T Stands For Tags!

14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: 15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; 16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain. Philippians 2:14-16

Hello!  It is time for my T Stands for Tuesday Post! And today I am posting some tags I made for Tag Tuesday and for my January Junk Journal Challenge.  Our challenge for the Tag Tuesday was given by hostess Wendy and we are to use fabric on it.  I made three, but don't know which one I like best.

This is the one I will submit for the Tag Tuesday Challenge.  It is made from (junk) a Kleenex box and covered with an old piece of linen cloth.  The image is a Julie Dear Julie digital, as well as the image of the fussy cut seashell. The sentiment is from an old Stampin' Up! catalogue.  I inked edges of both with Not Quite Navy.  I punched a hole and used a scrap of the same fabric for the tag topper.  I left some fabric frayed at the bottom.

Here are the other two tags, where I used the embroidered edges of the fabric, also.  The pocket on the one is from a button envelope that came with a blouse.

On the backs I glued notebook paper for journaling.  I plan on putting all three of these tags in my junk journal.

That is my craft project for the week.  Now for entry to Bleubeard & Elizabeth's t-party over at Altered Book Lover.  We always share a drink or something drink related in our post and join the party!

We did go out to eat around two one afternoon when there were very few other people eating at the time.  We had a gift card with a choice of places and chose LongHorn Steakhouse, because we didn't think we had ever been there.  I only remembered to take a photo of our water. LOL

Once the food came, it was so good, I forgot about any other photos.  We both ordered the grilled chicken & Strawberry Lunch salad combo.    Out of this world good!  Hubby got with seafood chowder with his and I got a sweet potato, which by the way was the largest, sweet potato I've ever seen!  I took half of it and half of salad home for lunch the next day!  We were so happy, with the comfort, not cold like some restaurants, service & food, we will be going back again.  Then I will try to remember to get photos of the neat decor!

That's it for today.  I am looking forward to checking in at TSFT and see what everyone else is doing this week! Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great week!

T Stands For Two Tags

"Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine." Isaiah 43:1 b

Hello!  Today is cool but beautiful out.  I even got an afternoon walk before the sun started to go down; it does that earlier now!  I have been creating tags for a tag swap in our Juliette's Jewels a sideline of our Julie Dear Julie junk journaling.  I decided to make them mini journaling tag booklets

This is the front of tag one:  with fabric, napkin, stamped sentiment, brad, tie, charm.

Tag one: showing the front and back. I connected the tags with the fabric to make a tag journal. Stamped and torn image glued on the fabric.  I also put journaling paper in middle and sewed in.
Notice the leaf!  It is one of my leaves that I preserved with modge podge a couple of weeks ago.

Tag one open:  I covered inside of one with scrapbook paper and the other side with music paper.  I stamped and tore an image to lay over the tag, and added a stamped die cut leaf and squirrel brad.

Tag one center showing how I did the signature of journaling papers.

Tag 1 showing the side with a pocket for goodies for the recipient.  I added goodies when I mailed them.

Tag 2  showing fabric , napkin, charm, brad and twine for closing.  Also shows speckles of gold which I sprayed on.

tag 2 showing back and front and how I connected with the fabric to make a journaling tag and the sewn signature.  Stamped and torn images on both front and back. lace on both.

Tag 2 inside:  Covered left with music paper and right with the scrapbook paper.  Stamped and torn image on left.

Tag2 showing right side of inside.  Pocket with stamped die cut leaf and lace.   Again before I mailed I included several goodies.

Tag2 showing journaling pages in center.

I had fun making these and followed a tutorial on You Tube by Graphic Fairy.  It is called a tag mini booklet for a junk journal.

I am joining Bleubeard & Elizabeth over at Altered Book Lover today for T Stands For Tuesday, a little tea party we have every week.  We only have to have a drink related item in our post to join in the fun, and you are welcome to join us.

Here is my water on my bench on the Red Bud Trail.

Would you believe they decorated my trail for Halloween?

Happy Trails to you!  Thank you for stopping by.  I appreciate it and hope you are inspired to create or to walk.  :)  Happy T Day!

Second on the 2nd & Tag Tuesday

"Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honor all the day." Ps. 71:8

Hello Dear Readers.  I thought I would join Bleubeard & Elizabeth  for the  Second on the 2nd today over at Altered Book Lover.  I will show you  a past  post for a second time. But, first I will show you my Tag for the Tag Tuesday Challenge.  Valerie challenged us to do a vintage tag.

Mine started with this treated tag  from Artful Illusions/Mrs. O'Leary's.  Then I tore and inked up a digital image from Scrapbooking With ME.  I have watched her on you tube, and like her style.  I then added words and butterfly from Tim Holtz, inking both.  I added a scrap of lace, Nuvo dots, and some inked up canvass ribbon.

I haven't done a Second on the 2nd for a while, and am not sure how to do it.  Copy and paste?  I will try that here goes:

Butterflies Are Free

A few weeks ago on my WOYWW post I indicated a box  on my craft area that had butterflies in it.  My Blogger friend Brandy sent them  to me.  It included about 40 butterflies of different colors and different cuts. I thought I would show you today two more cards that I made with the butterflies.   I thought they were all so lovely and lacy, I just love using them on my cards. They made these cards easy! Thanks Brandy! :)

Submitted to QFTD184 & AOCC13 Challenges
I needed this card unfortunately for a friend this week.   I used SU! Thoughts & Prayers set.  I used Spellbinders oval and lacy oval dies.  I made clouds by punching a scalloped circle and sponging around it, a trick I learned from one of SCS friends. :)  The cardstock is SU! Baja Breeze & Close to Cocoa, & Whisper White.   The ink is VersaFine Vintage Sepia, ( my favorite go to ink pad).  I sponged with Baja Breeze.  Then I  used pearls on one of the butterflies that Brandy so wonderfully cut and sent me! :)

Submitted  for QFTD182 & AOCC13 Challenges

I made this birthday card for a dear friend.  Just gave it to her this week.  I ran the white through with a EF, and layered on Tempting Turquoise.  I stamped it with sentiment from Elegant Greetings from SU!  I just happened to have ribbon that matched the butterflies! :)  Really, the four butterflies are the stars here!

I wish you all a great week-end!  Hope you get to craft some.  Thank you for stopping by and for your comments!
Hugs!

The cards are just beautiful! I really like the colors and the embossing folder on the second one. :-)

Well it sort of worked.  I picked a short one from the year I first began a blog.  Here is the link to the real thing if you care to go back and see what my blog looked like back then.  Side bar is different.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful 4th of July if you are in the USA.

My Memory Tag

"Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honor all the day." Ps. 71:8

Hello readers.  Today I wanted to share with you a tag I made for the Tag Tuesday Challenge.  Wendy has challenged us to use a photograph or part of one on our tag. I really wanted to do this one because I am a scrapbooker.  I visualized using it on a scrapbook page, but now think it will go in my junk journal I am working on.    One reason is the photograph has already been scrapped, but the other is because it is a memory I enjoy looking back on.  I remember what I was feeling at the time. I remember the breeze, the sun, the sound of the waves and smells, and they were all happy memories.  So, I want to put it in my junk journal that I will be using this year, as list journal, or a goal journal, or however I want to use it.  I will be able to look at the photo and relax and be calm, and maybe even inspired! LOL  This was from our trip to Maine in 2018.

First I cut a tag shape, then smooshed it in Distress oxides on my glass mat. Then I used modeling past through a Rabbit Hole Designs stencil. I had won it in a prize with some stamps, too, from SplitcoastStampers.  I die cut the stamped sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs. I die cut some shells to add to the tag.

Hope you like my tag.  I think I will enjoy using it in my junk journal.

Be sure and check the other tags over at Tag Tuesday.

T Stands For 1919 Morning Lady Tag

"Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honor all the day." Ps. 71:8

Good evening.  I am posting this for T Stands For Tuesday early, Monday evening.  I will link up with Bleubeard and Elizabeth over at Altered Book Lover.  She is a lovely hostess every week; and all we have to do is post something drink related in our post and we can come to the party!

I don't know how Monday evening sneaks up on me, but it does!  But, I do just have the ticket this evening for the Tea party!  My secret prayer sister revealed herself to me with a gift Sunday at church.

I already am drinking tea out of my new cup and am wearing the cozy soft socks!  It has turned cool here and the furnace is on!  Brr!  What happened to Fall?

What am I working on this week?  Still working on Junk Journals! LOL  Because I finished my September Junk Journal Challenge for Dear Julie Julie , I was rewarded with free digi images from her.

This is a tag (with a pocket) I created using one of her Morning 1919 ladies.  This will go somewhere in my journal.  I colored one of Julies's 1919 Morning Ladies a little with Copics.  I colored the little flower with a Copic , also.  I added pieces of lace, ribbon, and a sticker.  The card stock  is Ruby Red from Su!  The Designer Series Paper or DSP is from SU! also, both cardstock and paper are retired.  The leaves are dies cuts from Special Reason stamp/die bundle from SU! (Stampin' Up!) These Morning Ladies are available in her Etsy Shop.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  Thank you for your comments.  It is nice to know someone is actually reading my posts! LOL

Happy T Day to the T gang!

T Stands For Tag on Art Journaling

"I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.  The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower." Ps. 18:1-2

Welcome back to Foxy Stamping today!  I have been working on an Art Journaling Page for this month's theme of Pockets & Tags over at Art Journal Journey.  I really liked the theme, since I have the tags and pockets!  And, I found my art journal!  So here we go!

First, I played with my TH Distress inks, by sponging on my page different colors starting at the top right.  I sponged the color up to a piece of paper, then moved the paper and begun with another color.

Then I used a couple of stencils and sponged the ink over them in different places on the page.

Next, I added some stamping.  One of the stamps was a SU! dictionary stamp.  I forgot to include that in my photo of what I used.  I just did partcial stamping with that stamp, and then some word stamps.
I have no idea who the Art stamp is by, because someone sent it to me.

Then, since I don't really sew like Elizabeth, I added doodles all around the page.

Then I did some of the same steps on my pocket and attached it with washi tape.

Last I played with the TH oxides and embossing glaze on the tag.

Below is the journal I am using.  This is only the 8th page I have done in it.  I don't know if I have shared them all or not.  The tags and the pockets ( library book pockets, I believe) were garage sale finds, years and years ago!

And below most of what I used.  I forgot the VersaMark ink pad, and instead of the classics stamp set, I used the face on the other stamp set.  And also not shown SU! Dictionary Background stamp, and the Art quote.

That is my project, now for my drink, below.  Elizabeth, we finally went to Bagatelle's.  We brought it home, so this is my photo of our sandwiches, our Fattouch salads, and my water.  We ordered something chocolate, too, since it was a bakery.  And because, I told them it was our first time and we had heard about them on a friend's blog, they gave us some delicious Lemon Almond Croissants!  Everything was  delicious!  Thanks Elizabeth.
If you don't know why I am posting a photo of a drink, that is what we do for T Stands For Tuesday, we include something drink related in our post and join Elizabeth and Bleubeard over at Altered Book Lover.

Thank you for stopping by!  Happy T Day to the T Gang!
