T Stands for Reflections from 2022

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” Ps. 51:10 KJV

I am posting this early for TSFT because I wanted to reach 50 posts for 2022!    I tried reading 50 books for 2022, but only read 45, none in December.  I also had a goal of 60 pages scrapped in 2022, but I only finished 53.   I am also, reflecting on a positive in 2022 and that is how I was blessed when  the Lord stirred my spirit to be serving him more and I was burdened to begin a Bible study that the older women in our church, like myself, would be able to attend in the daytime.  Some of us at this age are not comfortable driving at night.  God helped me to do this, and now I am looking forward to starting up again in the Spring.  Again, we are not comfortable driving in or getting out in bad weather. I was really blessed by the great response and encouragement of the ladies.

I journaled a weekly page for the end of the year:  We had a wonderful week with our family, and I just thought I would try to journal it.  I am still new at art journaling.  At least when I get around to scrapping the photos, I can look back and see what we did. :)

I plan to link with Elizabeth over at Altered Book Lover for TSFT, so here is my drink reference, a photo at one of our Christmas events at church.

I wish you all a Happy New Year!  Thank you for stopping by and reading my reflections.  See you next time.

T Stands for Too Cold!

9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

14 Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace,
good will toward men. Luke 2:9-14

22 degrees, feels like 8!   The sun is shining but still cold!  Our family couldn't come in time for Christmas because of the weather, so are coming today.  Still not fun traveling in this coldness.

I thought I would show some photos of some of the decorations of the season.

Someone decorated the bridge on my trail.

People are so nice to decorate the trail; gives us something to look at as we walk.

Our decorated tables at Bible study brunch.

Last week, I told you about Carols of Carols & Cookies; this week I show you a photo of half the table of cookies.  There was another half.

And here is a photo of our nativity scene in front of the podium.  Sorry it is blurry, tried to make it closer.

Here are some pages of the junk journal I showed you last week.

This is last page showing pocket and on the left is a flipflop. It flips open and has journaling pages inside it.

Below is the front inside of cover with double pocket, on the right is one of the clusters.

Below are clusters I made and then put in the journal.

This turquoise envelope is a full-page pocket in this part of the journal.

And, in this part of the journal it is a double tuck. It is sewn in like a page.

I just thought I would show some of the pages as some were interested in seeing them.  There are at least 60 pages so can't show them all.  We will have our Christmas this week, so still like Christmas here. I hope you all have a wonderful week.  I am linking to TSFT over at Atlered Book Lover, joining Bleubeard & Elizabeth.  It is our tea party we have every week. If you post a blog and make a drink reference, you can join in also!  Can you see my drink reference?  Happy T Day to the T gang!  Thank you so much for stopping by; be glad you could do it virtually, because it is even colder since I started typing this post! Stay warm!

T Stands for 'Tis the Season

Luke 2:9-14

'Tis the season!  And it is busy!  I am sorry I haven't been around, but here is what I have been making this month.

I really enjoyed this challenge from Dearjuliejulie.  Here is the challenge:
LARGE COVER binder ring junk journal! 12 days to build a journal Day 1 - YouTube

To start the season, I went to a class and put together a wreath. Besides, the crafting I have been attending a lot of seasonal events, and decorating, and making Christmas cards, 62 so far, and mailing them and packages, etc.  I also attended a beautiful Cookies and Carols service at our church Sunday night.  A gentleman at our church gives us the history of the carols and we sing them in sets of three.  Besides accompaniment by a piano player, regular organist, keyboardist, one young man played an antique organ. One lady played the saxophone for a couple of the songs.  Then a lady sang "O Holy Night", and we ended singing "Silent Night" by candlelight.

Here is a photo of me with the wreath I decorated:

We will be celebrating more Christmas after Christmas as the weather forecast is for really cold wind chill and maybe snow, so bad for driving.  Our family will come after Christmas.  I wish you all a warm Christmas.

You can check out the other participants if you click on the link.  You could even join us if you post something related to a drink of some sort.
Can you spot mine?  Thanks for stopping by!  I appreciate you.
