What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday 267

Happy WOYWW this week!  I can't believe another week has gone by so quickly!  But I do  feel like I accomplished something this week!   I completed my 20 page South Dakota Album.  Yay!  I didn't get to enjoy that feeling of accomplishment very long, because I had to begin cleaning my room, and moving things off of  cabinets, so that I could get the craft room and family room carpet cleaned.  They move the big stuff, but I have to move all the lamps, and clutter!! So anyway, the photo I took is before I began cleaning off everything!  Also, I included another 2 page spread from my album.
I have to share what I did last night!  I had moved my markers over to another cabinet to make room for me to scrap.  I noticed later they weren't all there.  I went to my laptop and checked my Evernote inventory, and found two that were missing.  I suspected they were behind the cabinet.  I couldn't reach or see if they were there or not.  I drug a long stick back there  but didn't come come up with the markers.  After my husband went to bed, this 68 year old was bound  determine to retrieve those markers.  I cleaned the cabinet off, and lifted  the 6' top off and then moved the drawer section.  Sure enough they were under the cabinet.  I was so happy!  Then I had to get everything back together again.  I don't know how I had gotten that top lifted off, because it was quite the episode getting it back togther again.  I am glad no one was looking! LOL  What we don't do for our hobby!  Anyway, all Copics accounted for!
If you don't know what WOYWW is check out Stamping Ground for all the details about our Desk hop! You might even visit some of the other deskers.   Thank you for stopping by and reading my ramblings! Have a wonderful Wednesday.  I hope to come by and see you.

My desk after completing my album.  My teacup, and my Michaels sale items; acrylic paints half price for my Gelli printing.  Why so many tickets?  They didn't give me the sale price, and I had to go back and have them do it right!  Wax paper shapes from my dies.  What do you do with your leftover waxpaper dies?  I thought about using them in my Gelli prints.  What do you think?

I can't believe I finished all 20 pages!

Hi Sharon, happy WOYWW, and congrats on finishing your holiday album. It's maddening alright when things slip behind furniture...you should be careful moving stuff but I understand, as I would probably have moved the cabinet too. As for your wax die cuts...I use mine as stencils on cards especially when I'm using the die cut on the card eg snowflakes. Cheers and have a great week RobynO#41

Hi Sharon, lolled at lot at your post! I can picture you tearing the room apart to find your pens! Well done for completing the album. I must admit, when I moved into my craft room( My sons bedroom after he moved out) I took up the carpet and put laminate floor down. My old room had carpet, and I was for ever finding stuff stuck to it!Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #64 xx

Hello Sharon. Well done for finishing that album! Brilliant job. Oh my goodness - all that furniture moving late at night.... hope you slept well after all that!
Take care. God bless.

Gratz on finishing the album! LOL Had to laugh at your cupboard experience: I had a high bookshelf w/my Big Shot on it; used for my wafer dies which are on a magnetic frame on the wall; after losing a few behind it I finally bought a new piece of furniture, with legs so I can reach under!

I have a missing Copic too. You want to come over and lift up my desk and see if it's under there? Yeah, me either. I may just buy another Y00 but I have a few more places to poke around first. Congrats on finishing all the scrapbook pages! Your place will look nice after the shampoo so it is worth the effort. Judy #72

LOL! Glad you found them - I am forever losing stuff down the back of my desk but it's usually behind the rolling carts so not quite so much of a pain to find them. Wax paper shapes work fine on cards or even layouts, almost like vellum in look. But I don't think the paint would stick to them very well if you Gelli printed them, not sure. Why don't you give it a go and let US know? :)

Happy WOYWW!

Hi Sharon. I admire your tenacity in finding your missing pens. Most impressive. I would have waited until morning and got John to do it for me.
You asked last week what faffing is . . . I would say it's doing stuff that doesn't really need to be done to put off what you should be doing. :-)
You can simply faff, faff around or faff about.
Have a lovely week

Hi Sharon, love the journal. Using the wax paper shapes to block off areas on the gelli plate would be a great idea.
Happy crafting and have a great week, Angela x #42

Great layout and photos, Sharon! Love the selfie!! But goodness, you are one crazy lady for tackling that cupboard by yourself! You could have messed up your back or worse if it had fallen over on you! Phew! My heart was racing as I was reading it, not sure if you broke your foot, or what! Since you are okay, I'll stop lecturing you and say, good job retrieving them so you could sleep!! Happy WOYWW and have a wonderful week! Thanks for stopping by the Playhouse! Hugs, Darnell #18

Good for you for finishing your album, but most of all for finding those markers. To be honest I would of torn the whole room apart and stripped it completely to find them, talk about being on a mission. So i am in support of your completed mission, you go girl....

Happy WOYWW

Your story about your search for the lost Copics made me laugh, because it sounds as extreme as something I would go through to find a lost art tool/material. What we do for our love of art - LOL! I love your Copics holder by the way. Your scrapbook pages look great and congratulations on completing the album. Blessings!

Hi Sharon,
Your story of retrieving the markers put me in mind of something I did a couple of months ago. I had cut up and mounted some new red rubber stamps and later couldn't find one of them. Because they were new and I didn't even have a picture of them I didn't even know what I was looking for! Eventually, I decided that the only place it could possibly be was in the rubbish with the rubber scraps. Sure enough I went through the garbage bin (and it was bin night!) and found it! It turned out to be a tiny weeny bird no bigger than some of the scraps! Phew!

Ah dont you hate the way blogger eats comment.. think it is something done on keyboard but no idea what is..
Embedded comment are not as easy to use as pop up ones as you cant keep the page in front on you while you are typing but constantly have to scroll down - plus they dont work well on mobile which I use al lot .. whine over!!
I so agree with missing pens would have done the same... and re the wax paper use a blackout white candle end and rub end of it over die over then rub die over my jeans to get off excess wax and then no paper waste .. but easy removal definitely. Saves a lot of hassle. Shaz in Oz.x #3
