T Stands for Ten Years of TSFT!

It is finally time for our big anniversary party for T Stands for Tuesday over at Altered Book Lover with our host and hostess, Bleubeard & Elizabeth!  They have been holding these parties every week for ten years!  I haven't been here that long, but some of the others have been, I am sure. I joined 1/23/2018.  It seems like I have come for longer than that, but I just looked back!  So, I have only been coming for a little over 5 years!  It has been fun, Elizabeth!  Thank you!

Now, let the party begin!  First, I will show you how I made the ATCs I sent out.

I Water colored on the cardstock.  It was a watercolor cling wrap technique.  Puddles of watercolor, then blot with cling wrap. You are supposed to see lots of texture. I did mine wrong, but here is where the technique is demonstrated:

Then I glued the napkin over that.  Did I get this napkin in our swap last year from one of you?  Anyone recognize it?

Then I cut apart the piece.

I edged each piece with a black marker or ink. 

I then doodled around each one.

Now, to show what I got from my swap partner, who was so generous!  Oh my goodness!  My official swap partner was Mia in Greece! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

The ATC is very dimensional, and sturdy!  The one layer is up on dimensional tape. This is so beautifully done!  My photo doesn't do it justice.  She probably has a better photo on her blog. 

Lisca, look I have post cards!  A whole packet, plus a large one.  The one that says Greece is a large post card.  Gorgeous, gorgeous scenery on these cards in the packet!

This journal cover was handmade by Mia.  It is beautifully made.  I will treasure it.

She handmade this child's apron.  But it fits me! LOL I love all the pictures on it!

Here is a close up of the larger post card, and those are book pages in Greek, to use in art. 

And neat napkins, bling, tea, buttons, candy!  It is like Christmas!

Well, I also had an unofficial swap partner because Jan and I know each other on another website: SplitcoastStampers.  So since I made 4 ATCs, we swapped, too.

So, I got a fat envelope from Spain, too!

Here is Jan's beautiful mixed media ATC.  Since it says Time for Tea, this is my ticket today to TSFT, although, I think there are lots of beverage references in this post.  Do you see them all?

These were some more goodies from Jan's envelope!  Beautiful dies and embossed panels.  Thank you, Jan for everything.  I can't wait to use some of these goodies!

This is really turning into a long post.  But I still must post one more thing!

This 8x10 art journal page is for both this month's **ART*Journal*Journey Challenge of 'Come Fly with Me', and our picture of a 10 for our Anniversary Celebration for TSFT.  I think it fulfils both.

I die cut and stamped the number 10, a total of 10 times.  There are ten birds on here counting the Flamingo.  I first put on color bursts powders, and sprayed water on it.  I made a complete mess even though I put down newspaper under the whole thing and plastic under the page.  There will be other pages with these colors! LOL I then put on a napkin with the flamingo.  I am pretty sure this napkin is from our swap last year.  Who recognizes it?  The reason I am not sure is because I was in at least two napkin swaps last year.  After the napkin came the die cut numbers, punched birds and stamping.

Hello, hello everyone!  So, I read Elizabeth's post first and think I am supposed to show you the napkins I got in the swap.  I just took a photo of them altogether, so not sure who they are from?  Isn't it so cool that I got one with Queen Elizabeth on it!  So timely.  My ATC from Jo & Elizabeth are in the photo too but will add a close up of those. 

Thank you everyone in the swap for these fun napkins! Just remember, some got different ones.  Some didn't send all the same.

One of my favorites is Bigelow Lemon Lift black Tea.

I did my card class for the Seniors today and afterwards, since it was noon already and warm, I took a different kind of walk in an air-conditioned store.  And guess what?  There was still some wildlife! LOL

Can you guess where I was?  I was in a Cabella's sporting Goods store.  Did you guess right?  Made for some good photos, and it was a large store for lots of steps, too.

T For TSFT Reveal & Another Tag Tuesday Tag

The weeks are sure flying by, even when we are not going much because of Covid.  Today is our great reveal of our ATC swap that we did to celebrate the 7th anniversary of Elizabeth & Bleubeard's Tea Stands For Tuesday over at Altered Book Lover!

So without further ado, here is the ATC and goodies from Karen.  Somehow she knew one of my favorite color combos is turquoise and brown!  I still remember a favorite dress in those colors, which I wore to one of my wedding showers.  Love the cute little tea charm, too. 

 Isn't it neat how she put it inside a card, oh, yes a card, too!  She used washi tape.  I need to start using some of that drawer full on washi tape.  What a good idea.  I have noticed people are using it to seal their envelopes, too, now instead of licking them, as she did. And she made the cutest  tiny envelope to put in this stash of canceled stamps to use on future projects!

I did do another tag for Tag Tuesday sea theme that I would like to share.


Again, I was playing with my Tim Holtz Distress inks and TH Embossing Glaze.  Below, I stamped on a pre done tag,  from many years ago.  I used images from SU! and the sentiment is from Our Daily Bread.  I put the mat gel through the stencil.  Then I sprinkled the embossing glaze (two colors) on the paste, then heat embossed.  I watched a you tube demonstrating how to do this.  I am just loving these embossing glazes!

I had to edit to show the two ATCs I made for the 7th anniversary of TSFT!

I made them playing with my Tim Holtz Embossing Glazes.  I stamped with SU! stamps, then dabbed with VersaMark ink, then  applied the different glazes then heat embossed.  One for Eileen and one for our hostess.  I bet you can tell which one went to our hostess!   I hope they liked them!

T Stands for Trading ATCs

Trading ATCs was so fun!  That is how we celebrated TSFT's 6th anniversary for those who don't know.   Our hostess for TSFT is Elizabeth over at Altered Book Lover.  Elizabeth I think the photos of our ATCs meet the requirement for my drink related post.

I got mine this week from Lesca!  I can't wait to show you this fabulous ATC with it's own envelope decorated , also!   I love the papers she used.  Coffee and Cake for T day! I tried photographing with both my camera and iPad, but couldn't get the true colors, which are teals in the cups and panel behind the cups, and the gems sparkle more IRL, too.  Maybe she will have better photo of it on her blog.
Isn't it wonderful?  Every little detail on it.

She also sent me goodies!  I love the arrows, and picture using them on scrapbook pages!  And she even sent me a die.  Thank you Lisca, so much!  You are amazing!

  Isn't that llama adorable, and I even like the pink envelope that the ATC was in.

Next, I will show you the ATC that I sent to Eileen.  I have only done a few ATCs before.  This is not as elaborate as the one I received. :)  I used TH spray inks on watercolor paper, then stamped the Irsh Blessing on it with TH distress ink.  I die cut the tea cup and put on here, and stamped "6th" on, and added the tag.  Also, I flicked some gold FSJ silk on, and added a teabag charm.

Here are some of the path that I walked around Lake Estes, Colorado.  It is 4 miles around, but I didn't go all the way.  I just went a ways both directons from where we parked.  I walked 3 miles.  Hubby walked some with me and then waited on a bench.  I took a photo with the zoom on of him when I got to the other side.  I wasn't even sure it was him until I got home and looked at it on my computer.  It was him.

It looks like a street, but this is the walking/bicycle path.

That is the Stanley Hotel, that I could see, but with the zoom on.  The historic  Stanley Hotel  is what  inspired Stephen King's   "The Shining" and then a movie with Jack Nicholson.  The movie wasn't filmed there though.

There were several of these signs, along the way.  Watch out for elk!

Lovely walk!  I miss Colorado! At home we are already back to mid to high 90s.   I went walking today, and as it rained last night, it was humid and buggy this morning at 7.
