Feeling Thankful & WOYWW 389

Ps. 107:1  O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

I am feeling thankful this morning , that I woke up, that my husband is healthy enough to be playing golf today, and that I have a craft room full of crafty things!  I am kind of frustrated with myself, that a lot of times I complain.  Why do I do that when God has given me such a abundant life?  There, now I am whining again about whining!

I am here to show you what is going on in my craft room, because that is what we do on What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday.  Below are several shots of my desk and other parts of my room.  What is going on are several projects.  Not happy doing just one!  I am scrapbooking, making gift calendars, a card or two and if that wasn't enough, last night I began to unmount woodmounted stamps!  That makes them easier to use in the Misti! (Most Incredible Stamping Tool Invented!)  I don't know how I stamped before having the Misti!

This doesn't look too bad, but this is the cleanest area! LOL

I got a ton of 12x12 paper at a craft show Saturday for a flat $10.00!  Some of it was even in color families or papers that would go together and in large ziplock bags.  I was even surprised to find chipboard letters, and stickers in all of it.

I even had to move "stuff" off my work space and put it on my cutting station!

It doesn't matter how much room, I have, I just cover it up!
That is what it looks like here.  I am off to see what you are all doing!  I am thankful for all of you!  Thank you for stopping by.  Happy WOYWW!

  2. Hi Sharon. Absolutely. Have to move things around. My big shot has even been put down on the floor at the moment as the felting machine has taken over the surface!!! You would think that, being on my own in a big bungalow, I'd have sufficient room.... but... well, let's just say you don't want to look too closely. Presents all over one bed, wool and squarish squares all over another, dining table covered in Christmas cards, settee covered in the blanket I am making in the evenings to use up all the odd bits and bobs of yarn, John's work desk full, my workdesk looking like a bomb has hit it.... Hopefully all the projects will be done in time to put the tree up, or I just won't be able to move when the family arrive to add even more to the situation.
That huge pile of 12x12 papers looks great - a good bargain there. Well done.
    Take care. God bless.

  4. Hi Sharon, I think we are all guilty of having to move stuff around just to craft, I also have three things on the go, lucky you to get so much paper so cheap, now all you have to do is find somewhere to keep it, LOL

  6. It all looks good from here. Frequently my cutting station ends up being just as wide as the cutter itself, which actually is probably the most inconvenient part to have cluttered! Love that you can work on more than one thing at a time, not a skill I can boast.

  8. I never seem to have enough room on my desk. I'm even thinking about bringing another one in but I'm sure that would get full too!

Glad your hubby is well enough for golf and that the weather is good enough for him to golf. It's supposed to be lovely here tomorrow and Friday then the temps drop way down and we are forecast for rain and snow showers. Yuck.

Sometimes I think we all forget just how great life is.

    Happy WOYWW

  9. I don't multitask well in the studio, where I usually focus on one project at a time. However, I have been known to move from one project to another with ease. Blessings!

  10. If I had all the incredible tools and wonderful containers, I would never leave my craft room. You got some lovely papers over the weekend, that's for sure.

I got the most unusual comment from you. I quote "I was pretty sure we were neighbors. I live in the city with the original Keeper of the Plains. You just looked at my header photo which was from a vacation and didn't think we lived near each other."

Did you mean the Keeper in Wichita, and the header photo of the Keeper at the .gov site was one you took? Sorry if I'm confused.

  12. :) I am kind grinning you know and nodding along as I read the words Sharon.
I have my I started unmounting some sentiments a few months ago, and a lamina tor ( that has never been plugged in and a ream of cheap white cardstock so, I can organize those stamps off in the corner because, I got caught up in the make things for the challenges and or the booth thing and I decided unmounting will start happening again maybe after the holidays. Thanks for the earlier visit ~Stacy # 44

  14. Your space looks lived in! Even with 2 big tables I'm constantly shifting cutters, paper, stamps and the like. I like your musing about whining too. I will remember that next time I start and instead say a prayer of thanks.
