Delight thyself also in the LORD;
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the LORD;
trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. Psalms 37:4-5
How are you all doing on this hot afternoon? I am composing this post Monday afternoon, and it is 95degrees F out, with heat advisories for 105 degrees heat index! Great day to spend inside with the A/C. Although, I did go to Michaels earlier, went in and used their 5.00 reward coupon and only spent $1.06! I got some mini-ink blending foams, 20 of them in a package. I am happy with that. I have no idea why they emailed me this reward, not because I have spent any money there. In fact, I haven't spent any money since the last $5.00 reward they sent me! I only spent $2.00 then, the difference between the coupon and some snail adhesive. Thank you, Michaels! All that to say, that I then walked the whole parking lot of the very large shopping center, even walking another block to Dollar Tree to get some double-sided tape, then back to my car, near Michaels. I now have 6000 steps! But the heat was brutal as it was around noon.
Down to business! As the title says, I revisited a technique this week. It is called Cling Wrap Background. Here is a tutorial on Splitcoaststampers.
I did a few of the backgrounds in different colors using oxide inks on Watercolor cardstock but didn't take a photo of the one I used before I made the card. Below shows the process: Swipe the oxide inks onto the cling wrap, spritz with water, scrunch up, then lay on the cardstock, and leave until dry. When you lift it there will be a pretty pattern on the paper. You can do this with inks, or watercolors, either one.
Below is the finished card using TH stamps, Archival black ink, and twine. This particular card is going to one of our church ladies who will me 102 or 103, can't remember which. A couple of years ago I made her a special card for 100.
Lastly, here is a photo of freebie digitals from Scrapbooking With Me on YouTube, Edith Wray
I can't wait to make a journal with these pages. Don't those drinks look scrumptious? I think these would work especially for a coffee drinker who likes music. Of course I have someone in mind.
Happy T Day, as celebrated every Tuesday over on Altered Book Lover where our host and hostess are Bleubeard and Elizabeth. Thanks for stopping by. I will see you next time.

I picked the wrong day to go to Spice Merchant. The sun was relentless and of course, as usual, there was practically no parking around the building. You did a lot more walking in this heat than I did.
I first made this technique in February, 2009. I used a couple of the backgrounds in my Asian altered book. Your card turned out great. The lady who demoed it flipped the page over onto the cling wrap. I didn't. I used paint for mine. Cheap acrylic paint I watered down nearly 50/50. I like how you used oxide inks, which I don't have.
Those cards are amazing. Your printer did a good job. I love them all and I can see using them in a mini journal or altered book. They also are fabulous for T this week, too, dear friend. I'm going to pretend that iced drink in the bottom is iced coffee (grin).
Your cling wrap designs are always so pretty! Wow! 101 or 102??
We have that same heat right now. AUGH! Good for you to get those steps in. And I like that background technique and how your page came out. I hope you stay cool and get another Michael's coupon again soon. Happy T day. hugs-Erika
