T Stands for Terrific Weather

 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD;

and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. Psalms 33:12

Yes, it is beautiful here.  Overcast & cool! It is 71 now, but earlier in the 60s.  I even walked a couple of miles this afternoon!  70s is so much better than 90s!  We have our windows open, and everything smells so good because it has sprinkled off and on all day.  It smells laundry on the line good!

I am taking part in an Altenew inspiration color challenge, so here is my card using one of their images, Blossoming Freesia. There are prizes!  So check it out.  Even if you don't have their stamps, you can get free coloring pages right there in the link.  I die cut it and used their stencil for sponging color on.  This is for a precious lady friend at church.  We both celebrate this birthday this year, only she is first. :) I die cut the happy and 80th out of gold (poster board paper) and added green rhinestones to the centers of the die cut image.  I used a Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder on the Certainly Celery panel and layered on a 110 lb white base.

For today's TSFT ticket, I will share a photo of our recent "brunch for dinner" at the local jimmy's egg, and yes, their name is in lower case letters.

I ordered the three eggs Western Omelet with two sides.  I chose mini stack and fruit.  They made an error and gave me hash browns, too, which I didn't eat.  I didn't like the taste.  The pancakes and omelet and fruit were great.  My husband had the meat lover's skillet and left the potatoes that were in it.  I guess he didn't like their potatoes either. We had our usual waters.  We just can't see paying $2.50 to $4.50 for drinks when we go out to eat.  That is like adding another $10.00 to your ticket.  We can drink our coffee and tea at home.  The only time we get the drink is when it comes with the meal, like a combo.

Other projects this week:

The Challenge of Splitcoaststampers was to use pencils.  I chose to use watercolor pencils to color my angel.  I think this is only the second Christmas card I have made so far this year.  I better get on the ball.  I love that patterned paper.  Isn't it beautiful?  It is from an old 8x12" paper pad that has been in my stash forever.  The angel image is from Stampendous and I had picked it up at a garage sale for a dollar!

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy T-Day.  See you next time!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 328

Col. 3:16-17 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God and the Father, by him.

This is  becoming a habit.  I again forgot about it being WOYWW!  I have been hunting photos to scrap for my British Isles trip, and seem to have packed them away when cleaning clutter.  So, am trying a LO with what was already out.  Don't know where my main envelope with the rest are. ?????
So, here is my desk as it looks this morning complete with iPad, and hot tea. :)
And below is a card with a Copic colored Lili of the Valley image, that I did for the Coffee Tea Ways to Use it Challenge on SplitcoastStampers last week.
And another card, a Christmas card that I did for the Featured Stamper Challenge on SplitcoastStamper, using a brand new (for me)  MFT  Die-namics pierced square die!

That is what I have been doing since last WOYWW!  Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget to check out the other deskers at Stamping Ground.

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 294

Col. 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Good morning everyone!  Missed you last week.  You would think that I could manage one Blog post a week, but apparently not!  So I have been crafting quite a bit in the new year.  In fact I am trying to use forgotten stamps in 2015. One of the cards I am currently working on is an old SU! image.  In fact I just water colored the image, just don't know what I am doing next.  But of course I am using new stamps too.  Right now I am trying to design a birthday card for a gentleman who plays a lot of golf.  I have a new image from Lili of the Valley, that I am planing to use.  Their images are so cute, They are a new favorite.  And of course I have a scrap page on my desk too.  For the first time I have joined the Progressive Scrapbook Challenge on Splitoast Stamper. So, I am working on Task # 3 right now.  Anyway, that is what is going on in my craft area!  Just showing my desk along with all the rest of the deskers participating in Julia's WOYWW at Stamping Ground.

Below is a  card I made for my wonderful Grandson with a Lili of the Valley image!  I used SU! DP and a combination of Copics and Blendabilities. I used numbers from my stash and one of my homemade enamel dots.

Also, below, is a photo of the wonderful handmade Christmas cards I received from my crafting friends.  They are all so wonderful, I  wanted to share them.

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a wonderful Wednesday! :)

WOYWW 268

I tell you this Wednesday desk hop sure comes around quickly every week!  How does that happen?  I will try to post early, because  I have Bible study, then I am scheduled for a root canal! Ouch!  Last night I made a CAS Christmas Card for our SCS Twisted Sister Challenge to make a Christmas card using a wreath.  Very simple and it only took minutes.  Am seriously thinking I might make them all like this! I used SU! Sketch It for the wreath, and the sentiment is from RiverCity Rubber Works Pine & Holly stamp set. These are both old sets, but classic.

My desk this morning!

I made the above card with my new Our Daily Bread stamps that I got at the stamp show last month.  I made it for the SCS Try a New Technique challenge to score your card, and for the Clean and Simple Challenge to do a Beach Themed Card.  I am hoping this will be a good masculine card.  The cardstock is Baja Breeze, and Close to Cocoa, both retired.

Thanks for stopping by, and for your encouraging comments.  I will stop by your desks this afternoon,
If you don't know what What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday is, stop by Julia's Stamping Ground and check out our Desk Hop.  Happy Wednesday!
