WOYWW #224

Welcome to What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday! You all thought I had a such a neat work area last week.  Now I will show you what it really looks like when I am working on something. Not so neat, is it?  I have a habit of starting to stack things.. Then, I usually have a catastrophe, like good paper ending up in an ink pad or something like that. :)  I have been scrapping this week.  When I scrap, things begin to overflow, as I don't get things put up as you go.  My husband likes that rule. :)  If you look close, you can see the die cut butterflies a really nice  blogger friend sent me. :)  Also, a box of die cuts that I cut at my GF's house last Friday with her dies.  See, I don't have to buy everything, if she buys some!  Then I use hers! :)

Put away as you go?

I love that my DH has fixed me up 13 feet of work space, but that is more for me to fill up! :)  And see my neat Sticker Clipper?  That was a find for under $5.00.  It had 30 hangers on it and I have them all filled up.  What is it with crafters and organizer items? :)
Well have a great WOYWW!

Thank you for stopping by, and even more for your comments!  I look forward to reading them and getting to know my fellow Bloggers!

Hi Sharon! LOVE your work space! 13 feet of work space...I am drooling lol! I need to learn that lesson of put away as you go, but I end up with a big pile and mess until I finish what I am working on and of course it eats into my work space...so I should put away :-)!! Thanks for showing your wonderful craft area and also for popping over to my blog and saying hi. Happy WOYWW.

Ha! Extra workspace just means more room to put stuff! At least, that's what it means in my house...that applies to my husband and boys as well. Though I do try to keep my desk clear as I cut out a lot of fabric, but my yarn basket is a different story!

Hi Sharon
it looks like you have a system in place that is working for you and what a lovely long working space I think we should all pop over for a play.
Your page layout is looking good

Oh yeah! The more space you have the more you fill it up. Funny how that is... and what's with the pick it up as you go rule? That's just insanity right there. I pile more than I stack and then I set things on various piles next to my desk. And then the cat knocks them over.

I have to ask, the top photo the "magazine" rack with the drawers that your Copic markers are in... Who makes that? If you say Recollections I'm gonna get frosty as the lady at Michael's insisted Recollections didn't make such an animal.

Thanks for the visit earlier today. I love my rolltop desk and its cubbies although I pile stuff along the sides that the little drawers aren't that accessible. This is my 2nd rolltop desk. I wore the first one out. My first one was smaller. My friend's hubby has a HUGE old monster one. Whenever I visit her house and am getting ready to leave she asks if I made sure I didn't leave anything. I always point out the desk and ask her to help me put "my" desk in my truck.

Vertically or horizontal storage doesn't impact the Copic. They have an airtight seal and can be stored horizontal or vertical. That is what I have been told. Hope that is right! :) Thank you again for my beautiful butterflies!

Hey, I have that box you have your copics in! It's hard to out things away as you go.

Wow - 13 feet of work space - that is awesome! I know what you mean about stacking - that happens to me when I'm working on a project, too. April #115

I would love to put away as I go, but if I am on a roll... who wants to stop to clean up. I do always totally clean up my workdesk after a project. Otherwise, there would be no where to work. Kim #43

Hey There! Thanks so much for your nice comment and your congrats. It was so appreciated. I had to come by to see you. I looked through several of your posts and you are very talented. I really like your style. And your work space looks like the 99% of us if we are honest. You know what they say. . ."A messy desk is a sign of a creative mind." And that's what we are right? Thanks again and have a great weekend. Best, Curt

Wow I love what your husband has done and the layout your working on is fabulous. I know what you mean I spend all my time stacking on top of each other and ending up working in a small space then end up with with ruining things lol. Happy Woyww :-) Kezzy xxx
