T Stands for Tuesday

3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; 4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Titus 2:3-5

Hello blog readers!  Happy Tuesday!  I am finally getting back to walking even though it is still getting into the nineties.  I walked 8:30 to 10:00 this morning, and it was warm by the time I got home!  But it does feel good to get back to walking.  I am looking forward to cooler weather, as many of you are.

I can't get my photos from today to upload from my phone so I will share some others.  We did go out to eat this past week, and I did remember to get a photo.  We went to one of our favorite places.  They are senior friendly as they give a 20% senior discount and free pie on Tuesdays, so these are from last Tuesday.  Livingstons Diner has been in business since 1910 and have two locations and we go to the newer location.  I always enjoy their murals painted on the walls.  I have shown them before, so took a different photo this time, plus a view of my favorite right over our booth.

Love this one because it shows an old version of our comics back in the day.

Kind of a funny view as it was right over our heads at our booth, but it is my favorite.

My ticket to the TSFT party.  I got to take half of my Chicken Quesadilla home for another meal.  So good.  I love avocado but left the sour cream.  Hubby had biscuits and gravy.  We also took home our pie.  He got chocolate, and I gave him my peanut butter chocolate cream pie after I took a bite. :)

Be sure and check out TSFT over at Bleubeard & Elizabeth's at Altered Book Lover.

We find many different kinds of replicas of the Keeper of the Plains in our area.

I got my hair cut in July, and these are photos of how my hair stylist decorates her shop on the outside.
I love seeing how she changes everything for the different holidays or seasons.  She decorated very patriotically for July.

Here are photos from a surprise park I found on the way home from our ladies' prayer breakfast Saturday at our church.  I had followed a garage sale sign, because it has been ages since I went to one, however I never found it.  But I found this neat little park complete with this pond, bicycle sculpture, and blue heron!

I actually caught him in flight.  I was trying to get a closer photo of him standing, and of course I startled him into flight.

I have also crafted a bit this week.  On SplitcoastStampers we do a Teapot Challenge every Tuesday, and we make cards and send to someone who needs encouragement.  This week the challenge was also to use splatters or spritzing, or distressing.  I chose to splatter.  This card has already been mailed to our recipient.

I used Altenew layering Daisy stamps, and a very old SU! sentiment stamp.  I splattered with a squeezy art gun thing with the SU! markers that matched the ink I used. (Old Olive, Yoyo Yellow and Tangelo Twist.  I also splattered Fun Stampers Journey Silks on here and then lastly added the Nuvo drops to the centers of the daisies.

Happy T Day, everyone!  Thanks for stopping by to see what I am doing.  I hope to go by and see what you have been doing, also.  I might say that sometimes my comments do not take.  I go back and check, but still don't see them, so leave another.  I hope they are getting through, maybe just because of moderation they take longer.
Thank you.

T Stands for Reveals

3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; 4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Titus 2:3-5 KJV  (these are verses I am currently memorizing or should say re-memorzing, as I already had in the past.)

Good evening readers!  I just read Elizabeth's post and she revealed the napkins she is sending, so I will reveal the ones I am sending.  For those that don’t know about our TSFT parties, this is our ninth year and some of us celebrated by doing a napkin and an ATC swap.

Everyone in the swap will receive two each of these.

I guess, that last week when I didn't post they revealed our ATCs we swapped.

This is the one I swapped.

My first ticket to TSFT

And the one I received from Deb.  Thank you, Deb!  Love this adorable little mouse.

Love those cute bugs! And that mug with the adorable mouse on the ATC is another ticket to TSFT.
And she used an interesting postage stamp, too.

I received this Happy Mail as winnings for all the cards I made for VSN on Splitcoaststampers.  A Starbucks gift card (another ticket to TSFT!) Oh, and there was chocolate, but I ate all of it before the photograph!  Kinders minis, about a half dozen of them.  I inhaled them.

Blogger is not cooperating tonight and won't let me put the photos in the order I want them.
Blogger is jumping all around and I can't even type in the right places.  Ugh!  Above is what I used to make my ATCs.  But, not in the photo are the charms and the letters I used.

I made three.

Short and sweet.  Happy T Day to the T Gang.  Stop over at Altered Book Lover and visit our hosts, Bleubeard & Elizabeth and the other t party participants.
Have a great week!

When we were Young AJJ page

"Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD." Psalms 27:14

I liked this theme and wanted to shar a page I did today.  It will be part of a gift heritage album for my sister.  I don't even think she knows I have a blog so I don't have to worry about her seeing it prematurely.

Chris from Pearshapedcrafting is hosting at Art Journal Journey this month and her theme is When We Were Young. I will share this page with a photo that is almost 100 years old.

love this TH quote and think it is appropriate for this moment that was ordinary in the photo, but now all these years later quite extraordinary.

This is for the Art Journey Journal theme as well as for two challenges on SplitcoastStampers for the MJJ Challenge and the Inspiration Challenges.

Thanks for looking and stopping by.  Be sure and check out the other pages over at Art Journey Journal.  Thank you, Chris for this theme.

T Stands for Surprise!

"Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD." Psalms 27:14

Surprise, I am posting! LOL. Good evening!  It is time for our TSFT party!  I totally missed last week as I had food poisoning and was sick from midnight to 4:00 am Monday morning.  Both my hubby and I were very tired from me being sick all night and not getting any sleep!  The decision was made to skip my blog and just take it easy.  I don't know where I got it or what I ate as no one else had it.  But I know that is what it was because I had it about 30 years ago, same, sick at both ends at the same time!  Sorry, if that was TMI!

Well, all is well now! I have just finished a week of DTGD Challenges!  I always love that time of year as I always am able to get really good cards done.  They are usually my favorites.  Some of them have already been mailed.  Others will be for Christmas, and for occasions as I need them.

Here is a photo of some of them.

Like I said some have been mailed out and I didn't get them in the photo.  Every card is different.  I made a shaker card, tags, sympathy, anniversary, birthday & Christmas cards.  Some were special folds, and some were special techniques.  This is the time of year that I try new things as our hostesses challenge us to do these techniques and folds.  The rest of the year, my recipients' benefit.

I believe if you look hard enough, you will see my ticket to Bleubeard & Elizabeth's Tea Stands for Tuesday party over at Altered Book Lover.  Happy T Day!  Thank you for stopping by!  Have a great week!

T Stands for Bird attack!

" Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance."  Psalms 33:12 KJV

Good evening!  It is currently Monday evening, and I am writing my post for T Stands for Tuesday hosted by Bleubeard & Elizabeth over at Altered book Lover. I do it early because it is already Tuesday for many of our bloggers.  Last week we celebrated 9 years that our wonderful hostess, Elizabeth  has been hostessing. We celebrated by having two swaps, ATC and napkins.  In the next weeks I will show my ATC cards, when my swap person gets hers.  Also, when napkins have all come and been sent out again, I will show these.

Here is my ticket to the T party, then I will tell you about the bird attack. LOL

This is one of my tea pot cards I have made in the past.  I used Tea dies, and the little one is a teapot punch.

About the bird attack.... After coming out of my doctor's this morning, I thought I would go across the street and walk around this peaceful pond that I had noticed other times I was there.  As I started out, I suddenly was hit in the head so hard, it was hard to stay in an upright position.  My first thought was a basketball hitting me or something like that.  I looked up to see a large bird flying away, turn around and come back at me again!  I had to duck.  He was coming on purpose.  I had to duck twice!  It looked like a large white owl.  I can't imagine why.  Anyway, I decided not to walk and went back to my car and left.  I don't know if I am imagining it or not, but I seem to have a headache.  I was so stunned I didn't take any photos.

Have a wonderful T-day to all the T-gang!

Thanks for stopping by~ Stay cool!

T Stands for Scrapbooking

" Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance."  Psalms 33:12 KJV

Hello crafty friends!  I am doing some scrapbooking and am participating in the July Bingo Challenge at Scrap Our Stash Challenge Blog.  I am doing the row that says: Journaling card, color red, ephemera, twine and layers.

Here is my submission:

This is also my ticket for the T party over at Altered Book Lover T Stands for Tuesday or TSFT with Bleubeard & Elizabeth as our hosts. Today it is the 9th anniversary of the party.  So Happy Anniversary, Bleubeard & Elizabeth!  Some of us are celebrating by doing a ATC swap and some of us are also doing a napkin swap.  Be sure and stop over and see what is going on.  Next week, I will share the napkins I sent for the swap.  And when everyone has received their ATCs, I will share them.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great T Tuesday and a crafty week.

T Stands for Thankful for My Country

" Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance."  Psalms 33:12 KJV

Today in the U.S. we are celebrating our 246th year of the publication of our declaration of independence from Great Britain in 1776.  We usually celebrate with family gatherings, and firework displays.  Personally, we have no family near here, so it will be just the two of us, and we will watch firework displays on TV.  Another way we did celebrate was to sing patriotic songs in church this week, and we listened to a wonderful rendition of The Battle Hymn of the Republic by one of our pianists.  I always get teary eyed as soon as I hear the first few notes. Yes, I am thankful for my country.

Here is some 4th of July cards I have created either this year or in the past:

I think this image is from a local stamp store Mrs. O'Leary's aka Artful Illusions.  She makes her own stamps.  I purchased them as just pieces of rubber.

The image is also from Mrs. O'Leary's aka Artful Illusions from years and years ago!

I actually used this for an anniversary card for someone whose anniversary is on the 4th of July!

This past week, I was invited to tea by someone I met on my trail.  She served Indian tea, which I loved!  I have to find out what it was.  It was spicy and strong, just the way I love it!  She served it with biscotti and a confetti Bundt cake, all delicious.  There were three of us and we enjoyed hearing the birds sing and taking a tour of her gardens.  It was a very enjoyable morning chatting and getting to know these ladies.

I hope you enjoyed a little 4th of July with me as well as tea in the lovely setting.

Thank you for stopping by.  Happy T Day, (a little early).
