New Beginnings & WOYWW #396

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage:  be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

I hope you all had nice holidays and are having a nice beginning to 2017!  Like with all new beginnings, it takes a little work. My photo of my desk for What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday is staged, I confess.  I just wanted to show you what I am doing.  I am trying to get organized for the new year, make a new beginning.   I have been making a notebook with tabs for all the challenges on SplitcoastStamper.   I have included my birthday lists of all groups I am member of in the back.  Hopefully, I will not miss making a card for an upcoming birthday! :)  Do you see those cute little jars with bakers twine in them.  Is that cool or what?  I scored them on clearance at a local stamp store last Friday.

I did reach my goal of 100 pages scrapped in 2016!  Now, I have set my 2017 goal as 100, also, since I know I can do it!  It isn't like I even need to print photos!  I have hundreds.  I am trying to scrap the 80s right now!  And when I get all caught up with that, I can begin my heritage albums, because I have all my Mom's photos, and her Dad's photos!  And that is just one part of the family's.  I have all branches of the family's photos from husband's and mine!  Everyone gives me their photos, because if they didn't give them to me, they would trash them!

Don't forget to check out Julia's Stamping Ground to find out all about WOYWW and to visit all the other deskers!  Maybe, you want to join us and show us your desk! :)

Happy New Year and WOYWW!  I hope you are having a nice new beginning!  Thank you for stopping by!

  8. Happy New Year Sharon. I trust this may be a very precious year for you as you walk with Jesus. I confess that reading your blog, I now need to go and lie down somewhere dark!! You managed 100 scrap book pages??? What size were they? lovely big 12x12?? And now you plan on doing it again? Oh boy. I shall be happy to simply make my first card, I think!
    Take care. God bless.

  11. awesome idea for the twine! I have a shaker from the local pizza place from bygone years that I should repurpose cause we don't use that kind of parmesan any more! I still do some stuff on SCS but haven't participated in swaps in quite awhile. So much going on. I should set a goal and get some done too! I did about 50 last year but have yet to put pictures on most of them. Happy New Year! Vickie #12

  14. You look really well organised, Sharon. Congratulations on reaching your 100 layout goal - I managed only a small fraction of that! In an attempt to be better organised I have a Christmas planner and a Birthday book. They should help ... it's a start anyway. Elizabeth (not on WOYWW this week) xx
