T Stands For March Madness!

Psalms 37:4-5 "Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.  Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."

I am madly scrapping for March Madness Virtual Scrapbook Night (for the whole month) and for Calvin Ball 2019!  We have challenges every day on the last one!  So far am keeping up, with at least one layout a day since March 1st!  I will show you my latest that I just did today.  There are certain things to use on both the above challenges for points.  These are items such as die cuts, stamps, a certain color, stickers, assorted embellishments, and the list goes on and on.  Both challenges inspire you to  not only get some photos scrapped but to use some of your stash!

I will just show you two pages that I did today.  I am trying to scrap some old photos that have set in the little white photo boxes too long!

And here is my post for the  T Gang over at Bleubeard & Elizabeth's Altered Book Lover celebrating  T Stands For Tuesday

Dessert one night on our cruise!

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a great week!

T Stands For Tea At Sea

Psalms 37:4-5 "Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.  Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."

Greetings to those out in Blogland!  It is that time again when the T Gang link up over at Bleubeard & Elizabeth's Altered Book Lover for T Stands For Tuesday!  Besides sharing a drink, we share photos and artwork.  So come a long and join us!  Just click on the link above and you will see Elizabeth's post and links to all the T Gang.  You could joins us, too, if you want!  Just be sure you share a drink related item in your post.

My husband always does Valentine's Day in a big way because he proposed to me on Valentine's Day.  He usually plans something really special, this year, it was the Hawaiian Cruise.  He proposed 53 years ago, and we will celebrate 53 years of marriage in September.  Yep, I do think he is a keeper!
We were on the ship at sea on Valentine's Day.  This is our dessert, and all the ladies got a special one.

Tea at Sea

This cake was outside the Dining room as we entered.

The celebration as hundreds of us re-did our wedding vows in celebration of Valentine's Day.  The captain officiated.  Valentine's Day was really special on this cruise!
The above card I took on the cruise to give to my husband.   I can't remember if I made it or not.  It was in my stash of cards and might have come to me in a swap!  Sorry, that if someone else made it and I can't remember who!

Thank you for stopping by and for all your comments and input.  Happy T Day!

T Stands For Cruising!

Psalms 37:4-5 "Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.  Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."

Hello blog followers and T Gang!  I have been gone for a couple of weeks.  I did think I was pretty smart and scheduled one post for while I was "at sea", but then could not link it to the T Party or Tag Tuesday, and of course could not comment from my iPad!  I don't know why, but I can comment from my iPad on Altered Book Lover.  So, thank you to Elizabeth who linked my blog post to T Stands For Tuesday.  I tried to comment on Tag Tuesday, but couldn't.  It was really frustrating. You know, I used to be able to do a post to my blog from my iPad and can't do that now.  I think this is all to do with Blogger!  Today when I got on, I had a message that beginning in March, there will be a lot more changes.  I may not be blogging anymore!  I like blogger because it is free.

Ok, enough whining!  I had a wonderful 15 day Hawaiian cruise! I won't share it all in one post! But here is a photo of some of the wonderful  memorabilia I brought home.  It will used it in my scrapbooking!  I even attended crafting classes on board!

Sharing the menu from the night we left Maui.

Our view from our dinner table that night.  We had just left Maui, where we had seen whales all day.  We even saw several real close to the ship from our window while we ate!  What a show they put on!

And for Elizabeth's T Stands For Tuesday, here is a photo of our water at our meal. First  I had the Black Tiger Prawn!  Then I had this scrumptious Shrimp Bisque, before my wonderful Maaine Lobster Tail main dish.  Hubby had the steak. Then we both had the Fudge Obsession!  After two weeks on this floating city, with so many wonderful food choices, we will have to eat less for a while!

Happy T Day!  More Cruise and food photos next week!  Thanks for stopping by!

T Stands for Tuesday, Teapot & Tag

Psalms 37:4-5 "Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.  Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."

Welcome to my blog!  I have a couple of items to show you today as I join Elizabeth over at Altered Book Lover  for T Stands For Tuesday and Tag Tuesday.

First for Elizabeth here is another one of my teapots:

This was among one of the first I ever was gifted.  It was given me the Christmas before our first grandson was born to commemorate the event and also because Noah's Ark was the theme of his nursery even though this was for me!   Our dear grandson is now 22!  Wow!  I took a photo of it with all the stuffed animals as I thought that was appropriate.

For Tag Tuesday, where Michele has challenged us to use hearts as the theme,  I made this tag.  Again, I use my tags and whenever I scrap this years Valentine photos, this will probably be on the layout, so you might see it again!

I didn't have a heart stencil, so made one!  I used acrylic paint, bronze Fun Farmers Journey Silks to flick, and stickers, rhinestones, and Tim Holtz Small Talk stickers, and lace.

Thank you for visiting!  A message to the Tea Gang:  Happy Tea Day!  I may be really late to visit you!

T Stands For Teacups

Psalms 37:4-5 "Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.  Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."

I am so excited because I think my scheduled post is going to work thanks to fellow T Gang members!  Whahoo!  Now, if I could just figure out why I can't post comments on your blogs from my iPad! LOL  Always something!  I am high maintenance!

Without further ado, here is my drink related post for our T Stands for Tuesday over at Bleubeard and Elizabeth's Altered Book Lover, where we join in on Tuesdays and  post something that is drink related.  Here is a photo of the few cups I kept from mine and my mother's tea cup collection.  If you remember I gave most away when we moved and supposedly down sized.]
Here is that post if you missed it or just want to see all the cups I gave away: T for Tags,Teacups and Teal.

I did several layouts this week towards my 100 pages for 2019.   I decided to document a special even  in 2018.

On this page I used a lot of stash of scraps of paper.  The panel in back of the photo is recycled from a thank you note I received, and the one leaf is die cut from a tea box (Aldi's peppermint tea)  I also made use of the emblem that had come off the car, and I only recently found it in a drawer.

I continued to use scraps  on this page and also a few buttons from my collection of hundreds!  Even used some washi tape from my stash!  The base on both pages is We R Memory Keepers.  I have had a whole pack of this paper for ages that I had picked up at Tuesday mornings.  About time I used some of it!
Both the above pages used a "shelf technique" that I learned from Debbie Hodge.

I apologize for being late to visit the T Gang, but evidently can't post comments from my iPad, so have to wait until I can get on my laptop which is not as convenient. I hope you all had a great week!  Thanks for stopping by.  Waving to the T Gang!

T Stands For Tag Tuesday

2 Co 5:17 "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:  old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

Hi everyone!  I am trying again to schedule a post.  I scheduled it, saved it and hit done.  It shows it is scheduled.  We will see!  Big smile.  Well, it didn't post, I had to publish it!

Today I am submitting a tag for Tag Tuesday and the theme is Mail, or postmarks or postage stamps.
Here is mine:

The title is computer generated on white cardstock, then I applied Antique Linen Distress Ink with a blender sponge.  I stamped with the postage from SU! Postage Due stamp set with Saffron & Sandalwood acid free dye ink.  I then flicked Gold silk from Fun Stampers Journey on the whole thing and then sprayed with  Bright Gold Memories Mists.  IRL, it really glimmers but don't know if you can catch that in the photo!  I put this on a Sage Shadow cardstock that I had embossed with a Tim Holtz embossing folder, and also applied the inks to it. I guess I should say I did all the flicks and sprays after I put the two together.  I punched a hole and put the green cord on it.

I am not one just to make a tag for sake of making a tag.  I decided to make this the title for my scrapbook layout I was working on.  That is why I used the postage stamp with a car on it, kind of goes with my page. :)  Thanks to Sandie for the challenge and inspiration!

If you can't read the journaling, it is the following:

At a garage sale I found this beautiful shelf for only $5.00, perfect for storage of my DVD cases of stamps. We tried to put it in the trunk, but it wouldn’t fit. We tried getting it in the backseat. They told me to move the front seat up as far as it would go, which I did. It wasn’t going in, so a young man offered to take it in his pick up. Just as I said yes, someone said it is in! Great! I thanked everyone, and drove home with my great $5.00 purchase! At home, I could not get it out by myself. Larry and I tried, but he said it is not coming out of there!

My friend Kelly, who was coming that week, said she could get it out as she was good with those kinds of things. When Kelly came we tried again. She agreed that thing was not coming out of there. What everyone couldn’t believe, was if it went in, it should come out! Not so. After driving around for a couple of weeks with it in my backseat, Larry took pity on me and said we would take it apart to get it out. That shelf was so well made and gorgeous wood, didn’t have a nail in it. It was groove and tongue. Larry finally had to just tear it up to get it out! We just threw it a way! What a shame! But it was only $5.00!

I absolutely had to make a page about this adventure!

This was our Thanksgiving dinner for just the two of us. I take all these food photo now for Elizabeth, and sometimes forget to use them.  This is why this one is late!  We had the works, dressing, sweet and mashed potatoes, croissant rolls, turkey, green bean casserole, corn, and I am sure salad of some kind, but not pictured.  And I had my hot tea!  Even though it is just two of us a lot of the time, we still do the whole shebang!

Happy Tea Day, everyone, and happy crafting!
Thank you for stopping by!  I love reading what everyone has to say!

T Stands for Trying to Start off the New Year Right!

2 Co 5:17 "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:  old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

Hello, T Gang and other faithful followers!  I have been communicating with our wonderful hostess Elizabeth and she is trying to help me get my Blog up to speed!  I now have the T Stands for Tuesday logo & link on my sidebar.  Also, I am trying a "scheduled post".  We will see if it works!

While I am thinking about it, I want to thank Elizabeth and the T Gang for all the inspiration to craft, and to Blog this past year.  It is the most posts I have ever posted in a year since I started my Blog in 2013.  I posted 47 times in 2018!  That is almost once a week!  The closest I ever came to that was 38 times in 2016.  I already missed last week, so will have to make up for that in the future!

I haven't been crafting much, but will share a card I made for several challenges on SplitcoastStampers this week:

This card was inspired by a fellow SplitcoastStamper  as we were to make a card inspired by her for the Featured Stamper challenge.  They link us to her gallery to choose a card and copy it, but with changes.  The second challenge this is for is the Try A New Technique Challenge; this time to make a monochromatic card.  Use the same color ink and cardstock with one or two neutrals.  I used SU! Baja Breeze cardstock & ink, and white and black for my neutrals.  I used Sizzix stitched ovals dies and rhinestones on my birds.  I used Natural Beauty stamp set from SU! (2007) I stamped the white panel with one of the word stamps in the set, about 4 times with my MISTI and then sponged the panel, also.  The birds are stamped and sponged.   I fussy cut the birds. I also used Wink of Stella glitter brush on the flowers & buds.  The "thinking of you " was from another SU! stamp set Friend to Friend 2004.  The third challenge is for the Alpha Challenge.  Our letter was B and this round is to use natural. images.  Also, the double challenge was buds.  The name of my card was B For Buds & Birds.  The fourth challenge was to use an ignored stamp set or new stamp set never used.  I used the Natural Beauty for first time in ages.  I could do that challenge for years!  I have hundreds of stamp sets, and they probably all feel ignored, as I use mostly my favorite ones, or newest ones.  I think that is all the challenges!

Now for the drink related part of my post for T Stands For Tuesday.  For those that don't know we link up with our hostess over at Altered Book Lover and somewhere is our post feature a drink.

I forgot to take photo till after I had boxed my leftover up.  But it was a great sandwich with cream cheese and roast beef on a great hoagie!  That bread was  toasted but soft and thin.  Loved it!  Oh, so good.  Hubby had a reuben sandwich, which he said was delicious.  I had a side of potato salad and he had pasta salad.  We both had our waters.  I don't know if you can tell but at this sandwich bar they had the menus under glass on the table on each side, so we both could see the menu seated across from each other.  What a cool idea.

I thought this fabric picture was interesting, but should have took a photo of the count down clock.

This is called the Artichoke and they are big on St Patrick's Day.  On the inside they have a count down to St. Patrick's Day to the seconds!  On the outside they have this Blarney Stone replica.

They do have fabulous sandwiches, and since we had gone down town to our library to a Senior Wednesday to see a Mark Twain portrayer, we stopped in for some.  My photos of Mark Twain didn't turn out, but he was good and told a lot of funny stories.

Thank you for stopping by to see me today,  We will see if this posts as scheduled.  :)  And then see if I remember to link it to Elizabeth's T Stands For Tuesday!
Happy T Day!
