T Stands For Tuesday Again!

"Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honor all the day." Ps. 71:8

Good afternoon!  It is time for another TSFT post.  I look forward to seeing what everyone is doing every T Day Tuesdays. I know it is Monday, but for a lot of our bloggers who come to the T Party at Altered Book Lover with Bleubeard and Elizabeth, it is already Tuesday!  So, that is why some of us post on Monday afternoon/evening.  Unlike other times, I have a lot to share today; so let's get to it! :)

Today, I have been playing with a free grafic from The Graphic Fairy.  If you sign up for their Friday emails, you get a free digi every week.  This past week, I also got a free instructions to make these tiny envelopes along with the free digi of them.  She gold foiled the envelopes but I used a gold gelato instead.  I am not going to get into the expense of foiling. Her instructions were to spray the paper before starting to cut, but I sponged inks on instead.  I know, I don't follow directions, do I?  Then we  were to cut the squares out, draw lines across the back like an X, then we would know where to fold the envelopes.  That was a great tip.  Then I fussy cut the roses and the sayings.  I inked up some cheese cloth, then glued all into the envelopes.  Besides the gold gelato around the edges, I also sprayed with shimmer spray.  I am working on a rose theme junk journal and bet these will go in it.  Hers are gorgeous!  I was just playing.  I plan on making more and doing them more gorgeous. :)

I didn't think to take a photo before I had already begin to cut the squares.  This is what the square looked like before cut and folded.

I really think I will use these.  If you want the correct instructions go to The Graphic Fairy. This was called DIY Vintage French Gold Foil Papercraft.

This post would be way too long if I shared everything I had planned to share, so I will save some for next time.  But I did remember to take photos when we went out to eat this week, something we haven't done for a long time, with what has been going on the last year and a half!  Besides the pandemic, my hubby had hip replacement surgery a little over a month ago, yet, he already was able to go out to eat with only the help of a cane.  I praise the Lord for this!

It is difficult to get out of there without giving in to some of their yummy looking deserts, but we managed!  Mainly, because their daily specials were so filling.  We each even took home half!  So, yummy!

This was a great salad with chicken, cranberries, sunflower seeds, & mandarin oranges served with a wonderful creamy walnut vinaigrette.  Maybe almonds or walnuts, too, can't remember, now.  But, delicious!!!!

Thank you for stopping by.  Be sure and check out Altered Book Lover TSFT to see what others are doing this T Day Tuesday. Have a wonderful crafty week!

T Stands For Two Topics

"Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honor all the day." Ps. 71:8

Good Afternoon!  It is lovely here today; we even had the house opened up.  It is a wonderful second day of Summer.  Yesterday, and last week with heat indexes sometimes in the hundreds, today is a welcome change!  We even got a little rain.  I don't think it is going to last long, though.

First today, I will show you some VSN (Virtual Stamp Night) cards I did over the week-end.  Our theme this time on Splitoaststampers is Fantasy Worlds.  Some of the challenges were:  Floral Fantasy, Shimmery Wings, Fantasy Island, Narnia, Futuristic.  Here are a few cards I made.  A couple have already been sent.

We were challenged to have shimmery wings on our cards, could have been dragonfly, butterfly or I chose Angel wings. I die cut them out of glitter paper.

This was a fun challenge to make a futuristic card from when we were born.  They never heard of internet or laptops or email when I was born.  This is a C Designs image, and sentiment.  I colored with Copics, fussy cut her and put her on a die cut oval then on Cuttlebug Divine Design Embossed pane.  Then I added washi tape and the sentiment on a punched Large lable, & word window, both SU! punches.

This was our floral challenge.  I just happened to have this printed paper on my desk, so distressed it and mounted on the Blackberry Bliss and added the punched heart.

This is a gel print background that I had made with a stencil.  I die cut a fairy and wings & the sentiment, then added glitter and gold thread.

Our fantasy island card.  The background was done to be like Faux Tearing technique.  I tore paper and then sponged over it to make the scene.  Makes a flatter card to mail.

This was inspired by the Narnia Challenge.  I decided that this Hampton Art Graphic 45 image was perfect to depict the children reading the Chronicles of Narnia.  I stamped the image and background with the new oxide color Salvaged Patina.  I stamped the background with a dictionary page stamp.

Secondly, I have to post this for our hostess Elizabeth of our TSFT over at Altered Book Lover.  I got lost again, like when I found the pianos, but this time I found a little memorial garden.  It is in front of the Bob Dole VA Hospital.  I was looking for the Tag office. LOL  I find the most fun things when I get lost.  I am just like my mom.  We all used to love going somewhere with her, because we always got to go somewhere other than where we were supposed to be going. LOL Here are photos of the memorial garden.  It was difficult to get photos without people in them.

I hope you liked my VSN cards and my walk through the little garden.  Did you see my drink reference?  If you want to visit our hostess and our other  TSFT bloggers click on the link above, and if you want to take part in the VSN challenges, you can click on that link above, also.
Hope you are having a nice day.  Thanks for stopping by.

T Stands For Thank You

"Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honor all the day." Ps. 71:8

Hello!  It is time for TSFT and for Tag Tuesday.

First things first: I just read Elizabeth's post for TSFT and she said she had happy mail and was excited about it, but I had a happier sack from her!  It was full of goodies! I am overwhelmed with her generosity.  I will put these to good use.  In fact, I made Elizabeth's thank you card and today's tag out of one of the card bases.  She gave me five packages of  beautiful cards with envelopes.  The envelopes I will definitely use for all my handmade cards, and the bases have printed design on both sides of the card, so that will be a lot of backgrounds.  Or, I can always use as is!  Also there was an opened package of Michaels larger bases and envelopes. I think I will be sharing some of this, too, as that is more than I will ever use.  Now you can see her happy mail was small compared to my sack of goodies!  Thank you Elizabeth for your thoughtfulness.  Now, if we could just do something about the postal system!  I might not walk over with your next card, but I will drive it over!

Here is my tag for Tag Tuesday.  The theme is tag on a tag. I punched both tags with my SU! Punch.  I used a scrap left over from cutting the card for Elizabeth.  I mounted it on a scrap from my scrap drawer.  I punched the leaves from a scrap on my desk, and added a flower and gem.  I punched the butterfly from a scrap and used a gel pen around the edges.  Also, I attached a scrap of ribbon to the tag.  You sense  I have a theme, too, using scraps?  I will probably use this in one of my Junk Journals.

Here are some photos of my walk yesterday at the facility where I take my husband for his Physical Therapy after his hip replacement.  FYI, my husband is doing fabulous!  Just a month ago yesterday he fell, and had the surgery, and he is already working with a cane at PT!  Lots of prayers and answered prayer is responsible.  So, I do praise the Lord.

As you drive into the facility, this is what you see.

I walked the parking lot which is huge, then in back where there are a couple of ponds.

There are several of these bird houses around the ponds, not sure which kind they are for.

This is the sign you see as you drive out.

The above is my ticket to the tea party.  I have my tea, but also my water, as I have already had my walk today, and even though I went early, it was already hot, hot, hot!  :)

I hope you have a wonderful week.  Thanks for letting me join in even thought I am a tad late , but it is Tuesday morning here!  Thanks for stopping by.
