I have tried to make three to five Christmas cards a month, so that I wouldn't have to make them all in December. So I have been busy stamping the insides, just as time consuming as making the card. I have tried to stamp the inside sentiment and then cut the inside panels to match what is on the outside. Look at what a mess my die cut area is. Also, these are my cards and their insides on my main craft area. I have 40 cards made, stamped on inside, and my "made by stamp" on the back. So, now all I have to do is address them. And when I make them all different, just maybe five a like, it is difficult to choose which ones to send to who!!! LOL Also, below, I did make a card yesterday!
Thumping Technique |
This card was made using the Thumping Technique. Here is a Splitcoast Stamper Tutorial. I made this for my You Can Do It Challenge to use this technique.
It is such an easy way to achieve added highlights and depth. You just ink up your stamp with one color, this time I used SU! Certainly Celery. You then thump a marker of another color different places on the stamp. I used Midnight Muse and Old Olive. Then you huff on your stamp and stamp it! :)
This is a card I made for my GF that made me the gorgeous scarf that I showed you last week.
Other credits for the card. Cardstock: SU! Midnight Muse, Whisper White, Certainly Celery
Spellbinders Labels 10 Die & SU! Petite Punch
SU! Fancy Fan Embossing Folder
Stamps: sentiment- Pretty Petites
image- Watercolor Trio
Saphire Rhinestone Stickers

Fab Christmas cards! I know what you mean about who get which card. :) you're thumping card turn out great. Love the image. I have all but one of the TH distress ink pads so I'm not surprised I have the ones you do. :)) Thanks for the earlier visit! WOYWW hugs! Nan G #20
Beautiful cards...the hardest part for me would be who gets which one... You have a lot of pretty layers and the insides are great. Love the colors you used in the Thank You card. Very pretty also
Enjoy your WOYWW visits and have a fun creative week. #18
Wow...You finished your Christmas cards early. I haven't even started. #17
Oh your cards are so beautiful and such a lot of work put into them. I am sure that the receivers will be so happy to receive from you. I also agree, when I send different cards off, it is hard to decide who gets which card, now I send everyone the same card, easy peasy no hassles.
Thanks for sharing.

Gorgeous cards, I have been doing multiples of each design too, for speed this year! Someone at craft club last night asked if I did the envelopes too.... no, but I might do after I've written them... or maybe not! Have a lovely week. Helen 7,
What beautiful cards you have made for Christmas. Well done you.

OK you win the prize for being the most ready at this stage..love the matching inside to outside idea with the dies. And believe me....your die cut area is nothing in terms of untidy!!
Lovely cards!

The thumping technique/sample are looking good. I'm not a stamper but this even appeals to me! Great to see you are making headway with your Christmas cards. BJ#108
Hi Sharon, thanks for visiting me, yes it is a great tin and you can't get them now, well not easily. Sadly it only fits alcohol inks and not the Distress reinkers, they are too tall! I also bought a second hand ink pad one, unfortunately it took me a while to realise it was broken, it will not stay together. I saw another brand new one ink being offered for sale for less just after I bought it, if only I had known I would have bought that one too.
I love your thumping card, I have done this but didn't know it was called Thumping!
