Results from NSD

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:  therefore, my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.    Psalms 28:7

In the last post I was getting ready to participate in National Scrapbooking Day, which lasts all of May here. :)  I did get 14 layouts done and I think as many cards.   Some of the cards have already been mailed , so they didn’t get in the photo.  But May isn't over, so fully intend to get more done.  Below, is a photo I took on our stairs of everything so far.  I scrapped layouts of photos taken in 2021, 22, 23 and 2024.  I don't scrap in order,  but should.  It took me a half hour to get all these layouts into the proper albums!

I hope the ones who celebrate had a nice Mother's Day, Sunday.  I had a lovely, relaxing day.  Below are photos of my gift from our church Sunday for Mother's Day.  They gifted all the ladies these lovely travel mugs.  Good thing because I left my other old scratched up one at the Junk Journaling retreat last month.  I will just have to remember not to take it to Bible study, because all of our cups are the same! LOL

It even came in a pretty box.  This is also my ticket to the tea party over at Altered Book Lover where Bleubeard & Elizabeth host the Tea Stands For Tuesday event each Tuesday.

Thanks for stopping by to see what I have been doing.  I hope to see what some of you have been doing.  See you next time.

T Stands for More Patriotism

4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,

and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting;
and his truth endureth to all generations. Psalms 100:4-5

Hello everyone!  Welcome!  Just one more week to our big reveal and anniversary party over at Altered Book Lover with Bleubeard & Elizabeth!  Are you ready?  My swap partner and I are ready and have been ready for a month!  We didn't want to miss the big celebration. As our hostess, Elizabeth reminded us last week, it will be our 10th!  So, she said besides some of us doing a swap that we should post something with a 10 on our post, since it is the tenth anniversary of TSFT.  So be thinking what you will do for that.  Just another way to make it special!  Hope you all can come next week.

We finally got some rain!  Thank you, Lord.  We needed it so bad.  Everything was just drying up.  For a whole week, I didn't get much walking in.  I was in my craft room more!  I have been junk journaling.  I am doing the July Challenge with DearJulieJulie on You Tube.  Another thing I have been doing is making samples for our big challenge at SplitcoastStampers.  Once a year we have DTGD, (Dare To Get Dirty).  It  is about 40 special challenges over a week's time for our Fan Club members.  I am one of the hostesses, so am trying to make samples for the other hostesses.  It will go live July 22nd.  Another project that I am working on is our VSBN (Virtual Scrapbook Night) Summer Challenges.  The Summer will go quickly with all of this going on, besides life happening!

I will show you a few of my Junk Journal projects:

We were to make three tags as one of our elements.  We have a choice of bases, for example: Mystery, wrinkled, bubble, envelope, scrap pad, Texture, noisy, map, etc.  For these I used mystery.  Each tag has something hidden.  The first one is a hidden journal card, if you pull the top off; the middle has a waterfall inside if you untie and open it up; the third has a pocket in the side and inside is a little journal booklet.  I also used DJJ's digitals, planner papers, buttons, lace, & postage stamps & trims.  These will go in the journal when finished.

I thought I would show the July decorations that my hair stylist puts up.  She is so good about putting up decorations each month, and so good at it.

Now for my ticket to TSFT.  The only requirement to join T Stands for Tuesday over at Altered Book Lover is to have a beverage reference in your blog post, then you can link to Elizabeth's blog and visit the rest of the t gang all over the globe and see what they are all doing.  We hope you will join us: T Stands For Tuesday.

This is a photo from February 2015 from our trip to Kuai.  We took a Kayak trip and then a hike up to a waterfall, where we stopped and ate a lunch.  I swam in the pool by the waterfall.

Thank you for stopping by! I am thankful for each one of you. I hope you have a great week!  See you next time, dear friends.

T Stands for Technique

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart:
try me, and know my thoughts:
24 And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalms 139:23-24

I thought I would share a technique I used today.  Our technique challenge on Splitcoaststampers was to watch a tutorial on 5 techniques to use up scraps.  I chose the one to cut up hexagons out of several of your scraps.  Even if your scrap was too little for the whole hexagon, you could use it around the edges.  I was happy with the scraps I found and how well they went together.   I even die cut the Happy Birthday three times and stacked it on here.  That was another technique, to die cut something more than twice and put on the card.  I need to get this in the mail tomorrow, because it is going overseas and is for a late January birthday.  Last time I mailed to this country it got there quicker than my Christmas card to Elizabeth one year; it took three weeks to across town!

I also posted VSBN (Virtual Scrapbook Night) Challenges on Splitcoaststampers this month.  They won't be for just one night though, they will be for all of January.  The challenges are all about the new as in the New Year.  One of the challenges was to scrap something about something new.  I chose to scrap about my new craft items from the swap.  As I showed you the gift last week, I thought you might like to see the scrap layout about the gift.

You might notice that I used the paper that was the wrapping on one of the gifts.  She had wrapped it in 12x12 scrapbook paper.  I used two tags on here that were in a package of tags 75% off at Hobby Lobby before Christmas.  I didn't need tags but for 2.53, they make great embellishments for Christmas themed layouts, and cards or junk journals. There were 60, with 4 of each of 15 designs.

My ticket is on my scrap layout!  Yes, it is time for TSFT party over at Altered Book Lover with Bleubeard & Elizabeth.  I hope you will check it out.  We really have fun every week visiting each other over a beverage.

I hope you have a great week!  It is starting nice here, as I got in an hour's walk this afternoon.  It is windy, but nice, and sunny. Happy T Day!

Thanks for stopping by.  See you next time.

Happy 6th Anniversary/Birthday to TSFT

Can you hear me singing?  I hope not!  We are celebrating Bleubeard & Elizabeth's 6th year of doing T Stands For Tuesday!  I have had such fun since I started linking over to Altered Book Lover  to celebrate T Day!  I have gotten to know so many bloggers from all over the world!  If you ever want to join in our T Days, just post to your blog a drink related post, and then link up on her blog.  Elizabeth has been so gracious to hostess us each week!  Thank you,  Elizabeth & Bleubeard of course, too!  Some of us will even swap ATCs this week to celebrate!

So,  here is my drink related post.  I am sitting here doing this post drinking my Twinings Lady Grey!  The reason it is sitting on my Big Shot is because I have been going through my stash of cards looking for one to send a friend.

The reason I wasn't here last week, was because I was busy hosting our Virtual Scrapbook Challenges on SplitcoastStampers,  and also participating in the Virtual Stamp Night for cards. I posted 6 scrap challenges, and also did  16 card  challenges!  I have a photo for you for all the cards and a rock, and separate ones I already put in the mail.
I was using them almost faster than I was making them! LOL

One challenge was to paint a rock!  LOL  Another was a slider card. ( the one with the fairy on the robin)  I used alcohol ink backgrounds I had made one day when playing, on several of the cards.  On the snail mail card, we used a Fossilized Rock Technique.  I will have to demonstrate that on one of my future posts!

This was a sketch challenge.

I hope you enjoyed looking at these cards.  I really had fun doing the card  challenges!  Our theme was Rock Star.

My scrapbook challenges had a theme of Scrap Fireworks.  We just got our inspiration from different scenarios surrounding 4th of July.  I gave them a color challenge for red, white & blue, for example
You can play these challenges for the whole month of July if you are a scrapper. Just click on the link above.

Lastly a few photos of my walk I take every morning.  Not along the Rhine, or a lake even!  And bad photos too, as I am having problems with my camera, or the operator!  The best photos were the ones my camera wouldn't take! LOL  First the batteries weren't working, but I jiggled it.  Then my memory card was full!  LOL

a cemetery

the funeral home of the cemetery

The path no longer overlooks the cemetery here.  The path is actually an up and down, and curvy.  So not only do I get my steps, I get some exercise, too.

Sometimes, I actually go over and walk in the cemetery; it is so pretty and peaceful.

That is my post for our Celebration Tea Party!  I am scheduling this, so hope it works!
Thanks for stopping by!  I will probably be late! But I hope I remember to link this after it posts, and to put my asterisk by my name!  I do want to exchange ATCs.
Have a great week!

T Stands For Day 11 sm

Psalms 37:4-5 "Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.  Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."

This is day 11 of Calvinball 2019!  So I am still scrapping away.  I also am doing layouts for March Madness VSBN (Virtual Scrapbook Night) on SplitcoastStampers.  I have gotten 12 layouts done so far, and also have done several cards for the Mini VSN (Virtual Stamp Night) on SplitcoastStampers.

On My scrap layout I stamped the title with Stamping Up Bold Line Alpha stamps and then punched out with the SU! banner punch.  I colored in the letters with Distress marker Mermaid Lagoon, then strung them on Washi tape.  I stamped the owls  on the same polka dot paper that I used on the page, with Stamping Up Punch Bunch stamp set,  and punched with the owl punch.  I also punched out black eyes and put on amber rhinestones on them.  I added punched hearts, and a star and backed my photos with black.  These are photos from 1990;  I have a whole box yet of 1990 photos!

I used the Rolling Marble Technique for the background of the card.  I put drops of re-inker in a plastic container that has a lid.  Then I put  5 marbles in and rolled them around to get ink on them.
Then I put a little adhesive on some cardstock and put it in the bottom of the container.  Then put the lid on, and then rolled the marbles back and forth over the cardstock.  I used Pistachio Pudding and Bermuda Bay.  They weren't different enough, so looks one color.
So that is my background!  Then I stamped in Pistachio Pudding this silhouette girl from SU! Easter Blossoms stamp set.  Then added ribbon and enamel dots.

These are my projects; now is time for the part of the post that is for T Stands For Tuesday over at Altered Book Lover.  I am trying to drink more water.  I find that if I put it in a bottle I can at least know if I drank 16 ounces!  If I start early enough, I can get to bottles drank.  Thanks for stopping by.  Happy T Day!

T Stands For March Madness!

Psalms 37:4-5 "Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.  Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."

I am madly scrapping for March Madness Virtual Scrapbook Night (for the whole month) and for Calvin Ball 2019!  We have challenges every day on the last one!  So far am keeping up, with at least one layout a day since March 1st!  I will show you my latest that I just did today.  There are certain things to use on both the above challenges for points.  These are items such as die cuts, stamps, a certain color, stickers, assorted embellishments, and the list goes on and on.  Both challenges inspire you to  not only get some photos scrapped but to use some of your stash!

I will just show you two pages that I did today.  I am trying to scrap some old photos that have set in the little white photo boxes too long!

And here is my post for the  T Gang over at Bleubeard & Elizabeth's Altered Book Lover celebrating  T Stands For Tuesday

Dessert one night on our cruise!

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a great week!

WOYWW 356 & VSN & VSBN

Hebrews 11:1  "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

Good evening!  Talk about getting here late!  I haven't even been to the Blog party since February!  I just get so busy, I don't take time to come.  Most of this  month I was busy making cards for Splitcoast Stampers Virtual Stamp Night Challenges as one of the hostesses.  Also I was busy scrapping pages for the challenges for Virtual Srapbook Night.  I made 17 cards and scrapped 13 pages this month.  I still didn't accomplish all my goals!

Here is what my desk looks like  during time of creating! As you can see, I use all my space including the floor! :)

So now, I am going to go look at the rest of the desks.  They can be found here: Stamping Ground.
Thanks for stopping by! :)

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 285 & Enamel Dots

Good morning WOYWW Deskers!   And good morning to the rest of you, too!  In retirement, my mornings begin later and later!  It has snowed here and has remained on the ground  for 4 days so far, and my Dear Husband and I are already suffering from cabin fever!  What will it be like in the dead of Winter?!  So, I went over and took a photo of my work desk for today's desk hop sponsored by Julia at Stamping Ground.  Check over there for all the details.  I have begun work on my gift calendars, well at least cutting them out.  Thanks to a dear Splitcoast friend, we will have them again this year!  Also, I am still working on the Virtual Srapbook Night Challenges which last the whole month on November on Splitcoast Stamper.  But, now will get this post up, and then go to the Mall to walk to get my 10,000 steps (at least).  These last four days I have made paths in my house from indoor walking! LOL
This past week-end I went to a wonderful Ladies Bible Conference with Susan Heck as a speaker.  She is a wonderful inspiring speaker and spoke on Bible Memorization and the Titus 2 woman, dicipleship.  I came away with a new attitude to memorizing scripture, by the book.  I am beginning with Titus.  That is a small book. :)  Ask me about it from time to time and hold me accountable!!!!

I have included some scrapbook pages I finished this last week.  I will come by and see you when I get back from my walking. Did you notice up in the right hand corner, that I am walking the Pacific Crest Trail, virtually?  Thank you for stopping by!  Oh, I almost forgot, several have emailed me and asked  for the Homemade Enamel Dots directions. Here it is: Enamel Dots Tutorial

What are those stickers on my Ott Lite organizer??? LOL
