WOYWW 356 & VSN & VSBN

Hebrews 11:1  "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

Good evening!  Talk about getting here late!  I haven't even been to the Blog party since February!  I just get so busy, I don't take time to come.  Most of this  month I was busy making cards for Splitcoast Stampers Virtual Stamp Night Challenges as one of the hostesses.  Also I was busy scrapping pages for the challenges for Virtual Srapbook Night.  I made 17 cards and scrapped 13 pages this month.  I still didn't accomplish all my goals!

Here is what my desk looks like  during time of creating! As you can see, I use all my space including the floor! :)

So now, I am going to go look at the rest of the desks.  They can be found here: Stamping Ground.
Thanks for stopping by! :)

WOYWW #351 & Teapot Tuesday Card

Hebrews 11:1  "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

Good afternoon!  Today is a special day!  But, on to why I am here.  I am showing what is on my desk as part of Julia's Stamping Ground Blog hop!  Last night I had a mess as I was making a "shoe" card for our Tuesday Teapotter Challenge on Splitcoast Stamper.  You see, I had every stamp set out that had a shoe in it.  I think I used at least one stamp out of each set, even one shoe off the shoe cube. I hope the recipient likes this card. It is a side step card.  I thought that would kind of look like a closet with shelves for the shoes. I even included a dress form die cut on here. I also stamped on the back of glitter paper and fussy cut out two of the shoes.

Thanks for stopping by!  Now to go make a call to someone on their special day! :)

WOYWW 350 & 1970's Scrapbooking!

Good afternoon!  I have decided to come to the  Blog party! This is what my desk looks like today!  I have been re-scrapping the 70's!  That's right.  About 20 years ago, they told us those sticky albums were bad for our photos.  So, I took all my photos out of the albums and put them in envelopes to re-scrap.  As you can see,20 years later, and I still haven't scrapped them! I am trying to rectify the problem, though.  I began scrapping correctly in the 90's.  I have had a difficult time just keeping up the albums going forward from the 90's to now, let alone getting the 70's and 80's done! LOL

Thanks for stopping by for a peek.  Hope to come by and see what you are doing.

Don't forget to stop by Stamping Ground to see what WOYWW is all about!

Have a great Week!

WOYWW 346 & Embossing Folder Technique

Hebrews 11:1  "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

Good Afternoon!   Since I skipped last week, I thought I would try to get to the Blog Hop party this week. That is what I call our What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday.  You can read about it on Julia's Stamping Ground, if you don't know what it is.

First, I want to share with you a new Embossing Folder Technique that I am pretty excited about.  Maybe you already know it, but I didn't until this week.  I kept seeing these cards and could't figure out  how they made it look 3-d.  So, I finally took time to read instructions shared by a fellow stamper on Splitcoast Stamper.   1. I inked up the Woodland Embossing Folder from Su! with Soft sky ink.  I put it on with a brayer. The important thing you need to know is you ink up the inside on the side that has the Sizzix on it. (inside the top)    2. I stamped my Lovely as a Tree trees on the same side I brayered.  3. I inserted  cardstock and rolled it through the Big Shot.  It is like magic!  The green trees are behind the trees on your folder.  So cool!  To make the rest of the card, I mounted it on a Mossy Green panel, then on a Soft Sky base.  I stamped the Verve Bible verse on Whisper White, and punched out with a label punch.  I punched a green label and split it and put it under the verse panel.  I stamped the fox and water colored him and  fussy cut him and mounted him; the same with the bird.  This card is for an encouragement card for a dear friend.  It also worked for the following challenges:

Divine Bible Verse Challenge, Stamp 2 Spend Challenge, January Fan Club Forrest Friends Central Theme and Word Theme Challenges,  USEIT2016 Challenge  ( all challenges on Splitcoast Stampers)

This is what my desk looks like right now.  I haven't put things away from making my card.  And I found these hearts and decided to lay them out in case I might want to use them in the next few weeks.  And on top of my marker/pad/refill storage is a orphan stamp.  Don't know what it belongs to, but left it there.  Sooner or later it will become apparent where it belongs.

I better publish this as it is already late afternoon on Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!  Hope to visit you, too.

Happy New Year and WOYWW 344

Happy New Year crafters!  We had a wonderful Christmas and now are looking forward to a great 2016.  While my Grandson was here he helped me change my background photo.  I am so electronically challenged. You know I wouldn't have a Blog if he hadn't helped me do it a couple of years ago.  So, why are we posting today?  We are taking part in the What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday over at Julia's Stamping Ground.  Hop over there if you haven't been yet and check her Blog out and all the other Bloggers linked to her. I have met (virtually) many Bloggers from all over the world, since I begin to take part in the world wide Blog hop.

Ok, down to business:  Here is what my desk looks like this morning, just like I left it last night.  I have been scrapping, taking part in Splitcoast Stampers Virtual Scrapbook Night Challenges this past week-end, and their Christmas Card Challenge.  I did all 6 challenges for VSBN and completed my goal of 4 Christmas cards for January, which included  the insides and envelopes.

So you see I am working on another scrap Layout. Also, while my Granddaughter was here I got my Geli plate out and we played and made lots of pretty backgrounds.  You see all those glues?  When they seem to run out, I still keep them and still get glue out of them for quite a while longer.  I am frugal. :)  I will eventually throw them away.

I said I would show you my gift calendars I made.  Thanks to dear friend Kathy, who prints them off for me, because I can't figure out how to do it or I don't have the right program.  Anyway, she graciously printed off and sent me the months.  I copied and printed off 15 sets to stamp and color.
Some of my friends ask me before end of year to be sure they will still get them.  The first time I give them to someone, I give them with an acrylic frame so they can display one month at a time.

These are two pages I scrapped from our  Canadian East Coast cruise in October for my 70th birthday.

These are cards my crafty friends sent me!  Love everyone of them!
Thank you for stopping by to see what is on my desk.  I look forward to seeing what your are doing!
Happy New  Year!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 341 And VSN Cards

Luke 2: 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them:and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not:for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace,
good will toward men.

Wednesday again!  Time to show you my desk!  We all link to Stamping Ground on Wednesdays and show off our desks.  I have been crafting all week taking part in Virtual Stamp Night challenges on SplitcoastStampers.  I still have three more challenges to do by Saturday night.  Also showing off a Christmas card I got all the way from Spain from fellow blogger Jan S.  Wow!

I am still in thinking stage of next challenge card for VSN.

Isn't that the most adorable mouse?!  And love the goodies!

Here are a few of my VSN Challenge cards., most of these already in the mail!

I am late as usual, but cleaning for Christmas company!  I don't know if I will be posting next week, because I will have a house full of company, and loving every moment of it!  So Merry Christmas everyone!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to stop by and see your space, too.
