DTGD & WOYWW # 322

Col. 3:16-17 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God and the Father, by him.

Hello Fellow Deskers!  I was so busy with Splitcoast's Dare to Get Dirty Challenges for Fan Club members, all last week, that I forgot about WOYWW !  So on this post I will show you what my work area looked like last week, and show you the 40 cards I made last week for our week of challenges. It was a whirlwind week of 5 or 6 challenges a day for a whole week!  I used stash and stamps I hadn't used in a while and  used a variety  techniques. The challenges were really inspiring.  The good thing about all this is getting cards I need made ahead of time.  Four have already been mailed and an additional 12 have the insides already stamped.  Some of them are for specific people's birthdays, so I hope I am prepared!

Here are a couple of my favorites.  Top left is with some Graphic 45 paper and an old rabbit stamp I have had for 20 years.  Top right is a special cowboy card for a special cowboy.  It is a Lili of the Valley stamp colored with Copics and the banner is with Die-namics from My Favorite Things.. Bottom left is from a SU! set Countrside, and the bottom right is a B-Line Design stamp.  On that card I used the masking tape technique.

Two more favorites;  Left:  I heat embossed with winter white embossing powder this SU!image  Inspired By Nature on Kraft and and layered on red and Kraft and red again using SU! zigzag embossing folder.  The one on the right : I stamped images from Artful Illusions  Mrs. O'Leary's in Always Artichoke and layered on SU! DP To The Nines DP and Always Artichoke card stock, stamped with SU! Print Pattern background stamp.  I added a glass over the sentiment from SU! Edgy Eloquence.  Also added a key and Always Artichoke denim  ribbon and birthday hardware.  This one has already been mailed to my brother-in-law.

Nice of you to stop in!  I don't know what the weather is like where you are, but here it is very hot! So stay cool.  Stop in to see Stamping Ground and see the rest of the WOYWW deskers.
Happy crafting!

WOYWW 295

Good morning!  It is suppose to be beautiful here today, and I am looking forward to getting outside and walking!  I have been doing my walking on a track at the YMCA this winter, and am ready for Spring! I know it is only January, but we have had a couple of beautiful days to tease us.

I took a photo of my desk when I finished making a card for our Tea Pot Tuesday Challenge on Splitcoast Stamper. I took it last night so I could clean it up as today a friend is coming home with me from church after Bible study to cut out sentiments and verses on die cuts, so we can take them to church next Wednesday for our ladies to use when making cards for our Encouragement Ministry after Bible study.  We usually have about a dozen or so that stay after Bible study and make cards, and usually we get about 30 cards made.  Some will do cards assembly line style, while others just create on  their own.  You would be surprised what these ladies can create,  and they are not stampers or card makers, like some of us who are obsessed with this paper crafting business!  So here is a photo of my desk, because  that is what we do on What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday.  We share peeks of our desks for Julia's desk hop on Stamping Ground.

So you can see the sponges and ink pads I used to make my card.  I used my Birch Tree stencil for the first time.  And inked up Life in the Forest stamp set  for the first time.

And below is a photo of a card I made for my brother-in-law for his retirement.  I used another Lili of the Valley image this week. The plaid Decorative Paper is from a We R Memory Makers 6x6 pad and the orange paper is Bo Bunny, just paper from my stash!  I did stitching on it.  I like how  stitching looks on cards, just too lazy to do it most of the time.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes SU! mounted with buttons from my stash. I colored the image with Copics, and did paper piercing.  I made this card to honor our Featured Stamper this week on Splitcoast Stamper,.

Thank you for stopping by this week, have a great Wednesday!
