My Birthday & WOYWW #230

I received  a lot of interesting crafting items and some handmade cards  for my birthday that I wanted to share with you.  See that beautiful scarf (my favorite colors!) that my GF made for me for my birthday. :)  And that beautiful card she made for me.  Remember, I went to her house a couple of weeks ago and used her stamps?  Well she used my die, and that is what she used on my card.  She did a beautiful job.  And there are two more cards that stamper friends sent me.  My GF gave me some metallic acrylic paint to mix with my re-inkers, and a tiny spray bottle and some little containers to put them in. :)  Then I got chocolate, and a CD, and lots of other fun things! So even though Monday was my birthday, Tuesday, I went to breakfast with two friends and lunch with another. Just had a great day of eating out and shopping! :)

I missed WOYWW last week, and I really missed it!  I have learned some new things in the few weeks, I have taken part in WOYWW.  I had never heard of Zentangle, until I visited one of your Blogs.  I know where have I been?  Now, I have been to a class.  I had never heard of Gelee Plate.  Now, I am watching tutorials on that!  Anyway thank you all for sharing what you are doing.  I am learning! :)  Well, off to see what you all are doing this week.  :)

WOYWW 228

Welcome to WOYWW!  (What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday)  If you don't know what that is, visit Julia's Stamping Ground and check it out!

I have been busy, but just not at my craft area.  Yesterday, I drove out of town to visit and craft with my friend!  So, what is on my table, is what I did at her craft table. :)  We worked on our calendar gift sets for Christmas gifts; I got four months started 15 of each.  They are all stamped, but now I have to color and sponge them yet. I used her stamps, and I took some of mine for her to use.  Now for the rest of the months, I will use my own stamps. :)  Also, I stamped some of her images for possible Christmas cards. I took some of my dies for her to use, and I used some of hers.  There is also a scrap page I have started.

But the most important thing I wanted you to see was that I took your advice, to use the shelf I found at the garage sale, to store my Copics.  Two weeks ago I showed this find to you, and at least three maybe more said it would  be perfect for my Copics!  So here they are!  What do you think?
                   Happy WOYWW!

Thank you for stopping by, and for your comments.  I enjoy reading every one of them!

Butterflies Are Free

A few weeks ago on my WOYWW post I indicated a box  on my craft area that had butterflies in it.  My Blogger friend Brandy sent them  to me.  It included about 40 butterflies of different colors and different cuts. I thought I would show you today two more cards that I made with the butterflies.   I thought they were all so lovely and lacy, I just love using them on my cards. They made these cards easy! Thanks Brandy! :)

I needed this card unfortunately for a friend this week.   I used SU! Thoughts & Prayers set.  I used Spellbinders oval and lacy oval dies.  I made clouds by punching a scalloped circle and sponging around it, a trick I learned from one of SCS friends. :)  The cardstock is SU! Baja Breeze & Close to Cocoa, & Whisper White.   The ink is VersaFine Vintage Sepia, ( my favorite go to ink pad).  I sponged with Baja Breeze.  Then I  used pearls on one of the butterflies that Brandy so wonderfully cut and sent me! :)

I made this birthday card for a dear friend.  Just gave it to her this week.  I ran the white through with a EF, and layered on Tempting Turquoise.  I stamped it with sentiment from Elegant Greetings from SU!  I just happened to have ribbon that matched the butterflies! :)  Really, the four butterflies are the stars here!

I wish you all a great week-end!  Hope you get to craft some.  Thank you for stopping by and for your comments!
Hugs!

WOYWW 227

Oh, my goodness!  Wednesdays sure come quickly!  If you are wondering what What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday is all about, check out Julia's Stamping Ground for the details!
So, I am not doing that much creating, as much as I am organizing!  Although, it does not look like organizing, that is what I am doing.  I am re-cataloging my stamps.  I have already imput all my SU! sets all 188 wood mounted sets and 40 clear mounted.  Now I am listing the  Non-SU! wood mounted and  clear mounted.  I am doing all of this in the program Evernote. I didn't know it would be such a huge undertaking!         My photo this week is of this week's work area, which is my table in the family room with my laptop/desktop. It was a laptop before the screen went out, so now is a desktop with a TV screen! LOL There is my sewing machine for what little sewing I do, mostly on cards.

I have all of these stamp set below to do yet.   When I notate the set , I also scan a photo into the computer. I do this all on my PC, but have access to my stamp inventory on my mini iPad, which is real convenient!  I am pretty excited about this project, although it is a lot of work!

I am pretty late getting this posted, because I had a busy Wednesday card making with our ladies at church for our encouragement Ministry.  Have a wonderful WOYWW!  Thanks for stopping by and for your comments.  Now I am going to go visit you and see what you are doing! :)

WOYWW 226 White Washing and Angel Tag

Happy WOYWW!  Don't know what WOYWW is?  Check it out at Julia's Stamping Ground.
This is what my area looks like right now.  I just finished a card for Teapot Tuesday on Splitcoast Stamper, using White Wash technique.  Earlier this week I made a tag for one of our challenges using paints, and all kinds of other mediums. really an experiment for me!  So evidence of that is still on my blotter.  Also, a fall card failure using paints is laying there to be discarded.  An alphabet die with paint on it is the remains of a scrapbook page I did earlier.
Also, see the cute little criss-cross shelf I picked up for $2.00 at a garage sale?  I haven't decided how to use it yet.  It came with all the spice jars that fit in there too.  So, a project! :)  Oh, and see the baggie of goodies one of my blogger friends sent me from ScrapFest?  Now, I can eat the goodies, and use the items in the bag.  I just wanted to show you how cutely packaged it was.

Here is close up of my card and tag.
Thank you for looking and for your comments.
I always enjoy reading them! :)
Have a great week!
