 2:3-5

Happy WOYWW!  Am late again! We are all showing our desks as we do every Wednesday as part of What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday.   If you check out Julia's Stamping Ground, you will find some more deskers from all over the world!  So here is what I my desk looked like this  week!  I experimented using the Shaving Cream Technique as shown on a tutorial on Splitcoast Stamper.  Surprisingly, after you scrape your shaving cream off your card, it is real smooth.  :)

Dropped re-inkers into Shaving cream and swirled around the colors.
I  put papers on  and pressed into the cream, then  I  scraped off with a craft stick for various backgrounds.

This is how I used one of the backgrounds.  I added die cuts from shimmer card stock and added rhinestones.

Thank you for stopping by!
