T Stands for Time Goes So Quickly!

15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15-16

Where does the time go!  I had so many plans for today's post, but here it is time again and I don't have any of the things done I had planned. I didn't even post last week, so two weeks of time flew away from me! I have started another Junk Journal Challenge for Dear Julie Julie, but don't really have anything to show for it.  I have just been getting my kit together of junk.  LOL My craft room is a mess because of it!

I will show you a card that I made last week for Challenges on Splitcoast.   The one below was for the SplitcoastStampers Fan Club Christmas Challenge.  I was a guest designer and we were to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) one of the leaders of the forum that was retiring.   We were honoring her in that way.  My card pretty much was the same sketch, just different papers, embossing folder, etc.  Yes, I already have a Christmas card done for 2022!  I used a Fun Stampers Journey Stamp set, "It's Cold outside, and a Cuddlebug Snowflake embossing folder.  I used the following paper & cardstock: Am. Crafts Jack Frost 6x6 paper & Baja Breeze by Stampin' Up, and Recollections 110lb cardstock for the base. I added the Merry Christmas from same stamp set and layered on a punched oval.  I stamped Night of Navy ink and added rhinestone snowflakes stickers by Jolee's

So, at least I am started on Christmas cards for the year.  I was scrambling at the end to get enough cards done, over 60.  I will try to do a few every month and try to use my time wisely. :)

For the tea party TSFT over at Bleubeard & Elizabeth's on Altered Book Lover, I will post a photo of our New Year dinner.

Spaghetti & Italian Sausage sauce & garlic toast & tossed salad, and hot tea for me, water for him.  You can see we are very casual!  Dressing bottles right on the table. LOL

I think everyone that reads my blog already has their gift calendars so I can show the gift calendars I made for family and some friends for 2022.  They display each month in a 3 1/2x5 acrylic frame.

That is for now!  Happy T Day! :)  Thank you for stopping by.

  1. Your spaghetti dinner looks super. Your tablecloth is really pretty. We had Hoppin John, the southern traditional New Year's dish -- but we had never tasted it before. I figure if something brings luck, I will try it!

  2. You asked about Hoppin John. I wrote about lucky new year foods including Hoppin John here:

This year I made a vegan version with mushrooms.

  3. Your calendars are adorable! I love this idea. Good for you to already be started on your Christmas cards. 60 cards! WOW! I can see why you need to already have a plan.

  4. Wow, a great card for 2022 Christmas. Nicely designed and well done, as are your calendar pages.

Your New Year's meal looks a bit like my Christmas meal with the salad dressings sitting out. I agree that having a low key meal is best. LOVE that tablecloth.

This is the first house I ever owned that didn't have a dishwasher, but there was NO place to put even a portable one. I used to love washing dishes, now it's a real chore. I was glad Scott was there on Thanksgiving to put some of the dishes away he also got out, like my glass deviled egg dish with the condiment center. It goes high on one of the top shelves. I'm glad he insisted we didn't get it out at Christmas.

Thanks for sharing your card and your calendar pages with us for T this almost Tuesday, dear Sharon.

  5. Your New Years spaghetti dinner looks yummy. Your table looks so pretty too. And I do love your calendar too. You have some fun stamped images Sharon. I finally cleaned my studio last week-and it needed it. But I also feel cleaning takes up some of my art time too. I hope you have a wonder T day and week ahead with lots of art time and not so much cleaning time. Hugs-Erika

  6. Adorable fox stamp on your card. Fun to see what all everyone has for a New Year's Day meal. Beautiful crocheted table cloth, and you are brave keeping it on the table with dinner. I'll use vintage tablecloths but remove the crocheted topper before any dinner in my house:):)
Wonderful calendar pages and gift, and I'm sure much appreciated by all. Happy T day!

  7. It's a good idea to make a few Christmas cards every month and then have a good amount ready when next Christmas rolls around. It's a beautiful card, I like the fox. The calenday pages are very beautiful as well.

  9. Your meal looks perfect, we are very casual too since it is just the 2 of us-but I do bring out the good dishes.
what a wonderful gift idea for friends-to make calendars for them-I have been making my Christmas cards too for several years now-but it is a bit too early for me-smiles Happy T Kathy

  10. Very sweet work! And I love the colors.
Good meal for the occasion, my family used to make a big fuss, too much work for my Mum.
    Cute calendar!
    Happy T-Day.

  11. That looks like a yummy dinner. White crocheted table cloth with spaghetti sauce? That would be a no no. I always cover table cloths with a transparent plastic cover before meals. (I myself are a very mucky pup).
I went to tidy my craft room from all the christmas stuff and I ended up making 20 cards! So I have my cards ready for next year! I would love to send a lot of cards but can't afford the postage (at the moment 1,75 per card outside Spain and that is likely to go up on the 1st of April, no joke)
Your calendars are cute. What a nice idea.
    Happy T-Day,
    Hugs,
    Lisca

  12. Happy T-day, Sharon. Yummy looking food and drink! We did chicken creole with peas and greens. I think spagetti would have been more popular - lol. Love your Christmas card and all your calendars - a very sweet idea and they can cut off the images when the year is done and make their own cards. Fun!
