Ps. 119:11 "Thy word have I hid in mine heart that I might not sin against thee."
We celebrated my husband's birthday this week! So that will be my ticket to the Tea Party over at Bleubeard & Elizabeth's TSFT!
We visited the new Doo-Dah Diner.
Notice our lemon water. |
We brought home the chicken and extra sausage and gravy! They even brought us complementary monkey bread to eat before our meal; that is the empty bowl. Great celebration meal for hubby! :)
What crafty things have I done this week?
I tried my hand at Bible Art Journaling: Ps. 119:11
Just used stash. |
And I made some simple postal friendly Christmas cards. I bought a package of 3 Tim Holtz dies a couple of years ago, and was disappointed when I brought them home and they didn't cut a solid piece, but a negative. Now, I think I like the negative on these simple cards. I used the dies with SU! Real Red & Whisper White cardstock. The sentiment comes from a SU! stamp set named Contempo Christmas.
I am not good with clean and simple and just had to add three little red sparkle stickers!
It is still Tuesday here, so Happy T Day to the T gang! Thank you everyone who stops by and comments. I really appreciate it!

Gorgeous journaling and Christmas cards. That food looks wonderful, just came back from a loooong evening walk and would love to tuck into a plateful right now! Happy belated birthday to your husband. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
What is monkey bread?
I like the name of the diner. The food looks delicious. Your Bible art journaling looks great, and what a wonderful idea. Your Christmas cards are fantastic. I like the negative cut with the red behind showing through. Happy T-Day!
The meal you had to celebrate your husbands Birthday sounds delicious, although I think I would have to pass the chocolate covered bacon. Happy Birthday to your husband.
The cards you made look fantastic and the die cuts with the red backing look great.
Happy T day wishes Sharon.

The name of the diner made me smile and oh the food looks so delicious! I've never had bacon dipped in chocolate, it sounds delicious and definately worth a try...lol 😉. The chicken looks yummy too, never heard of monkey bread, I'm off to Google it in s minute. What wonderful journaling and I love those TH dies! The red and white is so christmasy too - perfect 😁. Happy T Day! J 😊 x
Oh, that diner food looks like heaven on a plate. Bacon and chocolate, oh my! And monkey bread! You did well with your journaling and your cards are so pretty and elegant. Happy T Day
Monkey bread is a soft, sweet, sticky pastry served in the United States for breakfast or as a treat. It consists of pieces of soft baked dough sprinkled with cinnamon. It is often served at fairs and festivals.
What a fun spot for a celebration! Cute name, and the food looks delicious. I've never tried dies, but I like how your cards turned out. Nice! Happy T Tuesday :)
Your meal sounds delicious but of coarse that chocolate dipped bacon has me drooling! YUM! Sounds like a great way to celebrate the hubby's birthday.
Your cards are elegant and I really like how you described them as postage friendly. That is the key and something that I always fail at. Love your designs.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
Happy Birthday to your husband! The food looks yummy! Your cards are very nicely done!
I like chicken and waffles but I don't know about chocolate covered bacon. How did it taste? And good for you to even think about Christmas cards in May. Of course it is chilly enough here today to feel like we are getting close to the Holiday season, but luckily not. Hope it was a great T day Sharon. Hugs-Erika
That is a great name for a diner and the food certainly looks good. Your cards are lovely. I never think to make Christmas cards until the day before Christmas. You can be my inspiration to get a few made early.
Here I am far behind and I still lost a LONG comment I left. Hit a wrong button and LOST IT ALL. Not fun to retype what I wrote the first time.
I wanted you to know how much I loved your Christmas cards. You and Chris have the most postage friendly cards I know. That's a plus in my opinion.
Your bible journaling is wonderful. I like the embellishing you did, too.
I read the Doo-Dah downtown was closed. Glad to see there's a second one now. They have won so many awards and have been written up in several magazines, I couldn't believe they had closed. So glad you shared your husband's birthday with us at the Doo-Dah Diner. The chicken and waffles look great, and the chocolate bacon even sounds good. Having leftovers is always a plus in my opinion. There is nothing better than monkey bread, either. I think you were wise to have water. You certainly didn't need the extra calories after that meal (grin). Thanks for sharing your cards, your journaling, your husband's birthday meal, and your water with us for T this (STILL) Tuesday. BTW, tell your husband "happy birthday" from me.
Hi Sharon, your cards are lovely, that’s a great idea to use those dues, I did something similar with one I bought ages ago and never used.
Not sure about the chocolate covered bacon!
Have a great week, thanks for your earlier visit.

The Doo-Dah Diner certainly know how to fill you up, although I have no idea what Monkey bread is! Your cards definitely are lovely - glad you got around to trying them! I have been attempting to do some Bible Journaling but I am not very good at it even though I have looked on Pinterest! Belated Happy T Day! Chrisx
