What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 341 And VSN Cards

Luke 2: 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them:and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not:for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace,
good will toward men.

Wednesday again!  Time to show you my desk!  We all link to Stamping Ground on Wednesdays and show off our desks.  I have been crafting all week taking part in Virtual Stamp Night challenges on SplitcoastStampers.  I still have three more challenges to do by Saturday night.  Also showing off a Christmas card I got all the way from Spain from fellow blogger Jan S.  Wow!

I am still in thinking stage of next challenge card for VSN.

Isn't that the most adorable mouse?!  And love the goodies!

Here are a few of my VSN Challenge cards., most of these already in the mail!

I am late as usual, but cleaning for Christmas company!  I don't know if I will be posting next week, because I will have a house full of company, and loving every moment of it!  So Merry Christmas everyone!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to stop by and see your space, too.

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 340

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,  To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.  Titus 2:3-5

Good Morning everyone, or is it afternoon?  I am so slow getting around.  I have been addressing Christmas cards and sacking up Christmas gifts. I even forgot it was Wednesday and thus time for WOYWW.  In fact I wouldn't have remembered at all, but my husband mentioned it was the day to do the bedding! LOL  So, when I came down to do the load, I saw my desk and remembered!  I took a quick photo so you will see what it looks like this morning. You might notice a  new set of acrylic stamps I picked up at Michaels on clearance; might use them on some cards for this week-end's Virtual Stamp Night on SplitCoast Stampers. Also, a pad of Christmas paper that I purchased on sale last year and need to use.  I have a set of sentiments from SU! that I haven't used yet.  I did cover up my calendar gift sets because the recipients don't have theirs yet.  But, I stamped and colored 15 sets of them.  I will post photos of them after Christmas.  This "forgetting it is Wednesday" is a symptom of retirement! LOL

To see more desks from all over the world, check out Stamping Ground.

If I didn't make it to your desk last week, please accept my apology.  I will try to better this week!  The days and weeks just seem to fly!  Thank you so much for stopping by!

WOYWW 339 Stamp-Storage

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,  To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.  Titus 2:3-5

Good morning!  It is time to show what is on our craft desks!  Everyone else is showing theirs, too over at Stamping Ground.  Be sure and check them out. Mine is clean!  Many of you guessed two weeks ago what was new on my desk.  It was the new Stamp-n-Storage Combo Holder for all my SU! ink pads, markers and refills!  Well, not all of them, but the current colors, and the In-Colors. Anyway, after I got that, I decided to do a little re-organizing.  So I am including a collage of sort of what my space looks like.  The first photo, though is what my desk actually looks like this morning.  I am not crafting, but last night got my package of Crazy Birds stamps and dies.  I stamped and cut out one bird, just to try them out, but that is as far as I got!  Hopefully, I will get to play later today with my new toys. First we are going to a Seniors even at our local Art Museum. It is a brunch and we get into the museum free!  Yay!  Free brunch and art are always good!
So, without further ado, here is my desk! Look good, because it will never be this clean again! LOL  Look at all that clean work space!  Wow!

Thank you for stopping by!  I will see you at your space shortly!  Have a great week!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 337

Titus 2:3-5

It has been so long since I "blogged", I can't remember how to do it! I think it has been 5 weeks, but not sure.  First we went on a wonderful 2 week cruise, then we were sick.  Just now getting back to crafting.  But, as you can see from my desk, I am trying to do too many things at once!  First, I am working on my gift calendars; secondly, I am also trying to finish Christmas cards; and thirdly I am trying to reorganize for the new addition on my desk.  Do you notice what is new on my desk?

So, this is just a quick check in with Julia's Stamping Ground WOYWW.  Check out what is on other crafters desk by visiting Julia.  It is fun to see what is on others desks.

Love sunrises at sea!

And sunsets, too!

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a wonderful week!

WOYWW 332 & Shaving Cream Technique

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,  To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.  Titus 2:3-5

Happy WOYWW!  Am late again! We are all showing our desks as we do every Wednesday as part of What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday.   If you check out Julia's Stamping Ground, you will find some more deskers from all over the world!  So here is what I my desk looked like this  week!  I experimented using the Shaving Cream Technique as shown on a tutorial on Splitcoast Stamper.  Surprisingly, after you scrape your shaving cream off your card, it is real smooth.  :)

Dropped re-inkers into Shaving cream and swirled around the colors.
I  put papers on  and pressed into the cream, then  I  scraped off with a craft stick for various backgrounds.

This is how I used one of the backgrounds.  I added die cuts from shimmer card stock and added rhinestones.

Thank you for stopping by!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 331 & Finished Box

Good Afternoon!  Just a run by to join in on WOYWW, where we show what is going on in our craft area! See other deskers at Stamping Ground!   Here are two photos of my area.  You can see I am addicted to Periscope! :)  So fun to watch live and to be able to ask questions and interact with the artist.

Made some  sympathy cards this week.

Do I ever clean after I stamp?

Here is my box from my last post.  I think I will be doing more to it.  Thank you for stopping by!  Have a great week!

Gold Christmas

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,  To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.  Titus 2:3-5

I am going for the gold today with Sandy Allnock!  I was inspired by this card for Going for the Gold Day 6.   Hers was so adorable.  I went with what I had even though I had to hunt for an hour to find this set of penguins.  And all the time it was out on a table with a piece of paper on top of it!

The gold on my card is what I had:  Metallic Lustre by DecoArt. (Gold Rush) It is like a cream in a jar, and thought it would work, and I was happy with it. I applied it with a sponge applicator.   I used texture paste for the snowflakes. And I punched a paper with my snowflake punch for a stencil.  The penguin stamp and die set is Hampton Art.  I used a SU! window punch to punch out the Teeny Tiny Merry Christmas by SU! The backing for that is punched with another SU! punch. I don't know who makes the tiny brads I found in my stash.  The snow Flurries EF i used on my base is by cuttlebug. My penguins are colored with Copics.

If it hadn't been for Sandy's inspiration, I would not have tried this.  I had this paint and the texture paste in my stash, but was not using them!  Check out Sandy's Blog, for free classes  and videos on You Tube; I am sure she will inspire you too!

That is it today.  Thank you for stopping by.

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 329 & Please, help?

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,  To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.  Titus 2:3-5

Good morning!  I have had a great week-end and week of fellowship in God's word and with other Christian women!  We had a great Women's Retreat this past week-end which lead into a wonderful new Bible study!  Titus 2.  Wow!  It is the study of how older women are commanded to instruct the younger women by their lives of living out the word of God. Now I knew this but now we will apply what we are learning!  That is my homework this week to memorize the verses at the top. Anyway, just had to share this.

Also, I thought I would share that in order to see a demonstration, I had to download a new app: Periscope.  You watch the demonstration or whatever it happens to be on your phone or tablet, live. You can even comment or ask questions! Here is a link to a Periscope about Periscope.(it will only be there for 24 hours after scoped.)  Just thought if you never heard of it this would tell you a little bit. :) And the scoper answers your questions.  Is anyone else doing this?  I also, to have this app , had to have a twitter account!  Oh, my goodness, am I in the electronic world or what?  So this is really a matter of prayer for me, to not spend too much time with all this electronic, Blogging, and the rest of this online stuff.  To disciple the younger women, I must spend time in God's Word! So really need to pray to use my time wisely.

What is the help I need, besides prayer?  I am showing you my desk.  I began a project today.  The black dusty looking container ( I really did clean it.)  is a make-up container, from which I removed the lighted mirror from the top, because the lights didn't work.  But I love it for keeping make-up on top of my bathroom vanity.  So, my idea was to glue some fabric or paper in the top part. I don't have fabric, then remembered this package of 15 sheets of adhesive backed fabric that I bought at Tuesday Mornings, several years ago!  Bingo!  What do you think?  Good idea?  I like the solid turquoise color over the striped, what do you think?  The other help issue:  See the lazy susan?  It was something that belonged to my late mother.  The dishes that went in it were broken or I could have sold it as an antique.  Anyway, use it for my paints?  Any ideas?  Oh:  and with my Memory Mists; I use them once and then they are stopped up.  What do you do about this problem?  In the bottom part of the  photo is my new Copic holder.  It is actually a Noir marker holder. :)

I apologize for funny way words are above.  Can't find how to correct it.  Believe me I am electronically challenged!   Please bare with me. Thank you.

I finished my British Isles album this week!  Yay!

I also tried a new technique for two Christmas cards this week: Screen Divider Card
That is what is going on today in my area!  Now to go see what you are doing!  Thanks for stopping by and for any help with my questions!  Oh, and don't forget to check out all the other deskers at Julia's Stamping ground!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 328

Col. 3:16-17 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God and the Father, by him.

This is  becoming a habit.  I again forgot about it being WOYWW!  I have been hunting photos to scrap for my British Isles trip, and seem to have packed them away when cleaning clutter.  So, am trying a LO with what was already out.  Don't know where my main envelope with the rest are. ?????
So, here is my desk as it looks this morning complete with iPad, and hot tea. :)
And below is a card with a Copic colored Lili of the Valley image, that I did for the Coffee Tea Ways to Use it Challenge on SplitcoastStampers last week.
And another card, a Christmas card that I did for the Featured Stamper Challenge on SplitcoastStamper, using a brand new (for me)  MFT  Die-namics pierced square die!

That is what I have been doing since last WOYWW!  Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget to check out the other deskers at Stamping Ground.

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 327 & Organizing Attempts!

Good morning WOYWW Deskers!  Just a quick shot of my desk.  I am still working on bookmarks for our retreat. And I was trying to reorganize this week.   I purchased a marker holder yesterday, but none of my markers fit in it.  I wanted to put my Copics in it, because right now they are in the old SU! plastic clam boxes.  Remember, I had them in my spice rack on the back of my desk, but they kept falling out the back and then under a cabinet that I would have to move the cabinets to find them? But for now they will remain in the clam boxes because they are too fat.  My SU! markers are too long.  The Sharpies fit, but I never use them much.  And even if you had markers that fit and filled this bag up, then it doesn't shut, because it is  too full.  So, I don't know what markers it is for, but I am taking it back and getting my $8.00 back!  LOL

I have been scrapbooking this week too, so here is one of my pages.
Credits:
The paper is Cloud Nine, and it is two sided and I got it on clearance years ago. The price is 10 cents still on the back. I got a half dozen of these travel sheets to use for our cruise pages. The letters are from a plastic box of letters I bought at a garage sale years ago. And if you recognize the tags they are punch out tags from sheets from SU! years and years ago! Oh and those ribbon sliders are from that long ago from Oriental Trading.  This is a scraplift from a fellow scrapper Anavon for my September Scraplift Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers.

More of our British Isles Cruise.

Thank you for stopping by!  I am off to see what you are doing this week! Happy WOYWW!  Be sure to check out the other deskers at Stamping Ground!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 326 and Bookmarks

Hi!  Just got back from church where our Encouragement Ministry ladies made over 50 cards!
So, now I am working on bookmarks for our Women's Retreat this month. That is what is on my desk!
I made my own Decorator Paper by  stamping  a background using an older stamp set by SU! Fabulous Fruits, I think.  Then I spritzed with the marker an air tool shown.  I don't know what is called.  I used Old Olive and Elegant Eggplant inks.  Then I used the Su! scalloped tag punch to punch both the stamped paper and the mauve.   I  glued the mauve to the stamped paper together to make two layers.  I also used the corner punch on the bottoms of the book mark.
On the back of the bookmark will be our verse and church name. Added ribbon for a finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy WOYWW!  Don't forget to check out what is on desks all over the world at Julia's Stamping Ground.

WOYWW 325 & Encouragement Ministry Cardmaking

Good Evening!  I am rather late to the WOYWW Blog Hop this week! One of the other ladies on the Encouragement Committee at our church was over and we were printing off, and die cutting Bible verses and sayings for the insides of cards.  Next Wednesday we will meet all the rest of the ladies at church and make cards using these dies and sentiments we prepared today.

So here is what my area looks like tonight.  Haven't begun to clean it up yet!  I am going to try to organize it better before taking it all back to the church! LOL  Most of the paper and goodies have been donated by other crafters to our ministry.        Here is one views of my craft area, and below from the other direction

We even had stuff all over the floor, and then there is the area where we cut the paper. I have a lot of cleaning up to do!

Below are two projects I have done in the past week:  I colored a Sarah Kay image with Copics and put on a variety of DPs.  The last project is a page I did for my art journal.  Just used some stencils, acrylics, and a variety of distress inks.  I was basically experimenting with mixed medium, and watching a few tutorials on You Tube.

That is it for this week!  Thank you for stopping by, and be sure and check out the other deskers around the world showing their desks over at Julia's Stamping Ground.  Headed over there to take a look through myself.

DTGD & WOYWW # 322

Hello Fellow Deskers!  I was so busy with Splitcoast's Dare to Get Dirty Challenges for Fan Club members, all last week, that I forgot about WOYWW !  So on this post I will show you what my work area looked like last week, and show you the 40 cards I made last week for our week of challenges. It was a whirlwind week of 5 or 6 challenges a day for a whole week!  I used stash and stamps I hadn't used in a while and  used a variety  techniques. The challenges were really inspiring.  The good thing about all this is getting cards I need made ahead of time.  Four have already been mailed and an additional 12 have the insides already stamped.  Some of them are for specific people's birthdays, so I hope I am prepared!

Here are a couple of my favorites.  Top left is with some Graphic 45 paper and an old rabbit stamp I have had for 20 years.  Top right is a special cowboy card for a special cowboy.  It is a Lili of the Valley stamp colored with Copics and the banner is with Die-namics from My Favorite Things.. Bottom left is from a SU! set Countrside, and the bottom right is a B-Line Design stamp.  On that card I used the masking tape technique.

Two more favorites;  Left:  I heat embossed with winter white embossing powder this SU!image  Inspired By Nature on Kraft and and layered on red and Kraft and red again using SU! zigzag embossing folder.  The one on the right : I stamped images from Artful Illusions  Mrs. O'Leary's in Always Artichoke and layered on SU! DP To The Nines DP and Always Artichoke card stock, stamped with SU! Print Pattern background stamp.  I added a glass over the sentiment from SU! Edgy Eloquence.  Also added a key and Always Artichoke denim  ribbon and birthday hardware.  This one has already been mailed to my brother-in-law.

Nice of you to stop in!  I don't know what the weather is like where you are, but here it is very hot! So stay cool.  Stop in to see Stamping Ground and see the rest of the WOYWW deskers.
Happy crafting!

WOYWW 321 and Beatrix Potter

It is Wednesday again! And that means it is time for What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday!  I cannot believe how quickly time passes.  In retirement, it even goes quicker!
I don't know, maybe it is because I am having so much fun or am so busy.  It doesn't seem like I am that busy!  But here it is again, WOYWW!  Some of the things I have done since I last posted is sort through stamped images, scraps of papers, and die cuts.  I am trying to organize them for our upcoming DTGD Challenges.  We will have maybe up to  7 challenges a day for a whole week! I even colored a couple of images, so they would be done, if I need them.  That is when I found out some of my Copics are dried out.  I don't even use them that often!  So I am wondering what to do.  It seems like it would be cheaper to buy new ones with a coupon at a local store, than to send off for refills and pay shipping.  If I even need to do that!  Maybe I will just live with the ones I have.  I have never been into them as big as some are.  I like to water color and to use gelatos and chalks, also.  What do you think:?

I also made a card for our Tickle a Teapotter Challenge this week on Splitcoast Stamper. I used an old stamp set for the main image (one that I had intended to sell, but now will keep) Tea For Two, and then two other newer stamp sets for the sentiment and label, Tea Shoppe, and Layered Labels, all Stampin' Up! sets.  Our challenge was to honor Beatrix Potter.  So, my card is supposed to be  Flopsy and Mopsy. It was a fun challenge.  I stitched one of the panels under the Copic colored image and put lace under the sentiment.  I used retired Baja Breeze, my favorite SU! color,  card stock as well as Whisper White.

My desk this morning.
I will send this to another Teapotter as a tickle.

It was nice of you to stop by.  Be sure and stop by Julia's Stamping Ground and see the rest of the deskers.  I will try to get by and see as many of the deskers as I can. Right now, I am posting this at 1:00 a.m. on wednesday morning, and am headed to bed!  :)

What's on your work desk? Wednesday 320 (Wednesday evening)

Hello fellow deskers.  I forgot it was Wednesday!  I have been scrapping tonight, and realized it was past time for WOYWW!  I completely missed last week.  So, anyway, here is a quick photo of my desk and one of the LO I just finished for Ann's Stash Buster Challenge on Splitcoast Stamper. We were suppose to include pre-made flowers, brads and baker's twine.

Still working on scrapping our British Isles cruise!
Sometimes it is hard to choose what papers I will use.  I get it all out and end up with a big stack!

This week-end I watched a lot of videos that were part of #LoveSummerArt event.  Result:
I did some more pages in my Mixed Media Art Journal.  Used my H20s, that I have never used before, and also Texture Paste, and stencils, also 3D-Stmpel Farbe ( a 3D Stamp Paint)  Really, just played in my craft room!

Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure and check out the other deskers at WOYWW at Julia's Stamping Ground.

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 318 Not Much!

Hello everyone!  As you can see, nothing is going on at my desk today.  In fact I am not even there. I cleaned it all up before I left so my husband wouldn't trip over tools and paper piles when he goes into that room, while I am gone.  I took these photos before I left, so when I got to my Daughter's I could post them on my Blog.  Thank you to Alli H for telling me about this  program to do a photo collage, and to my Grandson, my tech for helping me to download the program and do the photo collage.  Also, he helped me change the background photo on my Blog!  That photo is from when we went to Hawaii. What would I do without my Grandson.  He is even the one that helped me start my Blog two years ago.
My fairly cleaned craft room

Happy WOYWW!  I will try to visit all of you when I am not visiting with my daughter and her family.  If you are wondering why I am showing you photos of my craft area, skip over to Julia's Stamping Ground and get all the details and even see more deskers!  Thanks for stopping by.

What's On Your Workdesk 316 Wednesday? and Scrapping

Good morning, fellow deskers!  I might get this posted earlier for a change.  So fun to visit you and I enjoy when you stop in to see my space and comment.  I have been trying to scrap a two page LO from my Brittish Isles trip, for two days now!  And today I might get it done! Hopefully it won't take me this long to do the whole album!   This is my  desk as it  has looked for the last two days.

Another project I have been working on is trying to organize all my 12x12 papers.  On Pinterest I had pinned a video about how to organize your papers by putting together colored cardstock and prints that would match.  Whenever you would want to do a page you woud have the papers already together and not have to hunt.  Well, I think she had only about 50 papers she was working with, whereas I  have hundreds.  So one picture shows you my small start in this momunental endeavor.  Tell me, if you are a scrapbooker, have you attempted this process?  What do you think about doing it this way?

I seem to be stuck on getting this layout done.

I put 4-6 papers of like colors and patterns together in 12x12 page protectors.  A very small start to my huge stash!

Thank you for stopping by!  If this WOYWW is new to you check out Julia's Stamping Ground  for all the details and to see some more desks.  It is really fun to hop around to all the desks and see what crafters are doing all over the worldl  Have a great week!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 315 & VSN Happy!

Wednesday is almost gone!  I missed last week and almost missed this week's!  I decided to go ahead and post anyway!  I am just showing you what I did this past week-end.  I participated in Splitcoast Stampers' Virtual Stamp Night, only it lasts a whole week.  We were to make each card in a hour or shorter,  The theme was Happy.  We had to make a shaker card, a card with a bee, a card using a stencil ,and one with a 50s theme,  just to name a few of the challenges. You can still play: VSN

These are the ten Happy cards I made for the VSN Challengtes.

I embossed this one with Pool Party embossing powder and VersaMark ink.  I used a sentiment from a Inkadinkado clear stamp set, and cakes from SU! Quick & Easy.  The paper is TPC Studio (So Delish) and Pool Party by SU!  I used Spellbinders Tag dies, and square punch for the cakes. The Bakers Twine is  SU! Coastal Cabana.

So good of you to stop by.  If you want to see some more desks, just check over at Stamping Ground.  Have a great rest of the weeik!

Good afternoon!  There is not much going on craftwise here today.  But since we are showing our workdesks, here is a photo of all my space.  I need to clean off some of the surfaces before I begin to craft.  I did make a baby card yesterday and 13 scrap pages in May.  I will show you some of those pages below my space.

If you want to visit some more desks drop by Julia's Stamping Ground.  You will learn all about this world wide Blog hop! Thanks for your visit and comments.  I am off to see you, now. Have a great Wednesday!
