DTGD & TSFT & WOYWW 480

Phi 4:4  Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

T Stands for totally done with my DTGD Cards!  And here is the proof!  As promised last week, I am showing them to you.  I have already mailed out 7 of them!  And some of the others were made with someone special in mind.

42 cards done for 40 challenges: 23 birthday cards, 8 encouragement cards, 4 sympathy cards, 1 anniversary card, 1 Valentine, 1 Congrats card and 4 Christmas cards!
I learned several different new techniques, and got to get my Gelli plate out and play and make various backgrounds, played with my oxides, and my alcohol inks!  These are things I guess I have to be challenged to play with!  Otherwise they sit there ignored!  I had a week of fun!

And this is my desk for WOYWW over at Julias Stamping Ground..  It is a mess, and I hope I am not showing too much because I have been working on a special project for someone.  Did you notice  what I did, I sprayed ink and got it on my wood ink pad/marker/refill storage!  Ink comes off of my mat, off my desk, but I can't get it off the wood.  Anyone have any ideas?

For the tea gang over at Bleubeard & Elizabeths's at Altered Book Lover in honor of T Stands for Tuesday, here is my drink related part of my post.

My hubby bought this for me; it was on sale or something.  Anyway, it is really good, the only problem is getting that straw off and poking it into that drink! LOL  Who invented that anyway! And then there is hardly anything in it!  One of them we poured into our cup and it was   half a cup!  So, I think they are  for little toddlers or something!  Ten came in a package, and I could drink them all in one day! LOL  Anyway, hubby was buying me something special and I have enjoyed getting one out of the fridge every now and then.

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a great week!

  1. I'm SO sorry I missed your Wednesday post last week. Have you tried using 91% alcohol (rubbing alcohol) to get the ink off the wood? It removes Staz-on ink from rubber stamps, including the wood backing. If you try it, be sure to get the 91%, not 50%. I get mine at my neighborhood grocery WalMart.

You made some fabulous cards, Sharon. I can see where a die cutter would come in handy for that challenge. Your cards are beautiful. You have enough to last the entire year, I think.

Had to laugh at that Capri Sun. It's quite a gimmick and there doesn't seem to be a lot of truth in advertising. I do admit the cherry looks really good, though.

So glad you joined us this week for T, Sharon. It was fun to see all the cards and your Capri Sun container. Thanks for sharing these this Tuesday. Yep, I'm getting in just under the wire. Hope you have a great WOYWW, too.

  7. I remember those drinks from when the kids were little; they were popular as snacks at soccer practices.

I googled DTGD without any luck. What does that stand for? I'll follow comments here. Thx! :)

    1. Dare To Get Dirty is a week long full of challenges, 40, put on by the Dirty Dozen past and present on SplitcoastStampers for the Fan Club. Only members of the Fan club at SplitcoastStampers get this perk. It is my favorite time of year as far as crafting. I love the challenges, and we learn lots of new techniques. Then their are prizes drawn for those that complete all the challenges! Here is a link to Splitcoast: https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/

  8. I always get sprays everywhere when I use then and refuse to clutter up the living room with a big box to spray things inside. I am afraid I just leave things sprayed! Helen #4

  10. What a great collection of cards! I hate those capri suns too. By the time you get the straw in, half the juice runs out but my kiddos always loved them for when we were on the go. Have a great week! Dorlene #26

  11. I can imagine how much fun you had creating all those card Sharon, it's a nice size batch and good to hear you have learnt lots of new techniques along the way.
I did smile about the capri suns as my children used to take them in their lunch boxes at school. We learnt that if you lift them up and hold from the top you can poke the straw in without losing half the juice.. well it works some of the times hee hee.
Thanks for sharing WOYWW creative wishes Tracey #5

  18. Hi Sharon. Sorry to be so late. I didn't see you at the party and then you left me a comment, so I went back to check. I guess I left early and you came late - lol.

Wow! I'm pressed by the number of cards you made in such a short time and they all look special - not like they were just thrown together. Lovely.

Yes, kids walk around sipping those Capri Suns. They're easy to tuck into a lunchbox too. I didn't realize how little there was in each one though!

  19. Wow, that's a lot of cards you've made to send out - aren't all colourful laid out like that?! Blooming paint spray goes everywhere you don't want it to, huh? I have no idea how to remove it but hope that someone else has a good suggestion.

  21. An ATC Coin is simply a circular atc - instead of the usual rectangular one - it is 2.5" across.
Well, that is an enormous amount of cards you have on display for us today. You have been a busy bee. Thanks for sharing

  22. I didn't read all the comments, but if no one has mentioned a Magic Eraser, I find that gets off most things!!
GREAT JOB on all those cards!

  24. So many wonderful cards Sharon! Great techniques and quotes!
My daughter loved and (still loves) Capri Sun in those packages... she tells me that reminds her so much of her childhood ( she is 18 now) and so she has to buy one or more :-)) from time to time. I can't remember to have bought her this??? Maybe my late mother?!

    Belated Happy T Day wishes!

  25. I never worry about ink getting on things - it's part of knowing I am an artist! I have paint/ink all over my TV remotes, heat gun, hair dryer, me, etc! makes me feel good to look at it, shows I've been busy! As you certainly have, WOW! Challenges are great for building up a stash of cards, aren't they? And learning new techniques! Have a wonderful week, Lindart 324

  26. Greetings Sharon. It's HAPPY MAIL DAY. I just got home and found your envelope in my mailbox. I haven't opened it yet because I wanted to thank you before I did anything else. Thank you beyond belief. Look for what you sent me at T on Tuesday (or actually Monday night).

  27. Oh these are marvellous cards, Sharon How wonderful to have these ready to use whenever you need one. I never seems to have enough cards.
I wouldn't worry about a bit of ink on the wood, think of it as an artistic statement. I've got a rather nice purple spot on the cream carpet in my studio which I like to think of as a souvenir of a happy art day.
I'm a little late on visiting from last Tuesday so I'll just say "Happy Tea Weekend!".

  28. Good morning, Sharon! You were busy. Some day I'll get to play with the team again. LOL I need to plan a week ahead to have my desk cleaned. I'm always cleaning the space in prep to play and never get to play! LOL Good you got your geli out. I hope to play with mine soon. Creative Blessings! Kelly #27
