WOYWW 325 & Encouragement Ministry Cardmaking

Col. 3:16-17 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God and the Father, by him.

Good Evening!  I am rather late to the WOYWW Blog Hop this week! One of the other ladies on the Encouragement Committee at our church was over and we were printing off, and die cutting Bible verses and sayings for the insides of cards.  Next Wednesday we will meet all the rest of the ladies at church and make cards using these dies and sentiments we prepared today.

So here is what my area looks like tonight.  Haven't begun to clean it up yet!  I am going to try to organize it better before taking it all back to the church! LOL  Most of the paper and goodies have been donated by other crafters to our ministry.        Here is one views of my craft area, and below from the other direction

We even had stuff all over the floor, and then there is the area where we cut the paper. I have a lot of cleaning up to do!

Below are two projects I have done in the past week:  I colored a Sarah Kay image with Copics and put on a variety of DPs.  The last project is a page I did for my art journal.  Just used some stencils, acrylics, and a variety of distress inks.  I was basically experimenting with mixed medium, and watching a few tutorials on You Tube.

That is it for this week!  Thank you for stopping by, and be sure and check out the other deskers around the world showing their desks over at Julia's Stamping Ground.  Headed over there to take a look through myself.

  1. Very nice on the cards. I can totally relate to needing to clean up the mess. I have a mess on my desk, too. Love your card and journal page.

  2. That sounds like a marvelous project your working on with the encouragement committee at your Church. As to your projects, my favorite one is the page with its rich textures and bright colors. Blessings!

  3. Hi Sharon, you say you're late but I may not get round everyone until next Wednesday but I will try.
Just been so busy this week. Sure you will get tidied up soon, then you can start making a new mess! Love it , Angela x28

  4. Oo, those cards sound like a wonderful idea. An Encouragement Committee also sounds really lovely!

I can't decide if I prefer the Sarah Kay image card, or the mixed media journal page... both so colourful and pretty. I don't think I have to decide between them - I guess it's okay to just like both equally!

Thanks for your visit to my blog; yes, I did post very late this time (though I've managed to be even later before - eg.Friday!).
    Have a good rest-of-the-week and a lovely weekend (card-making?)!

  5. What a great project! Don't worry about the mess. Craft desks have to be used!
I'm a bit late in commenting, but I like taking my time and reading people's blog and sometimes older posts too.
    Have a great week,
