Ok, down to business: Here is what my desk looks like this morning, just like I left it last night. I have been scrapping, taking part in Splitcoast Stampers Virtual Scrapbook Night Challenges this past week-end, and their Christmas Card Challenge. I did all 6 challenges for VSBN and completed my goal of 4 Christmas cards for January, which included the insides and envelopes.
So you see I am working on another scrap Layout. Also, while my Granddaughter was here I got my Geli plate out and we played and made lots of pretty backgrounds. You see all those glues? When they seem to run out, I still keep them and still get glue out of them for quite a while longer. I am frugal. :) I will eventually throw them away.
I said I would show you my gift calendars I made. Thanks to dear friend Kathy, who prints them off for me, because I can't figure out how to do it or I don't have the right program. Anyway, she graciously printed off and sent me the months. I copied and printed off 15 sets to stamp and color.
Some of my friends ask me before end of year to be sure they will still get them. The first time I give them to someone, I give them with an acrylic frame so they can display one month at a time.
These are two pages I scrapped from our Canadian East Coast cruise in October for my 70th birthday.
These are cards my crafty friends sent me! Love everyone of them! |
Happy New Year!

Hello Sharon, what a treat to find you too. I did not get to visit everyone last week - I will do better this week I hope. Now about that workdesk, what I would do to have a space like that. But more important, love what you make on it.

Hi Sharon, I love your calendar pages. I'm not surprised your friends ask for them each year and how lovely that your friend helps with the printing. I have to call on my hubby for all the techi help. The Christmas cards from your friends are super. Have a happy 2016 and happy crafty time. Barbxx #28
I'm a bit mean with my glues too, Sharon, have to get the last little bit out of them before admitting defeat. Your calendar pages are lovely and your layouts are beautiful - looks like a sensational way to celebrate turning 70! Super Christmas cards too - reminds me that I have yet to photograph those I received. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #59
Lovely craft cards! I like the calendars. Bet the recipients loved them.

Hello Sharon. What a lovely celebratory post - those pages about your trip are gorgeous - a great way to have a 70th birthday! The cards you have received are beautiful. We have had many handmade cards too, they are all still hanging on the wall - not taken them down yet - been a bit manic here! I like your calendar pages. We also make calendars each year - using our own photos. We tend to buy the blank "book" then choose 12 favourite pictures. We include one of the family which makes it specially personal.
Take care in 2016. God bless.

I love the calendars you made for your friends… what a great idea. I also love the pages you've been working on and reminds me that I need to work on Thanksgiving and Christmas pages in my Smash book. Thanks for your visit and happy WOYWW!
I totally love how you displayed your Christmas cards, I have just taken my down ( from the hall ) and taken them upstairs to shoot them so, I may have to rethink this project since Hubs still has not taken the glass out of the old window I bought to put chicken wire in the panes so, I can hang friends cards on it.. ( someday) :)
I had planned to visit sooner, but shortly after I linked to Julia, my electricity went off. It came back on a short time ago, so now I'm trying to catch up with everyone.
I can see why you asked me why I don't stamp. You are a REAL stamper, and apparently, so are your friends. And I know you need ink, which you have plenty of, but isn't in my budget at the moment. As for glue, I'm with you. I make sure the last is out before I give up the ghost.
Thanks for visiting me while I was offline. Happy WOYWW on Thursday from #1.
May I just say you don't look 70 to me and good on you for having a blog or even work with a computer. Those calendars look lovely. Vicky#9
HI there. Love the calendar and the scrap pages you've been working on. I am late on my WOYWW rounds so only just getting the time now to pop round and have a nosey at everyone's spaces. Yours looks very organised!
Thanks for sharing, and have a good week!

Wonderful post! I love seeing what is on your desk. Your layout is beautiful & I enjoyed seeing all the handmade cards that you received. You have inspired me to get going on Christmas cards for next year.
Wow! You have really been a busy lady! Your cruise layout sure shows how much fun you had. Great that you've gotten started on your Christmas cards already. I have intentions to do some each month. Hope I can follow through on that. Happy New Year to you and yours.
