T Stands for Sharing Art

"Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, was judging Israel at that time. She used to sit under the palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the people of Israel came up to her for judgment." Judges 4:4-5

I created this Bible Art Journaling page for the Ladies Bible Study I lead every other Tuesday at our church.  Our study this year is Remarkable Women of the Bible by Elizabeth George.  As you might have guessed, our last lesson was on Deborah.  I knew she was one of the judges but hadn't ever really studied her.  It seems not only was she a judge, but she was a wife, and a warrior!  She had to go to war with Barack, or he wouldn't go.  And, after the victory she wrote and sang a song about the victory!  You can read poem, song in Chapter 5 of Judges.  What a remarkable woman to be able to do all of this as reported in the Bible.  We can learn many lessons from reading about Deborah, and the rest of the remarkable women in the Bible.

I was inspired to do this Bible art journaling.  I am sorry to say I cannot find the person's name to give her credit for the images I used.  I had virtually attended a Bible Summit this or last year and they were free.

I thought about this being my entry for the Botanical theme for ART JOURNAL JOURNEY, but wasn't sure if it was enough botanical? :)  So, I just had to play some more and create the art below!  LOL

I had fun playing with alcohol inks and Isopropyl alcohol.  Then I used some TH stamps, and words.

I also used some 49 and Market ephemera.

And here is what happened to the back of the page on which I used:  I almost liked it better!  Oh, well, I will use it next time.

Now it is time to share a photo of a drink for my entry to the party over at Altered Book Lover.  Last week, we went to Red Robin.  We order their smaller version of hamburger with a side.  Our waitress said we could have salad or broccoli, because the fries come with everything regardless.  Otherwise, we might have ordered the fries. It really wasn't on the menu like this, but she explained that was the way it was.  Delicious!  We both got the standard hamburger with the 1000 Island dressing.  The waitress was wonderful, our hamburgers were wonderful and so was the salad.  We hadn't been there in a couple of years.  Oh, and we ordered water with lemon, and she brought us a whole bowl of thickly sliced lemon, might have been the whole lemon!  Oh, and BTW, the sauce that came with the fries was awesome!  I ate fries on my sauce. LOL
Very filling, so won't go there too often!

Thanks for stopping by!  See you next time!  Don't forget to check over at Altered Book Lover and check out the others on the T Stands for Tuesday blog hop party.  It is the 12th anniversary of TSFT!  So big celebration!

What wonderful bible journaling. Yes, the palm tree qualifies for Halle's theme at AJJ, but it's even greater that you shared a second entry focused on botanicals only. And I love the background and even that it bled through. Thanks for sharing these with us at AJJ, dear friend.

I have never been to Red Robin. In fact, I didn't even know there was one here. Your salad looks delicious and you had me at french fries. Thanks for sharing your art, your sandwiches, and lemon water
with us for T this week, dear friend.

Both of these journal pages are wonderful and they both work for Halle's challenge at AJJ. Thanks for joining in. And I'm excited to see what your next age looks like on that background. :) I haven't eaten at Red Robin for ages, but that's pretty nice how you get fries and a salad. I hope you have a super T day. hugs-Erika

Deborah truly is an inspiring figure so strong and faithful! Your journalism page beautifully honors her legacy, and your creative process sounds so joyful. The alcohol ink play is stunning, front and back! And that Red Robin meal sounds like a perfect treat loved the lemon story!

I have just followed your blog
Greetings from Indonesia

Dear Sharon,
you’re showing such beautiful journaling creations! I really enjoy both the style of your Bible-inspired pages and your wonderfully artistic piece created with alcohol inks and isopropyl alcohol. 🌴🌿 I’m not familiar with this technique myself, but I truly love the result – the paper plant cutouts are just the perfect addition. And you're absolutely right: the page where some of the ink bled through deserves to become a new artwork of its own – that’s recycling art at its best! 🌹
Oh, and I'm sure I would have loved your food at Red Robin...
All the best from Austria and Happy T-Day,
Traude
