Craft Ready Space & WOYWW # 482

Phi 4:4  Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

Good Morning WOYWW Deskers!  I have been missing  from Julia's Blog Hop over at Stamping Ground for a few weeks.  We just got back from a week's vacation to Maine.  I didn't even know what day it was until I got my email  that Kelly had posted for WOYWW!  Thank you, Kelly!  So, this is what my desk and craft area look like.  When you don't craft, it stays clean.  I had cleaned it up before leaving and it is still just like I left it!  But, soon, it will be messy as I will begin to scrap some of our photos.

I can't tell you how much I love my glass mat!  The best part is that area on the mat is always clear for crafting.  I may have all kinds of things laying around it, but my crafting area on the mat is clear for me.  And it works fabulous for scrapbooking because of how large it is.  24 by 14 inches!

This is where my laptop usually is, and also in top left is my Selphy Cannon photo printer.

My mixed media corner and cutting and die center.

Cards on top of the shelf are what we made at a recent FSJ (Fun Stampers Journey) workshop.

It was so nice to come back to a clean space; all ready for me to start crafting!
Thanks for stopping by!  It will be nice to see your spaces again and see what you are doing!  Have a great week!

New Beginnings & WOYWW #396

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage:  be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

I hope you all had nice holidays and are having a nice beginning to 2017!  Like with all new beginnings, it takes a little work. My photo of my desk for What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday is staged, I confess.  I just wanted to show you what I am doing.  I am trying to get organized for the new year, make a new beginning.   I have been making a notebook with tabs for all the challenges on SplitcoastStamper.   I have included my birthday lists of all groups I am member of in the back.  Hopefully, I will not miss making a card for an upcoming birthday! :)  Do you see those cute little jars with bakers twine in them.  Is that cool or what?  I scored them on clearance at a local stamp store last Friday.

I did reach my goal of 100 pages scrapped in 2016!  Now, I have set my 2017 goal as 100, also, since I know I can do it!  It isn't like I even need to print photos!  I have hundreds.  I am trying to scrap the 80s right now!  And when I get all caught up with that, I can begin my heritage albums, because I have all my Mom's photos, and her Dad's photos!  And that is just one part of the family's.  I have all branches of the family's photos from husband's and mine!  Everyone gives me their photos, because if they didn't give them to me, they would trash them!

Don't forget to check out Julia's Stamping Ground to find out all about WOYWW and to visit all the other deskers!  Maybe, you want to join us and show us your desk! :)

Happy New Year and WOYWW!  I hope you are having a nice new beginning!  Thank you for stopping by!

Happy Thanksgiving! & WOYWW 390

Ps. 107:1  O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Good morning!  My desk is a mess today due to nothing working out as planned!  Do you have days like that?   Also, showing you a shot of two plastic organizer pieces I picked up for a couple of dollars at a store that was closing and selling their display cases etc.  I am uning one for envelopes and the other for anything that will fit in it.  It is three sided.  I find that if something is stored in a drawer, as neat and organized as that is, I forget to use it!  So put some things in this plastic display case so I will see it and use it!

Also, forgot to show you my birthday presents from a couple of weeks ago.  Some new Chameleon markers  and a Wash Tape storage/dispensor.

Why am I showing all this to you?  Check out Julia's Stamping Ground and find out all about it, plus see many other bloggers desks from all over the world!

Messy, unfinished projects that didn't go as planned.  Also on left a few things I picked up on clearance at Hobby Lobby!

My new Washi tape organizer & dispenser on top left and on bottom right my new Chemeolon Markers.  Also on top by light you see an example of calendars I make every year for friends and family.

Picked up pamphlet holders at store closing  for envelopes and embossing powders & assorted items.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
Thank you for stopping by!  And for my American friends have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Re-organization & WOYWW 366

Hebrews 11:1  "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

Hello friends!  Another week, another Wednesday!  We get to hop around the world and look at each other's desks and projects!  We all link up this week at Lunch Lady Jan's.  So fun this meeting people all over the world.  Well, I just checked and Jan's Blog is posted so I am posting this Tuesday night!

I have been cleaning tonight.  That is what I do sometimes when I can't sleep.  I have done some major moving in my craft room.  So one side looks light and clean now, while the other side of the room is heavy!  I just have too much stuff.  I think the time is coming when I need to start getting rid of stuff, and yet I am still purchasing stamps and supplies.  I am waiting for an order this week from Lili of the Valley in UK.  You can see I don't need it.  In fact as you look at my space, one wonders where I might be putting "more"!  Musings of an addicted crafter!  What is going on in your craft area? I am just going to hop over and check you out!

WOYWW 339 Stamp-Storage

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,  To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.  Titus 2:3-5

Good morning!  It is time to show what is on our craft desks!  Everyone else is showing theirs, too over at Stamping Ground.  Be sure and check them out. Mine is clean!  Many of you guessed two weeks ago what was new on my desk.  It was the new Stamp-n-Storage Combo Holder for all my SU! ink pads, markers and refills!  Well, not all of them, but the current colors, and the In-Colors. Anyway, after I got that, I decided to do a little re-organizing.  So I am including a collage of sort of what my space looks like.  The first photo, though is what my desk actually looks like this morning.  I am not crafting, but last night got my package of Crazy Birds stamps and dies.  I stamped and cut out one bird, just to try them out, but that is as far as I got!  Hopefully, I will get to play later today with my new toys. First we are going to a Seniors even at our local Art Museum. It is a brunch and we get into the museum free!  Yay!  Free brunch and art are always good!
So, without further ado, here is my desk! Look good, because it will never be this clean again! LOL  Look at all that clean work space!  Wow!

Thank you for stopping by!  I will see you at your space shortly!  Have a great week!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 329 & Please, help?

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,  To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.  Titus 2:3-5

Good morning!  I have had a great week-end and week of fellowship in God's word and with other Christian women!  We had a great Women's Retreat this past week-end which lead into a wonderful new Bible study!  Titus 2.  Wow!  It is the study of how older women are commanded to instruct the younger women by their lives of living out the word of God. Now I knew this but now we will apply what we are learning!  That is my homework this week to memorize the verses at the top. Anyway, just had to share this.

Also, I thought I would share that in order to see a demonstration, I had to download a new app: Periscope.  You watch the demonstration or whatever it happens to be on your phone or tablet, live. You can even comment or ask questions! Here is a link to a Periscope about Periscope.(it will only be there for 24 hours after scoped.)  Just thought if you never heard of it this would tell you a little bit. :) And the scoper answers your questions.  Is anyone else doing this?  I also, to have this app , had to have a twitter account!  Oh, my goodness, am I in the electronic world or what?  So this is really a matter of prayer for me, to not spend too much time with all this electronic, Blogging, and the rest of this online stuff.  To disciple the younger women, I must spend time in God's Word! So really need to pray to use my time wisely.

What is the help I need, besides prayer?  I am showing you my desk.  I began a project today.  The black dusty looking container ( I really did clean it.)  is a make-up container, from which I removed the lighted mirror from the top, because the lights didn't work.  But I love it for keeping make-up on top of my bathroom vanity.  So, my idea was to glue some fabric or paper in the top part. I don't have fabric, then remembered this package of 15 sheets of adhesive backed fabric that I bought at Tuesday Mornings, several years ago!  Bingo!  What do you think?  Good idea?  I like the solid turquoise color over the striped, what do you think?  The other help issue:  See the lazy susan?  It was something that belonged to my late mother.  The dishes that went in it were broken or I could have sold it as an antique.  Anyway, use it for my paints?  Any ideas?  Oh:  and with my Memory Mists; I use them once and then they are stopped up.  What do you do about this problem?  In the bottom part of the  photo is my new Copic holder.  It is actually a Noir marker holder. :)

I apologize for funny way words are above.  Can't find how to correct it.  Believe me I am electronically challenged!   Please bare with me. Thank you.

I finished my British Isles album this week!  Yay!

I also tried a new technique for two Christmas cards this week: Screen Divider Card
That is what is going on today in my area!  Now to go see what you are doing!  Thanks for stopping by and for any help with my questions!  Oh, and don't forget to check out all the other deskers at Julia's Stamping ground!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 327 & Organizing Attempts!

Col. 3:16-17 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God and the Father, by him.

Good morning WOYWW Deskers!  Just a quick shot of my desk.  I am still working on bookmarks for our retreat. And I was trying to reorganize this week.   I purchased a marker holder yesterday, but none of my markers fit in it.  I wanted to put my Copics in it, because right now they are in the old SU! plastic clam boxes.  Remember, I had them in my spice rack on the back of my desk, but they kept falling out the back and then under a cabinet that I would have to move the cabinets to find them? But for now they will remain in the clam boxes because they are too fat.  My SU! markers are too long.  The Sharpies fit, but I never use them much.  And even if you had markers that fit and filled this bag up, then it doesn't shut, because it is  too full.  So, I don't know what markers it is for, but I am taking it back and getting my $8.00 back!  LOL

I have been scrapbooking this week too, so here is one of my pages.
Credits:
The paper is Cloud Nine, and it is two sided and I got it on clearance years ago. The price is 10 cents still on the back. I got a half dozen of these travel sheets to use for our cruise pages. The letters are from a plastic box of letters I bought at a garage sale years ago. And if you recognize the tags they are punch out tags from sheets from SU! years and years ago! Oh and those ribbon sliders are from that long ago from Oriental Trading.  This is a scraplift from a fellow scrapper Anavon for my September Scraplift Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers.

More of our British Isles Cruise.

Thank you for stopping by!  I am off to see what you are doing this week! Happy WOYWW!  Be sure to check out the other deskers at Stamping Ground!

What's On Your Workdesk 316 Wednesday? and Scrapping

Good morning, fellow deskers!  I might get this posted earlier for a change.  So fun to visit you and I enjoy when you stop in to see my space and comment.  I have been trying to scrap a two page LO from my Brittish Isles trip, for two days now!  And today I might get it done! Hopefully it won't take me this long to do the whole album!   This is my  desk as it  has looked for the last two days.

Another project I have been working on is trying to organize all my 12x12 papers.  On Pinterest I had pinned a video about how to organize your papers by putting together colored cardstock and prints that would match.  Whenever you would want to do a page you woud have the papers already together and not have to hunt.  Well, I think she had only about 50 papers she was working with, whereas I  have hundreds.  So one picture shows you my small start in this momunental endeavor.  Tell me, if you are a scrapbooker, have you attempted this process?  What do you think about doing it this way?

I seem to be stuck on getting this layout done.

I put 4-6 papers of like colors and patterns together in 12x12 page protectors.  A very small start to my huge stash!

Thank you for stopping by!  If this WOYWW is new to you check out Julia's Stamping Ground  for all the details and to see some more desks.  It is really fun to hop around to all the desks and see what crafters are doing all over the worldl  Have a great week!

WOYWW 269

Happy Wednesday everyone!  I hope you are having a great week!  It is that  time once again to desk hop and look at everyone's desk!  I always enjoy looking at all your spaces and seeing what you are doing. I have learned so many new things since I started particcipating in Julia's desk hop!  Check out the rest of the desks at Stamping Ground.
I finally have my space put back together again after the carpet cleaning.  I took the opportunity to purge and to reorganize.  I now have most of my sentiment stamps in a handy space right at my finger tips and organized by , Bible Versses, Sympathy, Get well, and Anniversary, etc.  One whole drawer is for birthday stamps.  One drawer is for scrapbooking stamps, (alphabet, etc), and one drawer is for holiday stamps.  I still have lots of other stamp sets;  but it is more organized, now.  Here are some photos of how it is organized. I really did purge some stamp sets, and got rid of one large plastic cabinet. And, I did make a card on Monday!

This card was made for several Splitcoast Stamper challenges.  I didn't take a photo of sentiment on the inside, so am showing you the stamp I stamped it with.  The paper is SU! Bliss Blue Brilliant Blue CS & DP, all retired.  I used the SU!  Beautiful Wings Emboslit, and Banners Framelits. I also used Spellbinders Inverted scallopped circle dies and added pearls to the butterflies.  That is another thing I did, put all my butterfly sets and sentiments are all in one place!  It is so much easier to put my hands on what I want to use!
Have a great Wednesday!  I will hop over and see you all.  Thanks for stopping by, and for your encouraging comments.
