T Stands for Break from the Heat!

The LORD is my strength and song,
and he is become my salvation:
he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him. Exodus 15:2

Hello!  Yes, we have cooled down a bit!  I was able to walk after not being able to for almost a week because of the high temperatures!  I missed it!  But, since I wasn't walking, I was able to stay inside and do some crafting! To the T Gang, I will tell you I have been preparing napkins for the swap and making and designing ATC Cards for that swap.  I am ready for the big celebration; the ninth anniversary of our TSFT blog party every week!

I can't show you any of those things yet, but no worries, I have scrapbook pages to show you that I completed this week:

I used lots of items that have been in my stash for years!  Remember Mrs. Grossman's stickers?  The zig zag border piece across the middle is from Creative Memories from years ago.  The papers are from who knows where?  I really like using what I have rather than buying anything else!

I did several more also, but these are the only ones I will share this week.  Now for my ticket to the TSFT party over at Bleubeard & Elizabeth’s at Altered Book Lover. We ate at Hog Wild again a couple of weeks ago, so I took a photo of our iced tea and this time instead of taking photos again of their fun signs, I took photos of their wall near the order window.  We are big shocker fans, so I like looking at that wall and remembering how good our team did a couple of years ago, and how we made it to the Final Four!

Thanks for stopping by.  I appreciate seeing who all stops by, so be sure and say "hi".

Have a great week!

T Stands for Busy Week-end!

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." Proverbs 1:7 KJV

Happy Day, everyone!  I had a busy week-end finishing up our VSN challenges on Splitcoaststampers.

I completed all 19 challenges with 8 birthday cards, a Christmas card, a 4th of July card and 1 thinking of you card.  The other 8 cards could be used for a choice of occasion.  I love doing these challenges as they make me used long forgotten items in my stash; like brads, or stickers, or just older stamp sets. One of my favorites was one I made with stencils.  I tried a new technique; a spinner card.

Here is a photo of the fruits of my labor:

This will be short today.  My ticket for the TSFT party over at Altered Book Lover hosted by Bleubeard & Elizabeth is below.  We did go out to eat last week at our very favorite restaurant (Angelo's) that has reopened in a new location since closing because of the pandemic.  We celebrated Father's Day early.

Of course I can't get the photos in the right order!  But the top photo is the delicious cheese cake they brought us for free as an apology because they ran out of garlic toast and had to bake more and it didn't come with the beginning of our meal.  The cheese cake was out of this world and came with little bowls of chocolate, and caramel, which we used liberally!   The garlic toast was worth waiting for ; the best we have every had anywhere.  Our manicotti was out of this world as well.  We even brought home a sleeve of it each for supper the next night!  The middle photo was a wall  painting by our table.  And, is last our water!  Best meal!

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great week!

TSFT & Retreat

Happy TSFT!  I know it is only Monday, but I post Monday evening because it is already Tuesday over the pond.  First, I will post stash that I brought home from my Junk Journal Retreat a couple of weeks ago.  We all took junk and swapped! I have to say I should have taken a lot more, because I brought home a lot more than I took.  I met a junk journaler from UK who was over here for her daughter's graduation.  I met several others.  We were all meeting for the first time.  So fun!  Here are photos of things that will use in future junk journals or projects.

The hostess made & bought some of these for each of us!

Do you recognize this?  It is player piano music!

Lots of goodies!

And more goodies!

I didn't have a lot of stuff that junk journals call for, but I do, now!  No excuse to not junk journal! LOL We had a lot of fun.  I just stayed for the day, but the rest of them were there for the week!  Our hostess was wonderful, generous, and also the best cook!  Of course, I didn't remember to take photos of the food or drinks while there.

So, below are photos looking both ways on the trail, and me drinking my water, which is my ticket to T Stands for Tuesday.  This is a party held over at Altered Book Lover hosted by Bleubeard & Elizabeth.

I used Sage Shadow & white cardstock.  The image is Inkadinkado.  I blended Oxide inks through a oval cut out, and then stamped the image with Archival Jet Black ink by Ranger. The Bible verse is a Verve/

This is a card I made today for about 4 challenges on SplitcoastStampers: Virtual Stamp Night Mini to feature a hummingbird, Divine Design Bible Verse Challenge, Featured Stamper Challenge to feature FayeMakesCards and Creating, Challenge Your Stash.

I wanted to say that I tried Elizabeth's method for taking apart the napkins, and it works!  Thank you Elizabeth for the great tip.  Wishing everyone a great week!  Thank you for stopping by.
