T Stands for Time to Organize Craft Room

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

I watched videos this week-end put on by the Papercrafters Get Organized Summit.  It inspired me to re-organize my craft room and purge a little.  There were lots of ideas on how to organize, but mostly it just inspired me to do it! I did that instead of crafting or doing a blog post.  I even did a little house cleaning!  It will take a while to really get it completely re-organized.   So, no photos until I get it done.

Even though I do not have photos of my craft room, but I do have photos of my walk on Friday, the 21st.  I didn't go on Trail Day, as I was concerned that the trail would have too much traffic of walkers and bikers.   Friday I got off the trail and walked a little further to see come different scenery.

Wichita's most iconic symbol is The Keeper of the Plains.  There are many 10-foot replicas of it all over Wichita.  I found one on my walk!  I don't know if they are all like this one or not, but this one has artwork all over it.  I tried to get a few close ups of the artwork on the art. :)

Below the keeper has a keeper on it.

Below is a depiction to symbolize the aircraft industry in Wichita.

And we went out today for fast food, but so good!  We don't do this too often; in fact this was first time this year!  We had a coupon for 2 meals for $9.99.  Roast beef sandwiches, curly fries and root beer with refill to go. :)  We love all the sauces: Arby Sauce, Horsy Sauce, Pepper sauce & Honey Mustard sauce for our sandwiches and fries.  The curly fries are wonderful when they are hot.  And today, they did them fresh for us so they were hot!  We didn't need anything the rest of the day!  Very filling!

Here is a card using one of the Klompen Stampers fun folds that I learned. This fold works well for displaying the card.  I made this for a man at our church who has a birthday this week but also is very ill.  Also, I made it for our Alpha Challenge on SplitcoastsStamers for the Alpha Toy Round for T for Train.

Thank you for stopping by.  Nice to see and hear from the T Gang.  I am linking up with Bleubeard & Elizabeth over at Altered Book Lover for the TSFT.  We all post something drink related in our post and all get together once a week; Monday night/Tuesday.  Happy T Day to the T Gang.  Hello to all my readers and again thank you for visiting.

  See you next time.

T Stands for Turkey & Technique

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

I learned another new technique today for making a background for a card.  You cut shapes and put them inside each other.   I used Su! Stitched shapes dies to cut the circles.  But, I used two at the same time so I got the frame of a circle instead of the normal solid circle.

Here is the link to the Technique Challenge on SplitcoastStampers and video for the technique:  Try a New Technique

Here is my card:

I popped up the circles on dimensionals as well as the greeting.  I put all on a color bursts background that I had.  I only used a 1/4th of a sheet of the paper, so I have three more backgrounds like this to use yet.

This technique can be done with any shapes. I hope you try this new technique.

Here are some photos from the trail and off trail from today, in reverse order!  Blogger reverses the order!  This is when I cut across to get off the trail; wild turkey right up in our yards!

As you can see, I am infatuated with these Redbud trees. The pear trees are white and they came out first, now the Redbuds are blooming.  I guess this is where the Redbud Trail got its name. :)

It was beautiful today, but I got more than just exercise from walking. It was so windy; I spent a lot of time chasing my hat that Elizabeth gave me.  I love that hat and wear it every time I go walking, but no matter how far I have it jammed on my head, this Kansas wind blows it right off my head.  Mostly I hang on to it or keep my head kind of bowed, which is good so I will see anything I might trip on! LOL

I guess I need a ticket to the party over at TSFT on Altered Book Lover.

So here is a photo from my archives:  a card I made in 2010, and it is long gone.  I wonder who I sent it to? :)

Thank you for your comments and for stopping by.  I am honored that you stopped in for TSFT.

See you next time.

T Stands for Another New Technique

Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen,
and I will sing praises unto thy name. 2 Samuel 22:50

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter.  We had a wonderful day beginning with our Easter servies at church with specials even from our church children celebrating our Risen Saviour.  After that celebration, I walked because it was gorgeous outside.  Then we had our Easter dinner which included baked ham, almond green beans, sweet potato casserole and deviled eggs.  I didn't take any photos, but it was all delicious.  I did remember to take a photo of the deviled eggs when I prepared them on Saturday, and luckily, my cup is in the photo for TSFT.

Easter Eggs

What have I been doing today?  After a trip to Walmart early this morning, I walked and this time I walked the direction with the sidewalks on my trail and found these signs of upcoming events:

And I have also been crafting:

The card is made with the Embossed Ribbon Technique.  This is a great technique for using some of that stash of ribbon we all have.  I love this technique! If you are interested, here is the challenge on Splitcoaststampers with the video by Nastasia, and all the details.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great week.  See you next time.

T is for Trail change

"And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. Matthew 28:5-7"

I wish you all a wonderful Easter.

Good afternoon, peeps.  It is a beautiful Spring day here.  I walked this morning and enjoyed it so much!  Trees blooming, birds singing, and not too windy!  The lack of wind was the best!  I walked a different direction than I do usually.  One reason is there are more trees; another is less traveled.

Here are a couple of photos plus a selfie with me in the hat Elizabeth gave me.  I must say, though I had to hang on to it when a breeze would come up and also it got warm.  I am not used to wearing a hat but loved wearing it because of the big sun visor on it.  Then I didn't have to wear sunglasses.

I think Elizabeth would like this trail, because it isn't concrete going this direction.
I only passed a couple of people this morning.  I really enjoyed the cardinal but couldn't get a good photo of him.

I was busy all weekend with making cards and hostessing VSN on Splitcoast.
Here are a few of my cards I made:

This was to use leftovers.  I had this leftover background made by using this technique:  Easy Glue Printing Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers.

Do you recognize this, Elizabeth?  This card was made with the background I made with oxides at Elizabeth's  I used one of her stamps on it; such a cool postage collage.  I just stamped the sentiment.  I think this was for mostly blue challenge.  I thought I would use it for a birthday card and on the inside say something like "Look whose 60?"  or something like Oooh-la-la-Look whose birthday it is.

This was for two challenges, one for sweets and one to use patterned paper.

This was to use something cirtessy, and this is also for my ticket to TSFT!

That's it for another week!  Be sure and stop over at  Bleubeard & Elizabeth's at Altered Book Lover for our TSFT blog hop.
Thank you for stopping by.  See you next time.
