What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 264

Good morning!  It is what they call "hump day".   But when you are retired, it doesn't have the same meaning, because you are home every day! :)  I just now took a photo of what my desk looks like this morning, same as last night. I just had 170 photos printed, because I got a deal!  I am making so much work for myself. That is a lot of scrapping!  But those are photos from a whole year, including some photos of mementos, and a lot from our road trip two weeks ago.    Also, you can see that I am coloring an image for our SCS Tickle a Teapotter Challenge. And in the corner of the photo is my "tickle" from last month all the way from Australia. I have included a close up of my first art journal page.  I have seen many of yours as I desk hopped.  I finally started one.  Ad Astra is "to the stars" and Per Astera is "with difficulties.  I like that motto, and thought it appropriate for my journal.  Well that is it for this week.  I need to go to Bible Study this morning and when I get back I will visit you! :)  For more information on this Blog Hop, check out our hostess Julia,  at Stamping Ground.  Hope Julia is doing better this week!

I thank you for stopping by and for your kind comments.  I will be by to see you, and see what you are doing.  Have a great WOYWW!

WOYWW 263

Hello fellow Bloggers!  Welcome to WOYWW at my desk.  Head over to Julia's Stamping Ground for all the details.  This is what my desk did look like last week when I was making a birthday card for my Granddaughter.  I was watching a tutorial every step of the way! LOL  These kind of special cards are not easy for me!  This card is one of the  new Card in a Box style.   I have really drooled over the ones I have seen on other Blogs.  I was recently showing my Granddaughter these cards and she requested one for her birthday.  So, here is my attempt at it! :)  The video showing how is here.

Last week-end,  I participated in Splitcoat Stamper's Virtual Stamp Night and made these cards for the various challenges.  The Believe card was for the VSN A Good Book Challenge, and the top middle one was using the Salted Bachground Technique.  The top right one was for the sticker challenge, for which I used toe/finger nail stickers. :)  The bottom left was for The Hills Are Alive Challenge, and the Queen For The Day Challenge, honoring one of our stampers on SCS.  The one on the bottom right was for the Every Day a Vacay Challenge.  These were all great challenges.

Julia was gone last week. We are so glad to have her back!  I was gone for a different reason.  We took a trip and here is one photo of our road trip! :)

Happy WOYWW!

Thank you for stopping by and for your comments.  I will stop by your space when I can!

WOYWW 261

Hello,  fellow Bloggers! :)  Our big party was so fun last week!  I took a photo of ATC swaps I have received so far. You all are so artistic and I was amazed that you even made tiny envelopes for the ATCs!  I never even thought of that!   I loved making contact with  you this past week. I until last week, I didn't know how to get into my Gmail.  So, Kim helped me get into contact with Claire and Claire even gave me instructions on putting the Anniversary Badge on my Blog. Thank you my dear new friends!  :)   I cleaned my desk off to take the photo , but included a photo of what a mess my desk really is!
I am showing you my desk because it is all part of Julia's Stamping Ground's Blog Hop!
It really is a mess!
Received  ATCs

I did make a card this past week.  It was for Queen For The Day Challenge on Split Coast Stamper.

SU! Crushed Curry CS & Ribbon
SU! Pool Party & Crisp Cantelope CS
SU! Lean on Me Stamp set
                                                                   Momento Black stamp pad
                                                                   Pearls
                              Copics:  Dress: BG11,15  Hair: YR31, Y13  Skin: E000, E00, R20
The technique was to adhere two pieces of CS together and then emboss them together.  I like the effect.

Thank you for stopping by and for your comments.  Happy WOYWW!

Memory Verses

Good afternoon this first day of June!  I hope you all are doing well.  I wanted to answer one of your questions today.  On one of my posts someone noticed my Memory Verse holder or what I use to display my memory verses, and asked what it was. It is an acrylic easel, that originally came from Ikea.  It was something I got for free at my daughter's church for spending a certain amount of money in the church bookstore.  But Ikea sells it for $9.99. So I just thought I would answer that question and show my verses to you.  I wanted my memory verses to be handy to look at and to review.
I am using the Splitcoast Stamper Mixed Media challenges as backgrounds to showcase my monthly memory verses.  I even figured out how to put a blinkie on my Blog for the challenge! Well, with the help of several SCS friends!

   Joshua 24:15  April's Memory Verse
Mix-Ability April Showers Challenge:  Mist, Splash, Spray, or Squirt your project ... create puddles if you dare!  The background on here is one of my first Gelli Plate prints, then spritzed with re-inker and water.  The stamp is B Line Designs.  Verse is Stampability.
  Rom. 8:38-39 May's Memory verse
Faux Tile Challenge:  First, pick 3 colors of paint, ink, watercolor, etc.  Use Tape to mask and paint the lines.  I used post it notes. LOL  Also to get my verse on here (for which I had no stamp) I printed off the computer on vellum. The dies used here are:  MFT Dinamics Leafy Flourish Die, and Verve Cut Above Cross die.  The leaves are from Bird punch by SU!

Add Side view of the acrylic easel.  It has enough slots for 12 verses on 4" by 6".  I would think I could add more easily enough.

Well, Happy June!  Thanks for stopping by! Please let me know you were here! :)
