WOYWW 247

Good Morning!  I just got up, and it has snowed again, so I guess Winter is still here! :)
I missed last week, so not even sure what number WOYWW we are. LOL  If you are wondering what I am talking about, hop over to Julia's Stamping Ground for all the details.  But it is a fun Blog hop she hostesses every Wednesday!  We show each our workdesks.  It is fun to see what craft people from all over the world are doing.
Anyway, I have been busy this week doing Love Fest Challenges on SplitcoastStampers. :)
So my area is a real mess.  I also am showing you in around about way my first tries at the gelli Print Plate.  I think it will take practice.  I still plan on using the practice sheets to make cards.  Also, I even optimistically purchased some canvass! :)

So here are peeks at my desk, and then below some of the 11 cards I made for the Love Fest Challenges.

My Love Fest Cards & My Practice Gelli Printing

My Mess

PS100:1
I made this card for the Love Fest Simon Says Crazy for Dies Challenge and for the Divine Bible Verse Challenge.  This image is one that I bought when I first began stamping over 15 years ago.
The die is Dainty Doily Die-namics from MFT
The cardstock is Gumball Green, and Midnight Muse from SU!  The Designer paper is from a KaiserCraft 6" paper Pad called Tea at Elsie's Collection. The charms are from a local arts & craft store.
I made this sympathy card using the Chalkboard technique.  I stamped in white craft and colored with SU! pastels.  It was submitted for the Perfect Paper Crafting's Lots of Lovely Layers Love Fest Challenge and for the You Can Do It weekly challenge to use the Chalkboard Technique. The sentiment is from Close As A Memory, and the image is from Blooming With Kindness, both SU!

I made this card with  My Favorite Things Violin Girl for the
Love Fest My Favorite Things Heartfelt Greetings Challenge.
The one sentiment at the bottom is a SU! sentiment from the set Picture This.  I used Spellbinders labels 18 die, and even ran this great Spring colored burlap  I picked up at Michaels through with the die. :)  The note is from MFT Die-namics set.
The designer paper is TPC Studio.

I Care
I made this card for the Love Fest Stamping Bella's Lovey Dovey Spring Challenge. I love this image from SU! set, The Nicest Things. I colored the image with Copics and layered it on Su! Designer Paper and on SU! Pool Party and Crisp Canteloupe.  I ran the cardstock through with the Su! Tulip embossing folder.  stamped right on the DP with the sentiment from SU! set Because I Care.

I made this card with a new technique for me.
Silvery Moon
It is called Through the Mist.  It was done for the Mix-Ability Challenge.   I will let you read about it on your own.  But after running off the brayer on the cardstock, I stamped my image over the black.  Then I masked a moon in silver. Then I sprayed everything with Silver Memory Mist.  It really turned out kind of cool.  The image is by Stampa Rosa, and the memory verse is from Verve. This was also submitted for the Divine Bible Verse Challenge.

Thank you for stopping by and for your comments.  I am off to visit your desks and see what you are doing!

  1. I love my gelli! I tend to use it as a warm up for art...or when I get stuck in other areas. I have an entire sketch book of gelli prints.
Your desk looks like fun )

  2. wow, you've had so much snow this year haven't you. We haven't seen a single flake here in the UK!!
I definitely think the gelli plate takes practise. I wasn't too happy with my first attempts either, haven't had chance to play again yet but want to try inks now!
    Love all your cards.

  7. That silvery moon card is an absolute stunner! The other ones are very lovely too. I enjoy seeing cards when desk hopping and you sure had a nice variety to check out. I confess that I don't understand the gelli plate. I'll get to see one live and in person on Friday so maybe I'll "get" it more. I don't think it is my kind of thing though. And your desk may be messy but I don't think we need to condemn it yet. There's still plenty of room to play. Thanks for the visit earlier. Judy #100

Analice's school is closing after 39 years, so we are once again on "the school hunt".

  25. That gelli plate sure can do some interesting things. My friend played with one the other day and I watched. It was interesting how things looked once they were dry compared to when they were wet. I can see possibilities for people who like to experiment. Love all the great cards you made.
