“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Matthew 6:34
I will try to post a video from my hike at the Junk Journal Retreat, or as we called it, God’s Gathering. I tried last week but couldn’t figure it out. I wanted to share that one thing from my fun time. Because, not only did we craft, but we shared our junk, ate some great meals, and took some day trips, including the hike at Elk City Reservoir, a visit to Little House on the Prairie Museum, and one day to several flea markets!
Okay, finally, after trimming most of the content I got about 30 seconds of it. Apparently, that is all I can load. But, I think this will give you an idea of our hike. We did two, and this one was the easiest. The other was more rocky.
Here are some stills:
This is called The Keyhole, and my photo doesn't do it justice, because looking through the keyhole you are looking down into a gully hole like place. One of the hikers went down a little way into it. Not me!
Me at the overlook.
Another Day we went to see the Little House on the Prairie Museum near our event.

I learned a lot about Laura Ingalls Wilder and her books that I never knew. This was well worth the visit.
I did take a photo of one of the Flea Markets, just because. LOL
I took photos while waiting for everyone else to check out with their purchases.
I had so much fun at The Gathering, (God’ Gathering is what we called it.) I met ladies from all over the country, including Florida, Arizona, Indiana, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri , and of course, Kansas. I made new friends! We enjoyed crafting together. A couple of the ladies led games and challenges and had drawings for prizes. I won my ticket for TSFT party over at Bleubeard’s and Elizabeth’s at Altered Book Lover!
Below is a photo of my messy desk when I was making pockets for my friends at The Gathering. There was a total of 20 of us.

Wow, that looks like a great retreat. I had no idea where Elk City is so I looked it up. Is it Oklahoma? It sounds like you had a lot of fun. And I hope the Force was with you too. Happy T day. hugs-Erika
This looks like a lot of fun! I really managed.. by accident! ... to wear a Star Trek-T-Shirt yesterday! I got greeted properly... Have a happy T-Day!
I never got into "Little House on the Prairie," but it looks like something you enjoyed. I had NO idea it was so close to Independence. Not sure how so many people could live in that small house and ever get any privacy. Guess that's because I was an only child raised by grandparents from birth.
Your hikes must have been enjoyable. I certainly enjoyed the video. It's always fun to share time and crafts with like minded friends. Congrats on winning the mug. It's beautiful.
Thanks for sharing photos of your retreat and the cabin with us, as well as your new mug for T this Tuesday, dear Sharon. BTW, I got your card. Thank you so much.
Forgot to mention that KSN had a "thing" on the Star Wars characters today (the 4th).
No, I don't know that author. But I remember a tv series called Little House on the Prairie (with the late Michael Landon). I assume that was taken from the book?
Sounds like you had a fantastic time at The Gathering.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
That sounds like a fun day. I would like to see the Ingalls cabin.

that sounds like the perfect retreat. Crafting, meeting old and making new friends, food, and down time to see some sights. Happy T Day
Contents of the basket I won will be shown soon.
Looks like you had a lot of fun crafting, hiking, touring, and being with friends!
