T Stands for Trouble

Overcome Power of Fear study: Mathew 10:31 "Fear ye not therefore, ya are of more value than many sparrows."

T does stand for trouble today, internet trouble.  Recently my laptop doesn't always let me online.  All other devices in our home have no trouble getting online, so our wireless is fine.  But several times a day my laptop tells me it can't connect.  I restart and  stand on my head, not really.  But I feel like I am trying all kinds of things, you know the drill , running the task manager, etc.  Then, I come in here right before bed, and now I can get online!  Go figure.  This is a great case for scheduling my blog ahead of time, but I am not much good at doing things ahead of time!

I have been junk journaling again.  I made tags for a mini challenge in our challenge for Dear Julie Julie September Stashbuster Junk Journal Challenge.

The finished products, bases with 6 added items.

I began with 6 patchwork shapes I had made previously for my bases.  I added quotes from old grandmother calendar, torn music page, photo stickers, lace from scrap, fiber, and eyelets.  We are busting our stash and I was glad to use 5 eyelets from my stash of hundreds! LOL

Close up of finished tags.  I love those little photo stickers.  I have a couple of sheets of these that I purchased years ago at a garage sale.  Using stash!

I thought those calendar quotes went well with these adorable children.

I might use these in future junk journals, or on cards or a scrapbook page.

Now for my ticket to Elizabeth's TSFT party over at Altered Book Lover.  I just have to have a drink related part to my post.  I remembered to take photos when we went out to eat this week.  It is a Home Grown local restaurant with comfort food for sure, just breakfasts and lunches, which is great for us.
We both had sausage, not just any sausage, but Yoder sausage, from a nearby Amish community. It all was delicious!  The food, service and décor were all great.  Just a little noisy, but we were in a kind of side, so not so noisy where we were.

My husband had the sausage & gravy & biscuits, and I had the sausage 2 eggs over easy with French toast and strawberries.  Of course, a sign of the times, you see my mask on the table.

This photo is for Elizabeth; it was on the wall right beside me.

Loved this artwork on the wall I faced while eating.  Sunflowers again!  I am sunflower crazy all of a sudden.  I guess I always knew  I loved sunflowers.

Actually the name of the restaurant, on the wall by our table.  Looks like grass in the letters.

I did want to share some photos of my walks this week, but it is late, so I will just share the one from this morning of the double rainbow.

Happy T Day to all the T Gang.  Have a great week!

Hi Sharon, love all the tags and they have lovely sentiments on them. Great food but always surprises me that they serve sweet food with eggs etc, not something they do in England although I love it.
I’m hoping to finish my post after our walk, it’s pouring with rain so I don’t think we will be walking for too long.
Happy T Day

So glad you were able to get online before bed. I can see you using some of those tags in your scrapbook you are making for your sister. I love those die cuts. They are great.

Your meal looks good, but your husband's looks better. Your eggs were far too done for my taste. I like the carafe the water came in and I loved seeing the rosemary watercolor. Sp glad you enjoyed the meal.

Did it rain where you were? Here I saw lightening in the distance, but we didn't get any rain, That's a lovely double rainbow.

Thanks for sharing your junk journal tags, your meal at Home Grown Restaurant, the decor, your water, and the sunflowers with us for T this Tuesday, dear friend.

That sausage looks especially tasty :) Lunch is my favorite meal to eat out, and I'm sure this restaurant would become a favorite if I lived close to it. We try to patronize the locally-owned eating places.

Happy T Tuesday!

Your tags are lovely. I grew up in Indiana, and the family farm was amongst the Amish-and not to far from shipshewana, Indiana They had the best diner-all homemade foods. we would go there for special events.
Happy T wishes Kathy

The tags are so lovely. I can't help but think they would look pretty as gift package tags. I love going out for breakfast especially at the homey places. Your breakfast looks awesome. That double rainbow is so cool. I've only seen double rainbow in pictures. Happy T Day

Going out for breakfast or lunch is much better than dinner. Cheaper, and (at least I think) a better food selection. Your sausage and eggs looks yummy! And nice tags too Sharon. They are really nice collaging. I hope your T day is going well. Hugs-Erika

Loving the junk journal tags. What a great idea to use scraps!
Sorry to hear about the internet trouble. It happens to all of us and usually at the most inconvenient time, right? I am not very good at scheduling posts ahead of time either. Too many other things to do.
Your meal looks delicious! I would eat sausage all day if my tummy liked it. I have never heard of this kind of sausage but will have to look it up.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate

Sharon, your junk journal tags are super fun and so lucky you could use scraps and saved items too. Love the sayings!

I have similar issues with my internet on on this computer (not my work one) and my printer. I just keep trying things until something works....frustrating but so far it eventually works.

Great looking breakfast and the wall decor is all fun.

Lucky you seeing a double rainbow - I think I have seen less than 10 in my life.

Happy T-day and many hugz.

Oh what beautiful rainbows!
And your lunch looks really yummy. The sausages look really different to ours. What you had on your plate I would call a meat pattie (sort of a flat meatball). Our sausages are long and thin with skin around it (gut really).
How eggs are done is totally personal taste. (Yours would not be my taste, too overcooked for me) My husband knows all the American expressions on how eggs are done. He used to work for the British armed forces in Germany and every once in a while he would volunteer for driver's duty for the Americans. The perk was that he would get a meal in the American mess hall and the food was so much better than what the British got. (he says). So he knows his eggs!
How frustrating about your laptop not wanting to connect. My desktop is really playing up and I must get something else. But at least it works. My husband's laptop is completely knackered, so he has to get something first. I'm getting him a Macbook. That cost quite a bit, so mine will have to wait...
I'm sorry to be late again, but as I've mentioned before, we are not home on a Tuesday and I can't get to my computer.
Happy belated T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca

Thank you for sharing, Sharon. Your entries are always so beautiful and interesting. I enjoy reading through them and admiring your talent. Eyelets! I too have a huge stock. It seems that every time I decide to use one or two, I have to really think and try to remember how to use the eyelet tools and put it in place correctly. I'm glad I still have my mat and the things necessary to use them. I love all of the things you shared today. Stay healthy, and I look forward to next week!
