T Stands for Tuesday & Teapots, too!

Rejoice in the
Lord alway:
and again I say,
Rejoice.
Phil 4:4

Hello T Gang!  I am back with another Teapot!  If you have visited before, you know that I want to document my teapots, before I downsize my collection. So, here is another one.

A former neighbor bought this for me at an auction about 30 years ago.  Isn't it just too cute?
I made a paper craft teapot for a centerpiece from a Pinterest pattern for our Virtual Tea Party!

Virtual Tea Party in 2012
A group of us on SplitcoastStampers website had a virtual tea party.  We took photos and posted in our chat forum.  We also sent each other little gifts we made.  It was really fun.  I didn't think of taking a photo of my little teabag pouch someone crocheted for me.  I carry it in my purse with a couple of teabags.  Pretty nice gift.  Sorry,  I can't remember the recipe, but it was pumpkin bread with raspberry cream cheese, or something like that.  That was a recipe off of  Pinterest, also.  The Virtual Tea Party was really fun.

I hope you enjoyed my virtual tea party.

Must show you some tea art, also!

I recycled and stamped  on a teabag again for two challenges on SplitcoastStampers over the week-end. One challenge  was to recycle something on your card, and the other was to use something on your card that you might put in your compost.  Some would put coffee grounds on the pile,  but since I am a tea drinker, it would be tea grounds.  I used a 3-D Sizzix embossing folder.  I stamped with, wait for it, Tea Dye Distress ink!  I also did some distressing with it on the embossing folder.  I used a fancy tag die from Spellbinders, and added some Dazzles. The tea names and tea cups images are from Mrs. O'Leary's Artful Illusions.  The sentiment is from SU! Tea Shoppe.

Tuesday/Wednesday Post WOYWW #455

Rejoice in the
Lord alway:
and again I say,
Rejoice.
Phil 4:4

Hello everyone!  We woke up to ice and snow this morning:

Not much but it was cold.  This afternoon the temp was 25 degrees feels like 12 degrees!  I was glad they cancelled Bible study.  I just stayed in my pjs all day!  Did my steps in the house and read.  Didn't even do any crafting!  This is my desk:

When you don't craft, it looks pretty nice!  LOL  I am showing you my desk because I am linking up with Julia's world wide desk hop over at  Stamping Ground.

And I am linking up with Elizabeth and Bluebeard over at Altered Book Lover for T Stands for Tuesday where we feature a beverage.   I thought of showing you these photos from  a Canadian cruise we took in 2012.  We  had a stop in Quebec City and visited Montmorency Falls.  After our walk to the Falls we had Tea at Le Manoir Montmorency.  Here is a photo of the front of the Manoir, and of our tea, (for my featured beverage)  even a close up of the light refreshment they served us.

Had to show you the Montmorency Falls, since that is what we went to see.  We were actually on that bridge.

It was a beautiful Fall day for a walk to the Falls.
It was fun to take time to remember part of this trip.  And we loved Quebec City.

Have a wonderful week, everyone!  Happy Tea Day, and Happy WOYWW!

Happy Valentine's Day & WOYWW #454

Rejoice in the
Lord alway:
and again I say,
Rejoice.
Phil 4:4

Here it is after eight p.m. and I am just now posting!  :)  At any rate, I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day!  Here it is really special, because my hubby proposed to me 52 years ago today, Valentine's Day.  Yes, and we have been married almost 52 years!  So, it is definitely special! He already took me out to an excellent Italian restaurant, our favorite kind of food!  He thought of it!  It was one that was here 50 years ago, but had closed years ago, but recently reopened.  Our first time in the new one!  So really special!  And then he thought of taking me to this gourmet candy shop!  Oh, my goodness!  We brought home a pound of two different kinds of chocolate!  Great Valentine's day!

Didn't do any crafting today, but will show you what I did with those beads I showed you last week.  I stuck them to redline tape, and I can use them for borders for either  a scrapbook page or a card.  I also found these adhesive circles and filled them with beads ready to use as an embellishment. Also in the photo is one of the 20 bookmarks I made as tags for my gift teacups I gave my Bible study group for Valentine's Day.  If you want to see all of the cups with the tags they are here: T for Tags.

I also wanted to show you what I won by winning a Misti Card Challenge: a $50.00 gift certificate which I used to get the Misti craft bag and creative corners.  So cool.  The bag holds the Misti in the middle department and then there are sections on either side for other craft items.  Will be great for crafting away from home.

Couldn't leave without showing you Valentine cards I made and sent.  These first two were made at a workshop and designed by my FSJ demo.  So I am linking you to her Blog, The Stamping Tornado
The first two were  for my hubby & our daughter.  The last was for our son.

Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget to look at the other deskers over at Stamping Ground.  Julia graciously hostess this world wide blog hop every Wednesday.

Happy Valentine's Day!

T for Tags, Tea Cups, and Tea!

Rejoice in the
Lord alway:
and again I say,
Rejoice.
Phil 4:4

Today, I have deviated from teapots temporarily!   I will show you my teacups, well, mine and my late mother's.  But first a story.  My mother collected tea cups and  they were on display above top of her cabinets. I have them now plus the ones  I collected. When our daughter would come home at Christmas with her children, we would have over her best friend with her children.  We would have our Christmas tea.  It was my custom to let each child pick a teacup and a teapot for their tea.  I have lots of photos scrapped over the years of this, but can't share them, because I don't know how to blur out the their faces.  Anyway, since we are downsizing I came up with this idea to share my cups with my Bible study group for Valentines.  I  photographed them with the candy and wrapping and attached tags or bookmarks. I included on the back a verse from our Philippians Bible study and that they are from me and my mother.

These are the cups all filled, wrapped and tagged.
Teacups before wrapping. Although there are 19 teacups wrapped some of them were pairs or even four of one of them.
I wanted you to see the saucer of the one because it was so unique.

I used a SU! punch to punch the tops of the tags, and Spellbinders heart dies.  I also used embossing folders to make texture on the hearts before die cutting them.  The smallest hearts are the punch outs of a border punch.  I always save them.  That was fun gluing them on!  The dsp and cs was from my stash, as well as the white grosgrain ribbon. The Happy Valentines Day is from SU! Teeny Tiny Greetings.  I am linking my tags with Try it on Tuesday: Love is in the air.
And this is my beverage tonight as I do my blog post.  I know, hilarious, right?  I am drinking out of a mug! LOL
This is for T Stands for Tuesday over at Altered Book Lover.
Thank you for checking out my blog today. Have a great Tuesday!

Cleaning, Re-organizing & WOYWW # 453

Blessed be the Lord
who daily loadeth us with benefits,
even the God of our Salvation.  Selah Psalm 68:19

Good morning fellow bloggers!  I have been to the gym and am on my way out again to play Pickle Ball!  Yes, I am retired and living the life! LOL  But, I will take time to share my desk, which is a shambles.  I clean it up and then just make another mess every time!  Have you noticed when you re-organize, how before it is done, you make a bigger mess?  I took a drawer out to reorganize it and was so over-whelmed, I haven't finished the project!  What was I thinking when I accumulated this "stuff"?  I thought I would use it on a card, layout or journal page.  But, then I forget to even look in this drawer?  And, it won't all fit back now. Besides that mess is my "leftovers" bin, which is very unorganized, also.  This is what is has looked like for several days!

I have used those Panera sleeves on cards.  Remember when these beads were popular to put on cards?  I think I can ger rid of them now.  And I have a whole jar of google eyes somewhere else!  The fabric appliques were taken off old sweatshirts before I tossed them.  I think I will just close my eyes and toss!

More googley eyes, and then my leftovers bin and assorted stuff.  To the left are stickers to use on a scrappage I did. and a heart die someone sent me that I want to use.  And in the back you see my new pencil sharpener.  Can you imagine what my kids thought when Grandma put a pencil sharpener on her Christmas wish list?  Only a crafter, right?  :)

Thanks for stopping by!  I look forward to seeing what's on your desk.  Happy What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday!  Hop on over to see Julia's Stamping Ground and check on her space as well as crafters from all over the world!  Well, must go play Pickle Ball!  LOL

Another Tuesday Post & And Yet, Another Teapot!

Ps. 90:12 "So teach us to number our days,
that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom."

I am again joining in with Altered Book Lover for T Stands for Tuesday!  What fun!
I enjoy reading her posts as well as the others who link up.  The T Gang are fun!
As I am documenting my teapots before downsizing, I continue to show them on Tuesdays.  You have assured me you wouldn't  get tired of them.  About my musical teapots from last week, I gave them to two of my closest friends and they said  they were thrilled with them!  I forgot to say where I got the musical teapots.  One was a going away gift when we moved away and they had gotten it in an antique store.  The other one was one I found in an antique store.  So, here is the next teapot:

I had purchased this one off of eBay about 20 years ago.  It turned out to be a lot larger than expected.  It is the only teapot I bought off of eBay.  Usually they were gifts, or purchased on vacation somewhere. There is some kind of crest on the bottom, but the writing is so small, I can only read "something" Ware.  The reason I got it was because it reminded me of those Dutch Blue dinnerware.  I remember it was less than $20.00, so not an expensive piece; I just liked it!

And here is my beverage; not tea, this week!  I enjoy a smoothie now and then for breakfast.  Even when it is snowing out, it tastes good after coming home from the gym.

I make it with Greek Yogurt, milk, frozen blueberries, strawberries and banana pieces.  So thick you have to eat it with a spoon!  And so yummy!

I forgot my tea art!  Here is a tea card for you:
I made this one a couple of years ago with an old Winnie the Pooh stamp and then colored with Copics..  I stamped a background and did some distressing.

That is it for today!  Thank you for stopping by!  I love reading what you have to say and I feel like I am getting to know you.
