"Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honor all the day." Ps. 71:8
Good Afternoon! It is lovely here today; we even had the house opened up. It is a wonderful second day of Summer. Yesterday, and last week with heat indexes sometimes in the hundreds, today is a welcome change! We even got a little rain. I don't think it is going to last long, though.
First today, I will show you some VSN (Virtual Stamp Night) cards I did over the week-end. Our theme this time on Splitoaststampers is Fantasy Worlds. Some of the challenges were: Floral Fantasy, Shimmery Wings, Fantasy Island, Narnia, Futuristic. Here are a few cards I made. A couple have already been sent.
We were challenged to have shimmery wings on our cards, could have been dragonfly, butterfly or I chose Angel wings. I die cut them out of glitter paper. |
This was our floral challenge. I just happened to have this printed paper on my desk, so distressed it and mounted on the Blackberry Bliss and added the punched heart. |
This is a gel print background that I had made with a stencil. I die cut a fairy and wings & the sentiment, then added glitter and gold thread. |
Our fantasy island card. The background was done to be like Faux Tearing technique. I tore paper and then sponged over it to make the scene. Makes a flatter card to mail. |
Secondly, I have to post this for our hostess Elizabeth of our TSFT over at Altered Book Lover. I got lost again, like when I found the pianos, but this time I found a little memorial garden. It is in front of the Bob Dole VA Hospital. I was looking for the Tag office. LOL I find the most fun things when I get lost. I am just like my mom. We all used to love going somewhere with her, because we always got to go somewhere other than where we were supposed to be going. LOL Here are photos of the memorial garden. It was difficult to get photos without people in them.

That peace garden is really very nice. I love the idea of all the painted rocks. And getting lost can always be exciting, but nice to find new things. And your cards are great Sharon. I do like the laptop coffee cup lady image. What a great stamp. She has the best expression. Hope you have a super T day and a wonderful week Sharon. Hugs-Erika
wonderful cards! That memorial garden is just beautiful-love all the painted stones around the tree. happy T day!
Yes, I saw the reference to a drink. VERY clever. Your cards are wonderful. I love them all. We are going to have to talk about die cuts, because I am totally confused. You make them look easy and so well created, too.
Wow, you really DID get lost, didn't you. Isn't that on Kellogg? It's a beautiful garden, though. Thanks so much for sharing your cards and your trip to the Bob Dole garden with us for T this almost Tuesday, dear friend.
Your cards are always beautiful, love them all. That's a nice memorial garden, too. I often end up some place where I wasn't intending to go, but hey, surprises are good. Happy T Day, Valerie
We had a phone that stood "in place". You had to dial each number... you know... ;-)
Sparkles and toes in the sand, awww. when can we travel again?
Our kindy around the corner collects rocks, too - sooo nice!
Happy T-Day to you.
What a lovely little garden. Was it in memory of one person? Or for the fallen?. I'm just curious.
Yes, I spotted the mug in the lady's hand on the card. You always make such great cards. And you also have such a lot of sentiment stamps.
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
Hi Sharon, You have been a very busy girl, love all the cards you've made.
The gardens looks lovely to walk around, just after our lockdown when we were allowed to walk we kept seeing stones on the benches, now I know why they were there!
Happy T Day, hope DH is continuing his recovery, take care

Happy T-Day sweet Sharon. I love your VSN cards - I wish I could have participated as the theme is one I would enjoy but I was out of town. Love your coffee (or tea) holding girl with laptop card the most - yes, we would have been amazed at her when we were younger and she would have seemed like something on the Jetsons for sure. Your garden discovery looks super fun - I love finding unexpected things and seem to get lost much easier these days too. Hugz
Beautiful little garden. Loving all the pretty flowers and rocks.
Your cards are lovely. I think my favorite is the catch up one.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate

Enjoyed your cards. My favorite is the Synpathy card because I think it is difficult to get that emotion just right - and you did. THe garden was a nice surprise find.
Sharon you are so good to find time to do all of the cards for VSN as well as look after your DH. Great cards. Glad he is doing well. I love your photos and especially the photo of the rocks. So cool. Have a wonderful day and week. Hugs from Oz jx
Hey there, Sharon. I really like your VSN cards. I guess another one has slipped right by me. I have been so busy with Mom, that I have neglected SCS, and I'm saddened that I missed VSN. Anyway, your cards are amazing as always, and the garden is adorable. I love to end up in the unexpected places. Explore is great! Thanks for sharing!
Love your beautiful cards, always! Your rock pictures are great- love the gardens they are located in.
