T Stands For Toilet Paper Technique!

"Who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" Esther 4:14   (Week 4 Scripture Memory for Revive Our Hearts Esther Bible study)

Good afternoon blog followers!  Happy Labor Day to those in the USA and in Canada.  It is so quiet around here.  This morning there was no traffic out when I took my walk.  So nice!  Since we are retired, and our family lives far away, we have no special plans.  However, tomorrow, we will celebrate 53 years of marriage!  We have a special walk planned and maybe out to eat. I will share that next week.

I am joining Try It On Tuesday with a couple of projects for their In My Garden Theme.
For this card I began with a gelli print.  I stamped right on it in Memento Tuxedo Black and die cut with Sizzix stamps and dies.

Next I used a scrap of  paper, that I think I had sprayed with Memory Mists for another project.  I thought it looked the color of clay pots, and I wanted to paper piece them on my project.  You can see here where I had already die cut the pots out.

Next I used a new technique for a Alpha Challenge on SCS to use toilet paper or the roll somehow on your project.  I put this toilet paper right on the ink pad to ink it up and then applied it to my card base for a background for my cacti, which by the way were in my rock garden at a previous home.  I thought this added some great texture.

This is the result.  This is my first submission for Try It On Tuesday.  Also, I will submit it for the Technique challenge for our Alpha Challenge, and the Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS.  I cased a lovely card by asweetjewel aka Julie.

Close up to show the little cacti and their pots.

Close up to show the texture and gel pen detail.

I hope the recipient likes her free hugs.  :)

My second project for In My Garden theme  for TIOT is this little bookmark/tag which I am also submitting for our Stamp2Spend Challenge on Splitcoaststampers.

This was an image stamped on one of the tags I did last week with the sanitizer and oxide inks.

I played with some die cuts from SU! Stylish Stems Framelits dies.  I finished with gel pen accents and fiber.

Now for my drink related post for TSFT over at Altered Booklover, where Elizabeth hosts this Tea party!

In July we had a ladies Bible study luncheon.  I just loved their decorations and discovered a new tea and just have to share it with you.  Those little suitcases are so adorable, and everyone had a different teacup!

Downton Abbey Tea!  I didn't know they had such a thing!  But of course it just makes since!
And I loved it.  I guess they have several flavors, too.  This was a Christmas one.  I even love the container! :)

Have a great week.  Happy T Day to the T Gang!  Thank you so much for stopping by.  I love to hear from you, too.

Let's Party Over At TIOT!

Ps. 119:11 "Thy word have I hid in mine heart that I might not sin against thee."

Good afternoon!  Why am I posting today you might ask?  I have made a card for the birthday celebration over at Try It On Tuesday and wanted to post it right away!  The theme is Let's Party!

I made this card with a background I demonstrated for you a couple of weeks ago. Color Burst Powders Technique.  Today for TIOT's 10th Birthday, I stamped on it with Memento Black Tuxedo
ink and stamped an image from Hampton Art's Graphic 45 Children's Hour.  These cute kids are marching to a party and are celebrating how happy we are or should be!  :)

I love both the image and the sentiment in this set.

Besides being for the TIOT Challenge it is for the following challenges at SplitcoastStamper.

Alphabet Challenge Round 11: letter K

Free 4 All Challenge:  Memories Captured

Fan Club Monthly Theme:  Central Theme: Memories and Milestones

USEIT2019:  This is the first time I have ever used these stamps.

Ways To Use It:  Buttons, Bows, and Beads, Oh My!

Thank you for letting me participate in TIOT for Let's Party!  Be sure and stop over there and see all the other submissions.

Thank you for looking and stopping by.

TIOT & Second on the 2nd

"He has risen!"  Matt. 28:6

Today, I want to join in with Try It On Tuesday, and also with Elizabeth for her Second on the Second.

So first of all here is my project submission for the Things With Wings over at Try It On Tuesday.

I had this stamp set out to use because it's name is In Full Bloom which begins with an I and I wanted to use it for our Alpha Challenge on SCS for letter I.  Also, I wanted to use it for the bee for Things With Wings over at Try it on Tuesday!  My inspiration is from 2005! I looked up the stamp set on Pinterest and found a card similar to this which actually linked back to SCS in 2005. :)  The colors are for the Color challenge this week on SCS and the two backgrounds for the Try A New Technique on SCS.  Also, it will be my submission for this month's Fan Club Challenge at SCS, Sprinkles & Sprouts.  Check in over at Try it on Tuesday to see more projects with Things With Wings.

A close up of the bee, whose wings I covered in Wink of Stella ( a glitter pen).  Also, I spattered ink with an air gun on the white to match the spatters in the stamped image.

I used Nuevo drops on the flower centers.

Supplies I used, 3 stamp sets:  In Full Bloom, Canvass & Victorian Lace Background stamps, all SU!
Cardstock:  Calypso Coral, Peekaboo Peach, Old Olive, Whisper White, all SU!
Inkpads:  Coral Calypso, Old Olive, Peekaboo Peach, Yoyo Yellow, Memento Rich Cocoa
Markers: assorted
Aqua Pen:  I watercolored the flowers after stamping, using the pen and the ink.

I always forget something:  the Nuvo Crystal drops, Wink of Stella glitter, and then not pictured, because I forgot something else is the air gun for the spritzing with the markers.

Now for the second part of my post, to post one of my posts for a second time, since it is the second.  I tried to choose the same month at least for this one. It is funny, because I mention our daughter's 20th anniversary card I was making.  Now, I must be thinking of making their 25th anniversary card.

So for Elizabeth's Second on the 2nd, here is a replay of  May 21, 2014.

WOYWW 259

What is on my workdesk??  I have not been crafting today, so I just took a photo of some cards I have made in the last two weeks, and some stash!  I am sending the anniversary card to my daughter who is celebrating her 20th!  Can't believe it! Some others are for a contest at a stamp show I am attending in July. One is hidden, because it is a surprise. :) Also, there are some papers and some charms I got at Tuesday Mornings, and some foam brushes from Joann's.  Yesterday I made a run to the craft stores! :)  Even if I don't find anything, it is always fun, especially since I was with a friend and we went to lunch too!   I haven't posted in a couple of weeks, because I was out of town.  Came back with a new laptop that is really a laptop!  Before I had one that the screen had stopped working so it was hooked up to a tv. :)  My wonderful grandson programmed my new one for me, so I am good to go!  Although, Windows 8.1 takes some getting used to.  If you want to know why I am even showing you my workspace, hop over to Stamping Ground  for all the details.  And be sure to check back next week for our special anniversary. :)

Now, What's on Your Workdesk?   I am off to visit!  Thank you for your visit and for your kind comments.
Have a wonderful WOYWW!

Happy 6th Blogoversary to Foxy Stamping!

Psalms 37:4-5 "Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.  Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."

Six years ago April 5th, 2013,  I posted my first post to my Blog.  My grandson had set me up, and I was ready to go!  I cannot believe I have been blogging that long. If I figured up the numbers right this is the 213th post! I have gotten to know bloggers from all over the world,
and have learned a lot of craft techniques as well as learning about new tools!  Also, lately I have learned about artists and musicians, poets and a lot of other useful knowledge, and maybe some not!  But, I am smiling, because I have really enjoyed the journey.  I have enjoyed all of you, my blogger friends!  Thank you for going with me on this journey and for all your inspiration!

I am celebrating by joining in three challenges today: Try It on Tuesday (to use at least two stencils on our project) and Art Journal Journey with the theme "Having Fun' and More Mixed Media, anything goes with optional yellow.  I always want to join in, but never seem to get it done!  So today as part of my celebrating I am doing these three challenges.

I love working with stencils and think I used 4 different ones counting the letter stencils.  The having fun just made me think of all the fun I am now having because the sun is out and it is warm enough to walk!  So I am having fun in the sun.  I should have put birds on here, because I have been seeing birds again!  Hindsight is great!  Anyway, I sure did have some fun getting dirty with ink and paint! I use a 7x10 Canson 98 lb. book for my technique journal.   Thanks for looking

Here is my journal page:

You can't see the sparkle and there is lots of sparkle with the silks and I added Wink of Stella to the butterfly.
The only item not in the photo are the Bible art stamps I added because it needed something. But, I wanted it to look bright and sunny.
That is my project today. If you follow the links above you will see some wonderful projects for inspiration.  Thanks for stopping by and helping me celebrate my Blogoversary!

T Stands For A Little Bit Of Everything!

This month's memory Verses:  Eph. 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Hello Bloggers!  Welcome back!  Today I am posting for a couple of challenges and for T Stands For Tuesday!  And I have some questions for you, too!  And I will share more of our Maine trip.

First if you are not in the T Gang, please check out Bleubeard & Elizabeth's over at Altered Book Lover, where they host T Stands for Tuesday to see what it is all about!  We link up with her with our drink related posts on Tuesdays!  So fun and  Elizabeth is our  very gracious hostess,  and I think that Bleubeard keeps her in line.

Also, today, I am taking part with Try It on Tuesday.  Their theme this week was to slap it on.  That is why I am a tad late, because I have been slapping on the paste, inks, and I don't know what all!  This is also for the Art Journal Journey  World of Fantasy Challenge.

I applied some Gesso to my Multi Media Canson paper,  and then put down a stencil and sprayed with Memories Mists.  After it was dry I stamped the Dylussions Birds.  Next I used another stencil and applied Inca gold.  Then I used a brass dragonfly stencil and applied screen ink. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment.  Oh, I also slapped on some Washi Tape.  I slapped on some distress inks.  After I slapped on ink over the butterfly stencil I slapped the leftover all over the page.  I got rather slap happy!  Also stamped some texture stamps around the birds.  I think this is a lot of slapping and rather a world of fantasy  as one bird is telling the other to be herself!

Here is a photo of items used:

almost everything use, I forgot to put the Nuevo drops in there that were the birds eyes.

This is  where I slapped the extra off the stencils, to kind of clean them! I didn't apply any extra, just what was on the stencil, even the dragonfly was only what was left on the stencil.  I don't know what I will do with this yet.  It is about as big as a tag or ATC.  So, it will be a background for something..

There was another challenge: Eileen and Halle challenged us to show our Washi Tape:

I don't have that much, and rarely use what I have.  There are packages not even opened yet and they have been in that drawer for a long time!

So those are the challenges, now for more Maine photos:  These are on a day where our son took us up into the mountains to see many things we wouldn't have seen otherwise!  We had a wonderful day!

Moosehead Lake

Our son took us to a wonderful restaurant on the lake, where we enjoyed a wonderful lunch.  My drink is in the photo as well as my tote bag, but not me.  I have to take the photo. Hubby and I had our lemon water, but son had Maine Root Beer.

It was on my bucket list to walk a little of the Appalachian Trail, emphasis on a little", we even walked on the dangerous last 100 miles trail.

We took a detour off the AT to this little falls.

Me in front of the Falls.
Lastly, if you made it this far... my questions!

Do you watch videos, and see craft items used and buy them, just to put them away and forget to use them?
Do they get old and dried up before you remember to use them?
I am talking pastes, paints, and sprays and such.  When I made my journaling page, I found  a lot of my stash was dried up.  Some of it had never even been opened. These cute little jars of lime color, turquoise, and pink modeling paste by ART have never been opened, and they  are dry!  My sprays won't spray!  And some of my  Inca Gold jars of whatever are dried up.  I added water to one and it did absolutely nothing, so threw that one out.  I am so frustrated that I let this happen.
My last question is : Is there anything I can do other than throw them out?

One more thing, I apologize for last week's post having the long empty space before the comments.  I could not correct it no matter what I did. I tried and tried to edit it out, but couldn't.   I had a lot of trouble with last week's post anyway.  I hope this week's post doesn't do that!  I am not electronically smart!  I am blessed to have a blog at all, and blessed by all of you!  Thanks for stopping by!  Happy T Day!
