WOYWW 269

Happy Wednesday everyone!  I hope you are having a great week!  It is that  time once again to desk hop and look at everyone's desk!  I always enjoy looking at all your spaces and seeing what you are doing. I have learned so many new things since I started particcipating in Julia's desk hop!  Check out the rest of the desks at Stamping Ground.
I finally have my space put back together again after the carpet cleaning.  I took the opportunity to purge and to reorganize.  I now have most of my sentiment stamps in a handy space right at my finger tips and organized by , Bible Versses, Sympathy, Get well, and Anniversary, etc.  One whole drawer is for birthday stamps.  One drawer is for scrapbooking stamps, (alphabet, etc), and one drawer is for holiday stamps.  I still have lots of other stamp sets;  but it is more organized, now.  Here are some photos of how it is organized. I really did purge some stamp sets, and got rid of one large plastic cabinet. And, I did make a card on Monday!

This card was made for several Splitcoast Stamper challenges.  I didn't take a photo of sentiment on the inside, so am showing you the stamp I stamped it with.  The paper is SU! Bliss Blue Brilliant Blue CS & DP, all retired.  I used the SU!  Beautiful Wings Emboslit, and Banners Framelits. I also used Spellbinders Inverted scallopped circle dies and added pearls to the butterflies.  That is another thing I did, put all my butterfly sets and sentiments are all in one place!  It is so much easier to put my hands on what I want to use!
Have a great Wednesday!  I will hop over and see you all.  Thanks for stopping by, and for your encouraging comments.

WOYWW 268

I tell you this Wednesday desk hop sure comes around quickly every week!  How does that happen?  I will try to post early, because  I have Bible study, then I am scheduled for a root canal! Ouch!  Last night I made a CAS Christmas Card for our SCS Twisted Sister Challenge to make a Christmas card using a wreath.  Very simple and it only took minutes.  Am seriously thinking I might make them all like this! I used SU! Sketch It for the wreath, and the sentiment is from RiverCity Rubber Works Pine & Holly stamp set. These are both old sets, but classic.

My desk this morning!

I made the above card with my new Our Daily Bread stamps that I got at the stamp show last month.  I made it for the SCS Try a New Technique challenge to score your card, and for the Clean and Simple Challenge to do a Beach Themed Card.  I am hoping this will be a good masculine card.  The cardstock is Baja Breeze, and Close to Cocoa, both retired.

Thanks for stopping by, and for your encouraging comments.  I will stop by your desks this afternoon,
If you don't know what What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday is, stop by Julia's Stamping Ground and check out our Desk Hop.  Happy Wednesday!

What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday 267

Happy WOYWW this week!  I can't believe another week has gone by so quickly!  But I do  feel like I accomplished something this week!   I completed my 20 page South Dakota Album.  Yay!  I didn't get to enjoy that feeling of accomplishment very long, because I had to begin cleaning my room, and moving things off of  cabinets, so that I could get the craft room and family room carpet cleaned.  They move the big stuff, but I have to move all the lamps, and clutter!! So anyway, the photo I took is before I began cleaning off everything!  Also, I included another 2 page spread from my album.
I have to share what I did last night!  I had moved my markers over to another cabinet to make room for me to scrap.  I noticed later they weren't all there.  I went to my laptop and checked my Evernote inventory, and found two that were missing.  I suspected they were behind the cabinet.  I couldn't reach or see if they were there or not.  I drug a long stick back there  but didn't come come up with the markers.  After my husband went to bed, this 68 year old was bound  determine to retrieve those markers.  I cleaned the cabinet off, and lifted  the 6' top off and then moved the drawer section.  Sure enough they were under the cabinet.  I was so happy!  Then I had to get everything back together again.  I don't know how I had gotten that top lifted off, because it was quite the episode getting it back togther again.  I am glad no one was looking! LOL  What we don't do for our hobby!  Anyway, all Copics accounted for!
If you don't know what WOYWW is check out Stamping Ground for all the details about our Desk hop! You might even visit some of the other deskers.   Thank you for stopping by and reading my ramblings! Have a wonderful Wednesday.  I hope to come by and see you.

My desk after completing my album.  My teacup, and my Michaels sale items; acrylic paints half price for my Gelli printing.  Why so many tickets?  They didn't give me the sale price, and I had to go back and have them do it right!  Wax paper shapes from my dies.  What do you do with your leftover waxpaper dies?  I thought about using them in my Gelli prints.  What do you think?

I can't believe I finished all 20 pages!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 266

Good afternoon!   I am a bit late to get my post on today. Just got home from Bible study, and took a quick photo of my desk for Julia's Desk Hop!  Check out Stamping Ground for all the details, and to see other Blogger's desks.  I see there is one card project I began on Monday, but haven't completed. But as you can see I have been scrapping my South Dakota trip.  I have done 5 pages of 20. I know there are 20 because, I divided the photos among the 20 album pockets.  I have decided to use my stash of design papers.  I have this fabulous pad of travel paper by The Paper Studio.  I went through and pulled out all of the road trip paper for this one.  I am not getting any younger, so have decided to quit hoarding this pretty paper.  Also, I am doing it very simple, and letting the paper do all the work.  I have included a photo below of a two page LO.  I had submitted this for the Scraplift Challenge on SplitcoastStampers. I lifted from Scrapper Ann who used the diamonds.  I loved that idea!   But,  I have a lot more to do.  So, better be quick with this and continue with my project.  My hope is to get this done before July is over, because in August we have another trip scheduled. I love retirement!

Simple, but scrapped!
Thank you for stopping by and for your encouraging comments.  I hope to stop by and see your area, too.

WOYWW 265

Good morning  fellow Bloggers!  And others too! :)   I spent a wonderful week-end at a stamp show with my BFF GF. We stamped, shopped, and shopped some more,  and watched Hallmark movies in the evenings.   I hadn't been able to do something like this for several years, and it was so fun. We learned new techniques and  also learned what we needed to do those techniques.  So, of course, I spent some money for some of those things!  Not that I don't have enough, already!  I couldn't wait to show you my desk with all my new goodies and some things we did at the Make & Takes.   Okay, just in case you don't know why I am showing you my desk, it is because I am participating in this wonderful world wide desk hop sponsored by Julia Dunnit.  All the details can be  found at  Stamping Ground.

Make & Takes, new dies, stamps, tools, inks & glitters

New stamps from ODDB, CC Designs, B&Js Art Stamps, Morning Star, Lost Coast Designs, Stamp A Mania

Card I made with new technique.
Card I made with new image & new dies.
So fun to learn new techniques,  and to use my new CC's Coffee Sue stamp & new Spellbinders A2 Curved Matting Basics B die.

Thanks for stopping by and thank you for your kind comments.  I will come by and see you after Wednesday morning Bible study.  :)

Ps. 34:8  "Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!"
