Hello blog readers! This has been a wonderful Fall day, and I had a wonderful walk this morning. I really love these Fall days so far. Last week for the first day of Fall my husband and I decided to enjoy the outside as it wasn't quite as hot. We drove down to the river walk. You remember he recently had a hip replacement so he isn't doing long distance walking. But , I sat him on a bench and I took a short walk along the river. There were others enjoying the lovely day, too, including a jogging father with a baby buggy and a dog. We saw lots of interesting walkers, but I didn't photograph them. Here are just a few photos.

And after our or my walk, we went to our favorite burger joint, where we split a chili burger and a half order of fries. But of course we got our root beers, and took refills with us.

Here is the craft I worked on today. The technique challenge on SplitcoastStampers today was super fun! I didn't take photos of the process, only the resulting cards. But, basically, you use your die cut for a stencil. So I die cut the lantern. Then I sponged through the die cut negative my colors. Then I put the actual die cut, the lantern in the negative and stenciled through it, then removed it. I used different oxide colors. Then that was my card; I just added a sentiment and added three stickers, and added it to a panel, then to the base. Meanwhile, I used the die itself on a card. How cool is that? One technique= two cards.

I loved the statue-on my way to Yellowstone back in 2017 we visited this amazing statue of Sacagawea but I don't remember now where that was-it was awesome

I am so dense, I checked out what you wrote, then the SCS tutorial, THEN the tutorial the gal at SCS gave the link to. I still didn't get it, so watched the video and FINALLY understand it. I'm pretty dense when it comes to die cuts, I guess. Those are lovely cards, though,
I have a friend who jogs on that side of the river. I think most of my daily visitors know about The Keeper. I have shown it a lot and it shows up in a lot of the Wichita flags, too. I like that you shared it from a different location than I usually show my photos from.
Wow, I love root beer. That looks good, too, Sorry, the chili burger doesn't interest me, but those fries look extra yummy.

It's fun to see the river. Elizabeth has shown us the statue, but I have never seen the river area, which looks beautiful. What a great place to walk Sharon. And your lunch sounds yummy too. Beautiful walk along the river. It's so nice to walk right next to a body of water. The Keeper looks like an interesting and beautiful statue. I couldn't see it clearly here, so I googled it - lots of pictures. It's beautiful and I can see that it is illuminated during the night. Stunning.

It looks lovely by the river! I am sure Elizabeth has shown that Keeper of the Plains statue on her blog! I only like pork and apple burgers from a local Butcher but can appreciate what a treat is was for you to be out with hubby. Love that you have started your Christmas cards already and that your cards both look fabulous.
