T Stands For Two Tags

"Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine." Isaiah 43:1 b

Hello!  Today is cool but beautiful out.  I even got an afternoon walk before the sun started to go down; it does that earlier now!  I have been creating tags for a tag swap in our Juliette's Jewels a sideline of our Julie Dear Julie junk journaling.  I decided to make them mini journaling tag booklets

This is the front of tag one:  with fabric, napkin, stamped sentiment, brad, tie, charm.

Tag one: showing the front and back. I connected the tags with the fabric to make a tag journal. Stamped and torn image glued on the fabric.  I also put journaling paper in middle and sewed in.
Notice the leaf!  It is one of my leaves that I preserved with modge podge a couple of weeks ago.

Tag one open:  I covered inside of one with scrapbook paper and the other side with music paper.  I stamped and tore an image to lay over the tag, and added a stamped die cut leaf and squirrel brad.

Tag one center showing how I did the signature of journaling papers.

Tag 1 showing the side with a pocket for goodies for the recipient.  I added goodies when I mailed them.

Tag 2  showing fabric , napkin, charm, brad and twine for closing.  Also shows speckles of gold which I sprayed on.

tag 2 showing back and front and how I connected with the fabric to make a journaling tag and the sewn signature.  Stamped and torn images on both front and back. lace on both.

Tag 2 inside:  Covered left with music paper and right with the scrapbook paper.  Stamped and torn image on left.

Tag2 showing right side of inside.  Pocket with stamped die cut leaf and lace.   Again before I mailed I included several goodies.

Tag2 showing journaling pages in center.

I had fun making these and followed a tutorial on You Tube by Graphic Fairy.  It is called a tag mini booklet for a junk journal.

I am joining Bleubeard & Elizabeth over at Altered Book Lover today for T Stands For Tuesday, a little tea party we have every week.  We only have to have a drink related item in our post to join in the fun, and you are welcome to join us.

Here is my water on my bench on the Red Bud Trail.

Would you believe they decorated my trail for Halloween?

Happy Trails to you!  Thank you for stopping by.  I appreciate it and hope you are inspired to create or to walk.  :)  Happy T Day!

T Stands for Quick Blog Post

Overcome Power of Fear study: Mathew 10:31 "Fear ye not therefore, ya are of more value than many sparrows.

I am working on a  new laptop.  I purchased it at a place where they then transferred everything for me.  But guess what?  They transfer data, only.  So, I have to sign into all my programs and even figure out how to download them!  LOL  Ok, but I was able to sign into blogger.  I am on the wireless internet!  All this is good, as the last few weeks, my old computer wouldn't let me on, and wouldn't read my camera card for my photos.  I think I am good now!  There were a lot more things wrong with the other one, but these were the last straws.  This laptop is so fast! Whahoo!

My room is a mess again as I am working on the current Dear Julie Julie October Use a whole Paper Pad Junk Journal Challenge to make 4 Junk journals!  So below is some of the components.

My paper pad  papers : I didn't have a paper pad I wanted to use, so chose over 24 papers that went together from my stash.

Other papers

Frosted Sunflowers Digitals from Dear Julie Julie

That is what I am doing right now.  As soon as I finish one, I will post here.  I think these papers will make nice journals.

A teapot card from my archives for my ticket to the t party this week.  Also a matching teapot to my dishes.

Thanks for stopping by this week.  I should be able to visit everyone this week.  Last week I just couldn't get on the internet!  Don't forget to check out the t party over at TSFT at Altered Book Lover where Elizabeth is our hostess.
Happy almost T Day!

T Stands For Trail

Overcome Power of Fear study: Mathew 10:31 "Fear ye not therefore, ya are of more value than many sparrows.

Hello blog readers!  It is truly Fall today!  We had over 2 inches of rain last night and the temps are wonderfully cooler today!   T Stands for trail craft, today.

I picked leaves up last week while on my walk.   There were a few red ones that had fallen.  Nothing else has changed colors yet.  It is still pretty green here. I had watched a couple of you tubes on how to preserve the color for your leaves to use on projects and I had all the items needed already so tried this Mod Podge one.

I collected these on my trail where I walk.

The first thing I did with them is press them between pages in a book and sit something heavy on the book, a plastic container full of 8 1/2x11 cardstock.  It was heavy.

Next, I lay the leaves out on my silicone mat.  That is the Mod Podge I used, $1.00 at Dollar Tree that I already had.  (did you hear everything is not going to be $1.00 at Dollar Tree anymore?  Bummer!)

I painted the glue on with that old brush.

This is what they looked like after they dried.

I turned them  over and did the other side, too, because on both you tubes I watched they did.  They compared different ways to do the leaves, but I liked them one because I had what was needed for the process.

I think they are pretty.  Can't wait to use them in or on a project.  Use a fan when you do this, the fumes are strong.  I hadn't used so much of this before.  Also, I might have put too much on.  I will know next time.

Thanks for stopping by for tea today.  I had Earl Grey while doing my project.  Stop over at Altered Book Lover where Bleubeard & Elizabeth host our TSFT and see what the rest of the T Gang are up to this T Stands For (almost) Tuesday.

Have a wonderful week!
