T Stands for Time for Spring!

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart:

try me, and know my thoughts:
24 And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalms 139:23-24

Yes, it is time for Spring!  Tomorrow, we begin our new Spring Bible Study and I have made some bookmarks for it.  Almost!  I still have most of the ribbons to attach, yet.  This is also for our SplitcoastStampers Divine Bible Challenge and for Calvinball at Scrap Happy.

I used a SU! punch to punch 24 white 2"x5 1/2"strips, then 8 each of Celery Green, Almost Amethyst and Pink Passion.  I put the Bible verse stamp in the MISTI stamping platform and stamped all the white ones.  Next, I put the prayer quote stamp in the MISTI and stamped all the colored ones.  The MISTI makes it easy to do assembly line projects.  I stamped leaves on all the white, & the butterflies, and inked the edges of the white.

Next is attaching the ribbon with a staple, and then tying the bakers twine around the ribbon.  I also handwrote the date & event information. Some of them are done as shown below.  I think I will be doing ribbon for a while longer tonight!  Below showing both sides of the bookmarks. I tied the white to the colored cardstock with the ribbon.

For Calvinball I racked up 21 points for the project.  I can't multiply x 24 however.  But each one has a stamped image, the date, handwriting, butterfly, green, punch, metal (the staple), ribbon, inked edges, scalloped, twine, tag (tag punch), quote, purple. I got a point for cleaning my desk before I started, and for it being for multiple challenges, and for the faith theme.  Also I get points for sharing on Splitcoast with the hash tags and for writing up a post on my blog.  Again, the points are just for fun! You can check out all the fun at:  http://scraphappy.org/calvinball.

Here is my ticket to the TSFT over at Altered Book Lover hosted by Elizabeth & Bleubeard.  It is a card I made in 2014.  It is long gone, but I still have the photo.  I still like that image, SU!, I think.

Thank you for stopping by.  Happy Spring!  See you next time.

T Stands For Toilet Paper Technique!

"Who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" Esther 4:14   (Week 4 Scripture Memory for Revive Our Hearts Esther Bible study)

Good afternoon blog followers!  Happy Labor Day to those in the USA and in Canada.  It is so quiet around here.  This morning there was no traffic out when I took my walk.  So nice!  Since we are retired, and our family lives far away, we have no special plans.  However, tomorrow, we will celebrate 53 years of marriage!  We have a special walk planned and maybe out to eat. I will share that next week.

I am joining Try It On Tuesday with a couple of projects for their In My Garden Theme.
For this card I began with a gelli print.  I stamped right on it in Memento Tuxedo Black and die cut with Sizzix stamps and dies.

Next I used a scrap of  paper, that I think I had sprayed with Memory Mists for another project.  I thought it looked the color of clay pots, and I wanted to paper piece them on my project.  You can see here where I had already die cut the pots out.

Next I used a new technique for a Alpha Challenge on SCS to use toilet paper or the roll somehow on your project.  I put this toilet paper right on the ink pad to ink it up and then applied it to my card base for a background for my cacti, which by the way were in my rock garden at a previous home.  I thought this added some great texture.

This is the result.  This is my first submission for Try It On Tuesday.  Also, I will submit it for the Technique challenge for our Alpha Challenge, and the Featured Stamper Challenge on SCS.  I cased a lovely card by asweetjewel aka Julie.

Close up to show the little cacti and their pots.

Close up to show the texture and gel pen detail.

I hope the recipient likes her free hugs.  :)

My second project for In My Garden theme  for TIOT is this little bookmark/tag which I am also submitting for our Stamp2Spend Challenge on Splitcoaststampers.

This was an image stamped on one of the tags I did last week with the sanitizer and oxide inks.

I played with some die cuts from SU! Stylish Stems Framelits dies.  I finished with gel pen accents and fiber.

Now for my drink related post for TSFT over at Altered Booklover, where Elizabeth hosts this Tea party!

In July we had a ladies Bible study luncheon.  I just loved their decorations and discovered a new tea and just have to share it with you.  Those little suitcases are so adorable, and everyone had a different teacup!

Downton Abbey Tea!  I didn't know they had such a thing!  But of course it just makes since!
And I loved it.  I guess they have several flavors, too.  This was a Christmas one.  I even love the container! :)

Have a great week.  Happy T Day to the T Gang!  Thank you so much for stopping by.  I love to hear from you, too.

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 326 and Bookmarks

Col. 3:16-17 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God and the Father, by him.

Hi!  Just got back from church where our Encouragement Ministry ladies made over 50 cards!
So, now I am working on bookmarks for our Women's Retreat this month. That is what is on my desk!
I made my own Decorator Paper by  stamping  a background using an older stamp set by SU! Fabulous Fruits, I think.  Then I spritzed with the marker an air tool shown.  I don't know what is called.  I used Old Olive and Elegant Eggplant inks.  Then I used the Su! scalloped tag punch to punch both the stamped paper and the mauve.   I  glued the mauve to the stamped paper together to make two layers.  I also used the corner punch on the bottoms of the book mark.
On the back of the bookmark will be our verse and church name. Added ribbon for a finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy WOYWW!  Don't forget to check out what is on desks all over the world at Julia's Stamping Ground.
