Remembering Mom & WOYWW 360

Hebrews 11:1  "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

Good morning, almost afternoon! I have been thinking I wanted to remember my late Mother today.  It is her birthday and she would have been 91.  She has been gone since March 2014, and I miss her very much.  I am always wanting to call her and tell her something.  She was a faithful prayer warrior, and I miss her prayers, too! No one prays for you like your Mother does!  She was interested in everything about me, unlike any other person in the world.  I know my heavenly Father is interested in everything about me.  So thankful for him and for the fact that because of my hope in his Son, Jesus Christ, I will see my Mom again.  Because of that hope in him, I know she is with him.  So, as I remember her today, I look forward to seeing her again, someday.

Now, why are you here?  To look at my desk, of course!  Check out Julia's Stamping Ground and see more deskers from all over the world!  I am working on a scrap layout for two challenges. As you can see, I have some papers out and my sticker storage out.  I even have my color coach out.  Down below are some cards I made this week for challenges on Splitcoast Stampers.

O is for Ornament is a card I made for
the Alphabet Challenge and for the Christmas
Card Challenge.  It also qualifies for the USEIT2016
I used the Alcohol Ink Technique for the background.
The stamp set is an old 2009 set, Holy Triptch.
I colored the image with Copics.
The "Peace" is a stamp from RiverCity Rubberworks.
The inside and envelope are stamped with O Come
To Bethlehem.  The ornament is a Spellbinder Die
I bought a couple of months ago from Tuesday Mornings
for $4.99.  The paper is Lavender Lace  S.U.
This card was made for the Teapotter Challenge.
The theme was Wizard of Oz.  Since I didn't have
any Oz Stamps, I went with this theme.  Can't you hear them chanting this? I used Chocolate Chip with the woodgrain EF.  The card base is Crushed Curry.  The lion is from Wild About You, the Tiger is Art Gone Wild, and the bear is unknown.  The sentiment is computer generated.  The charms are off a broken bracelet!

Thanks for looking.  I am late to the party, but will try to visit you!  I want to see what everyone else is doing! Have a great week!

  1. I really like your sticker holder. My friend was giving one away and I declined (and am living to regret it). It looks like you have a little bit of this and that to keep you busy. I like your cards! PJ & Dio #57

  2. What lovely cards, Sharon. Well done. Thanks for the visit. Yes, it was a pity I couldn't get into the church - according to the info on the internet, it is reputed to be the oldest church in Wales, with worship taking place there since the 4th century. How good is that? 1600years of prayer! My mother's cousin's son (not sure what relation that makes him and me!) lives in Tennessee and knows very little about the family history in Wales - so I've told him all I know, and am trying to find out some more.
Isn't it precious to know we have a heritage in Jesus. My parents were and are Christians for around 80years - and in one part of my family my grandchildren are 12th generation believers! Wow!
Take care, my penfriend. Must get around to answering your email - sorry!! God bless.

  3. I need to start checking out the SCS scrapbook challenges again. I can't seem to get into the groove of things lately though.

  4. Lovely card and layouts. It's a good day to think about your Mum and all the wonderful goodness she brought to your life.

    Happy WOYWW

  5. I'm sorry about your mom. But you know she's still listening to you whenever you talk to her, and watching over you always.
    Your cards are wonderful!
    Have a great day.

  6. I also believe that we will reunite with our loved ones in Heaven… "I can only imagine." I like both your greeting cards, but I was tickled by the ingenious way in which you came up with a Wizard of Oz card with what you had. Blessings!

  7. I love the colors of your Ornament cards background Sharon & ((( HUGS ))) it really seems like is going to take forever and a half to meet up with everyone who has gone before us. ~Stacy #55

  8. Your space is nice and tidy for mid-project. Lovely cards. I haven't been by SCS in ages, I should check in there today. Have a great week.

  9. Sadly, it happens. I still miss my own dear mum and would dearly love the opportunity to chat with her again, I'm sorry for your loss.

Fab journal pages and desk - I'm rather late to the party myself this week - Happy WOYWW

  10. Sorry, journal pages should have read CARDS - what WAS I thinking!

  11. How cute! What a great card for the teapotter challenge. I hope to get back over there. I understand your sentiment about your mom. I miss mine every day and it's been almost 18 years since she's been gone. Very pretty Christmas card. Congrats on tying the card into multiple challenges. Creative Blessings! Kel #52

  12. Your cards are both fabulous Sharon. Your desk looks pretty organized. My mom has been gone since 1997 and I know what you mean about wanting to talk to her and tell her things, but I believe that she hears whatever you want to say to her.

Thank you for your comments! I really appreciate them.
