What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 329 & Please, help?

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,  To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.  Titus 2:3-5

Good morning!  I have had a great week-end and week of fellowship in God's word and with other Christian women!  We had a great Women's Retreat this past week-end which lead into a wonderful new Bible study!  Titus 2.  Wow!  It is the study of how older women are commanded to instruct the younger women by their lives of living out the word of God. Now I knew this but now we will apply what we are learning!  That is my homework this week to memorize the verses at the top. Anyway, just had to share this.

Also, I thought I would share that in order to see a demonstration, I had to download a new app: Periscope.  You watch the demonstration or whatever it happens to be on your phone or tablet, live. You can even comment or ask questions! Here is a link to a Periscope about Periscope.(it will only be there for 24 hours after scoped.)  Just thought if you never heard of it this would tell you a little bit. :) And the scoper answers your questions.  Is anyone else doing this?  I also, to have this app , had to have a twitter account!  Oh, my goodness, am I in the electronic world or what?  So this is really a matter of prayer for me, to not spend too much time with all this electronic, Blogging, and the rest of this online stuff.  To disciple the younger women, I must spend time in God's Word! So really need to pray to use my time wisely.

What is the help I need, besides prayer?  I am showing you my desk.  I began a project today.  The black dusty looking container ( I really did clean it.)  is a make-up container, from which I removed the lighted mirror from the top, because the lights didn't work.  But I love it for keeping make-up on top of my bathroom vanity.  So, my idea was to glue some fabric or paper in the top part. I don't have fabric, then remembered this package of 15 sheets of adhesive backed fabric that I bought at Tuesday Mornings, several years ago!  Bingo!  What do you think?  Good idea?  I like the solid turquoise color over the striped, what do you think?  The other help issue:  See the lazy susan?  It was something that belonged to my late mother.  The dishes that went in it were broken or I could have sold it as an antique.  Anyway, use it for my paints?  Any ideas?  Oh:  and with my Memory Mists; I use them once and then they are stopped up.  What do you do about this problem?  In the bottom part of the  photo is my new Copic holder.  It is actually a Noir marker holder. :)

I apologize for funny way words are above.  Can't find how to correct it.  Believe me I am electronically challenged!   Please bare with me. Thank you.

I finished my British Isles album this week!  Yay!

I also tried a new technique for two Christmas cards this week: Screen Divider Card
That is what is going on today in my area!  Now to go see what you are doing!  Thanks for stopping by and for any help with my questions!  Oh, and don't forget to check out all the other deskers at Julia's Stamping ground!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 328

Col. 3:16-17 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God and the Father, by him.

This is  becoming a habit.  I again forgot about it being WOYWW!  I have been hunting photos to scrap for my British Isles trip, and seem to have packed them away when cleaning clutter.  So, am trying a LO with what was already out.  Don't know where my main envelope with the rest are. ?????
So, here is my desk as it looks this morning complete with iPad, and hot tea. :)
And below is a card with a Copic colored Lili of the Valley image, that I did for the Coffee Tea Ways to Use it Challenge on SplitcoastStampers last week.
And another card, a Christmas card that I did for the Featured Stamper Challenge on SplitcoastStamper, using a brand new (for me)  MFT  Die-namics pierced square die!

That is what I have been doing since last WOYWW!  Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget to check out the other deskers at Stamping Ground.

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 327 & Organizing Attempts!

Good morning WOYWW Deskers!  Just a quick shot of my desk.  I am still working on bookmarks for our retreat. And I was trying to reorganize this week.   I purchased a marker holder yesterday, but none of my markers fit in it.  I wanted to put my Copics in it, because right now they are in the old SU! plastic clam boxes.  Remember, I had them in my spice rack on the back of my desk, but they kept falling out the back and then under a cabinet that I would have to move the cabinets to find them? But for now they will remain in the clam boxes because they are too fat.  My SU! markers are too long.  The Sharpies fit, but I never use them much.  And even if you had markers that fit and filled this bag up, then it doesn't shut, because it is  too full.  So, I don't know what markers it is for, but I am taking it back and getting my $8.00 back!  LOL

I have been scrapbooking this week too, so here is one of my pages.
Credits:
The paper is Cloud Nine, and it is two sided and I got it on clearance years ago. The price is 10 cents still on the back. I got a half dozen of these travel sheets to use for our cruise pages. The letters are from a plastic box of letters I bought at a garage sale years ago. And if you recognize the tags they are punch out tags from sheets from SU! years and years ago! Oh and those ribbon sliders are from that long ago from Oriental Trading.  This is a scraplift from a fellow scrapper Anavon for my September Scraplift Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers.

More of our British Isles Cruise.

Thank you for stopping by!  I am off to see what you are doing this week! Happy WOYWW!  Be sure to check out the other deskers at Stamping Ground!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 326 and Bookmarks

Hi!  Just got back from church where our Encouragement Ministry ladies made over 50 cards!
So, now I am working on bookmarks for our Women's Retreat this month. That is what is on my desk!
I made my own Decorator Paper by  stamping  a background using an older stamp set by SU! Fabulous Fruits, I think.  Then I spritzed with the marker an air tool shown.  I don't know what is called.  I used Old Olive and Elegant Eggplant inks.  Then I used the Su! scalloped tag punch to punch both the stamped paper and the mauve.   I  glued the mauve to the stamped paper together to make two layers.  I also used the corner punch on the bottoms of the book mark.
On the back of the bookmark will be our verse and church name. Added ribbon for a finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy WOYWW!  Don't forget to check out what is on desks all over the world at Julia's Stamping Ground.
