WOYWW 295

Col. 3:16-17 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God  and the Father, by him.

Good morning!  It is suppose to be beautiful here today, and I am looking forward to getting outside and walking!  I have been doing my walking on a track at the YMCA this winter, and am ready for Spring! I know it is only January, but we have had a couple of beautiful days to tease us.

I took a photo of my desk when I finished making a card for our Tea Pot Tuesday Challenge on Splitcoast Stamper. I took it last night so I could clean it up as today a friend is coming home with me from church after Bible study to cut out sentiments and verses on die cuts, so we can take them to church next Wednesday for our ladies to use when making cards for our Encouragement Ministry after Bible study.  We usually have about a dozen or so that stay after Bible study and make cards, and usually we get about 30 cards made.  Some will do cards assembly line style, while others just create on  their own.  You would be surprised what these ladies can create,  and they are not stampers or card makers, like some of us who are obsessed with this paper crafting business!  So here is a photo of my desk, because  that is what we do on What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday.  We share peeks of our desks for Julia's desk hop on Stamping Ground.

So you can see the sponges and ink pads I used to make my card.  I used my Birch Tree stencil for the first time.  And inked up Life in the Forest stamp set  for the first time.

And below is a photo of a card I made for my brother-in-law for his retirement.  I used another Lili of the Valley image this week. The plaid Decorative Paper is from a We R Memory Makers 6x6 pad and the orange paper is Bo Bunny, just paper from my stash!  I did stitching on it.  I like how  stitching looks on cards, just too lazy to do it most of the time.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes SU! mounted with buttons from my stash. I colored the image with Copics, and did paper piercing.  I made this card to honor our Featured Stamper this week on Splitcoast Stamper,.

Thank you for stopping by this week, have a great Wednesday!

  4. It is so fun to have friends over to stamp with. Back when I was a SU! demonstrator (for over 10 years) I used to have stamp a stack parties at my house. It was a lot of work but tons of fun. I miss it! Now I never craft with another person..just me and my studio lol Happy WOYWW! Shel#55

  7. What a perfect retirement card for a dude! There is lots of room on your desk for the ladies to come have a play. I laugh when I hear about groups of ladies getting batches of cards done. You haven't met my group of ladies. We do far too much chatting and not enough crafting. Judy #64
