T Stands For Thanksgiving For The Seasons

Hebrews 13:15  "By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name."

Here we are already celebrating T Stands For Tuesday!  I have decided that T will stand for Thanksgiving the whole month of November instead of just that week.  In fact like our November Bible verse says, we are to be continually giving thanks!  I am so thankful for God's wonderful world.  This past week I have enjoyed the changing of his seasons.  Where we live in a fairly new addition,  there aren't a lot of trees like where we formerly lived.  So, I am sharing with you today the view out my window. This was before the wind blew all the leaves off the tree.

For What's On Your Work Desk? Wednesday I show my desk below!  This is my computer desk, but I do a lot of work here, when I am not turned around at my craft desk. When my stamping buddie comes over , I pack away my laptop and she sits here and crafts.  Check out the other deskers over at Stamping Ground, where Julia hosts this occasion.

N
ow all those leaves are on the lawn! But it was pretty. I enjoyed my view while it lasted!  But here is a photo of what the trees looked like in November where we formerly lived.  One of the reasons we downsized!  We love trees, but with the upkeep, trimming, leaves, disease, etc., it just became too much for us.

We took a day trip this past week-end and I will share my two photos with you!  I am so bad about remembering to take photos, yet I go to scrapbook them, I have way too many!

It turned out to be a glorious day Saturday!  We drove to Quivira Wildlife preserve. We saw birds, ducks, gulls, and even hiked a trail.  See that little hut out there, we walked down to that. Then we drove all through the area.  Just gorgeous.

On the way home we stopped here for lunch.  And no photos!  They have wonderful comfort food!  We brought home their gigantic cinnamon rolls!  We warmed those up for Sunday's breakfast.  So, for Elizabeth at Altered Book Lover for T Stands For Tuesday, where we share drink related posts, I took a photo of our Sunday breakfast!

This is a luncheon size, not pie, plate.  The two rolls were over a half pound each, because the package said 18 ounces. I am trying to give you an idea of how large they are.  My husband says lets split one today and one tomorrow, but no, I wanted the whole roll.  We both ate them, just fine, but weren't hungry for dinner!

Thanks for stopping by, be sure and check out the rest of the T-Gang over at Bleubeard's & Elizabeth's at Altered Book Lover.  Sorry this is so late on Tuesday, but the good news is it is early for Wednesday!  I was gone all day.  I started it before I left early this morning and couldn't get it done before I left!    Happy T Day!  Thanks for stopping by.

I like the idea of especially celebrating Thanksgiving all month (tho gratitude should always be a daily thing). Although I am a summer and beach girl thru and thru there is nothing like the vibrant colors of the trees in autumn! That wildlife preserve looks beautiful and I know I would have enjoyed it too. Nice and large treat to end your day:) Happy T day!

I'm loving those fall colours, isn't that tree spectacular! Such a lovely view from your window too 😀. With all those leaves I can see why it was so much work and why you downsized. I enjoyed visiting the wildlife reserve with you and oh that cinnamon roll looks so delicious, not sure I could eat a whole one but I'd try ...lol 😉. Happy T Day! J 😊 x

Your tree is beautiful. It's great to have that as a view outside your craft room.

I haven't been to Quivira Wildlife Preserve in YEARS. It's always fun to go either in spring or autumn when the birds are migrating. This was a beautiful weekend, wasn't it? Perfect temperatures and blue skies, too.

I had to laugh at Carriage Crossing. I've been several times and even featured those same HUMONGOUS cinnamon rolls at T before. I hope you got a look around the gift shop. Thanks for sharing YOURS with us for T this Wednesday, since your host got a bit sick last night when I started to visit. BTW, can you believe we are going to get SNOW on Thursday?

Sorry I'm late too. Tuesday is my busiest day and I don't get to see my computer until after 10 pm.
That tree is glorious in his autumn coat.
Yes, giving thanks the whole month is a good idea. We take it one step further and give thanks for things every day during our prayer time. That's how we start. With that you automatically roll into praising and glorifying His name. After that we have a long list of names for intercession.
Wow! That is one humongous cinnamon roll! You ate it all? Good for you! (I would have done too)
Happy belated T-Day,
Lisca

Hi Sharon, trees are fab. I agree, but come autumn, it's blasted leaves everywhere! We have lime trees overhanging our garden, and Doug has plans on cutting them back before spring. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #5 X

The autumn tree is beautiful, Sharon. It's more impressive standing by itself. I would be very thankful for less yard work.

I'm also thankful for my T-lady friends ;-)

I have a very similar setup in my craft room: computer - where I spend a lot of time - with a view to the yard. My craft table is right behind me.

Wow that's a huge cinnamon roll but it looks delicious.

Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

Hi Sharon. The colours of the leaves are gorgeous at this time of the year but will probably be gone soon. Hope you have a great week and a lovely woyww, Angela x15x

Hi Sharon, I have a lot of trees in my garden, and the carpet of leaves does take a lot of hard graft to clear away. Beautiful colours though. That cake looks very yummy! Have a lovely week Heather x #7

Love the color on your tree leaves. WE get browns and yellows but no reds on our property. Right now our yard is full of leaves but it's been too wet to do anything with them. Hopefully by the end of the week they will be dried enough to deal with.
Thanks for stopping by my blog for a visit! It's nice to be reconnecting with the Tuesday crowd again.

I imagine future residents in your road will enjoy the trees in your area as they mature! I love the view of the nature reserve! The buns look huge - half would have been good for me I think! Belated Happy T day Chrisx
