T Stands for The New Year

Ps. 100:1  "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands."

Happy New Year!

I have been doing several new things in the new year.  One, is taking a free online class from Kit and Clouder, which also came with a free digital of this cute little deer.  The lessons show different blending techniques with either pencils or markers.  I followed the one for pencils.  Here is my first try.  I made a card out of it.

I am showing how we did it in steps.

I hope to get better.  I am already taking another class from her, too.  I would be interested to know if any of my readers have ever taken her classes.  Some of them are paid classes, but she has several free ones.  I really enjoy them.

And below are the gift calendars I stamped for 2021.   I try to not make them too flowery as I give them to some guys, like our son and grandson.  :)

And the squirrel is holding my ticket to the tea party over at Bleuberd's and Elizabeth's this week.
She hosts our T Stands For Tuesday at Altered Book Lover every
week.  Come join us and share a drink related post in your post.

Thank you for stopping by!  Happy T Day!  I hope you have a great week!

  1. Lovely coloring. Do you have a blender pencil for colored pencils? They make such a difference and are a big help with blending lines of colors.
Wonderful calendar pages and images. Happy T day!

  2. Love the coloring on the squirrel. So pretty! What a great idea to make gift calendars. I am guessing they are on a small scale? Very nice.
    Happy Tea Day,

  5. Hand-made personal calendars are wonderful. I really like the. ones you did. We don’t do artwork, but gift photo calendars to our family, with our own photos (printed by Costco). Have a wonderful safe and healthy New Year in 2021 — and may it be much better than 2020 for the whole world!

  7. I felt bad that you didn't join us for T last week when I shared the lovely card you made for me, as well as the die cuts. I was so grateful, too.

I did an internet search for Kit and Clouder and found their web site. I have no Copics or any colored pens, just pencils. You created a lovely deer and I am really quite impressed, especially for the first time doing that. Great blending.

I'm JEALOUS. Where did you get that Route 66 stamp? I really, really, really want one. When I lived in MO, my house was on the OLD Route 66. If a person drove Route 66 in the 40s through the 70s, they would have driven by my house there. The connection is more than just superficial. Sadly, I didn't own the property until after the highway (Route 66) had been redirected to the interstate.

Wonderful art and stamping this week, dear friend. Also LOVED the drink holding squirrel you shared with us for T this Tuesday.

  8. Lovely pencil blending, Sharon. No, I've never taken her classes. There are so many excellent and exciting teachers out there. I don't know how I would have gotten through 2020 without them.

    I love your stamped calendars!!!

Wishing you the best in 2021 and a Happy T-day today! Hugs, Eileen
