T Stands for Tuesday, Tea, Teapots, and Tea Cards!

Rejoice in the
Lord alway:
and again I say,
Rejoice.
Phil 4:4

Time again for T Stands for Tuesday over at Elizabeth and Bluebeard's Altered Book Lover where we are supposed to feature a beverage.  I never remember to take my iPad or camera when I go out to eat.  We went out to eat today at Texas Roadhouse.  Fabulous!  I had the single pork chop with the sweet potato and house salad, and hubby had a steak, mashed potatoes and house salad.  The fresh  rolls and honey butter were wonderful.  We had never been there and were happy with the meal, the service,  and cost.  Early bird was only $8.99, much cheaper than later; we were there shortly after they opened at three.   I brought half mine home.  I think because I filled up on the rolls and the peanuts! Oh, yes, did I mention the bucket of peanuts? So, since I didn't take a photo then, I came home a took a photo of my after dinner hot tea.

I took the photo in front of four cups I kept.  What is funny, is again I am drinking tea out of a mug!
It is even a new mug!  I went to a church Chicks, Chocolate and Chai event last week, and someone else was giving away cups.  There were a whole table of them, and we were to pick one for the night and then to take it home with us!

Next on the agenda is a teapot:

This is another teapot our former neighbor had found at an estate auction for me.  They had just bid on a box of teapots for me.  I tried to show more of the scene on the pot.

And some tea art:

I made this card coloring with Copics  an image from Lili of the Valley of UK.  Love their stamps!

Thanks for stopping by to celebrate T Stands for Tuesday.  Have a great rest of the week!

  3. That Texas Roadhouse reminds me of a place I used to eat in Joplin, MO. I don't even know if it is still there or not, but I remember rolls and honey butter, with peanuts, too. Seems like they offered a free meal on your birthday may be why I went.

LOVE those teacups and laughed at how you used a mug. But it was a nice gesture from someone giving those mugs away. I think the next to the bottom teacup and saucer would be my fav, since there is so much gold on it.

That teapot is fabulous. I really like the oriental feel to it. It is quite unique, at least in my opinion. And of course, I think that card is truly adorable. Thanks for sharing this tea inspired post with us for T this Tuesday.

  5. That is a smart way to display your tea cups! It's very very pretty. I do enjoy seeing your teapots to Sharon. There are so many styles of teapots, aren't there? And we also like the Texas Roadhouse. That butter for the rolls-I could make a meal of those. :) Hope all is well and you have a great T day. Hugs-Erika

I just can't get passed that it seems weird to take pictures of your food at a restaurant although i bet most people wouldn't bat an eye if i did it.. What a pretty tea pot and tea cups.. I drink tea out of a mug too. A big mug using two tea bags..lol .. Happy happy T day! Hugs! deb

  8. It is a lovely display stand for your cups and saucers and the teapot with the scenes looks beautiful. I smiled at the mug, I much prefer to drink tea from a mug. It is a really sweet card as well.
    Happy T day wishes.

  11. I like a casual steakhouse. Sometimes that's just the thing, and even better when you have some to take home :) Your tower of cups/saucers makes a delightful display, and the teapot has such a beautiful design. Happy T Tuesday :)

  12. Oh my goodness. I think I have 3 small (what I thought were bowls but now I wonder if they are cups) to match that teapot. I'll have to take a photo and send it to you. Too funny!!

  13. Such a beautiful post here for me in the morning! Your teacup stand looks so pretty and a nice idea to give away tea-cups from that person! The lunch you had in the restaurant sounds very good as well! I don't tae photos while on a restaurant as well. That is something I don't like - my daughter takes 1000 of photos with her handy every day - that is something that makes me nervous often - I want to enjoy my meal! This teapot looks amazing! I am always lookingfor teapots at our local charity shop, but no one really spoke to me yet. I am not a hoarder or collector of dishes since I don't want to have so much of it, even so I like it very much.I can imagine that cleaning and organizing of such a great collection is a lot of work, for this I would be much too lazy lol! I drink my teas also from a big mug always, that's much better while sitting at the computer, isn't it?
Your wonderful tea postcard is so pretty and beautiful! So much lovely detail!
I wish xou a happy belated T-Day Sharon!
So nice to meet you at TSFT each week!
I will take you into my dashboard to visit more often in the future !♥
Thank you for visiting me and letting me such a nice comment- it is much appreciated!
    Greetings from Austria

  14. I love the display for your tea cups. I always mean to use a tea cup for every day, but always grab a mug instead. Morning requires a substantial amount of tea and I'm too lazy to keep filling up a little tea cup. Enjoy your day!

  15. What a perfect T-day post, Sharon! I love your tea cup stand to display some of your favorites. They're beautiful! So is the Chinese motif tea pot. Your card is just darling. I have to check our Lili of the Valley stamps!

We ate at a Texas Roadhouse restaurant once and liked it too. Funny, what I recall most were the rolls with the honey butter.

    Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

  16. Your meal sounds very nice, especially for that price. 3 o'clock is the time we have our main meal, so that would suit me fine.
Your pretty cup and saucers are just that: very pretty. I'm glad you have decided to keep a few.
The teapot looks quite old. Is it an antique?
Your card is really cute. And the stamp is awesome.
    Happy belated T-Day,
    Lisca

  18. My DD's always want to fuss at me when we are out together to eat and I want to take a picture of my food. Then I see them post stuff on FB. Go figure! Love the picture with your tea cups and the teapot is so beautiful.

I love your card too. I have that stamp also and have used it a time or two. It's a fun friend image.
