WOYWW 306 & Watercoloring Embossing

Col. 3:16-17 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God  and the Father, by him.

What is on your Workdesk this Wednesday?  I will come around and see.  Here is what is on mine.  I haven't cleaned it since I did my last card. Check out Julia's Stamping Ground and you can see a lot of desks!

I stamped the image on watercolor paper with Versa Mark White and embossed with Winter white Embossing Powder. I watercolored with the Old Olive and Melon Mabo  inks in the lids of the pads, and wet my brush with water.  I used an old retired SU! stamp:  Romanitc Rose.  The sentiment is Stampendous.  The cardstock is Melon Mambo & Pixie Pink.  My problem was that I couldn't see where to paint. LOL

I stamped  the Dictionary Background Stamp  onto Irresistibly Yours Specialty DP from SU! with Soft Suede; then rubbed it real hard with a tissue, and the embossed flowers appeared! :) After I stamped the flowers in Black Momento and colored with Calypso Coral and Old Olive,  I fusszy cut the image and mounted it  on some more of the special DP on which I had stamped leaves from Secret Garden in Old Olive.  (and rubbed)  I mounted on Spellbinders Label 10 die cut. I used Calypso Coral for the panel under the DP, and then mounted on a Soft Suede base.  The butterfly was punched with Martha Stewart punch, ant put on the card with pearls.  I also tied the paper around the flowers with bakers twine.

Thank you for stopping by!  I appreciate any comments.  I am on my way to visit you!
Happy What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday!

My Hawaiian Scrapbook and WOYWW 305

Good morning WOYWW Deskers!  I have been trying to get my Hawaiian album done, and I have a one track mind!  Here is what my desk looks like today and for about a week!  To find out why I am showing you my desk, check out Julia's Stamping Ground. It is all part of a world wide  blog hop! I will share some of my completed pages with you today.

This was a scraplift of Lela (Lmn) on SCS.

I used a shell die using leftover photo scraps on here.
I have so much fun reliving our fun trip when I scrap our memories.  The best part of scrapbooking!  I have done 11 pages and have 9 more to do.  Why 20?  Because they have 10 pages in the albums where you can insert 20 pages.  So that helps me keep it under control! Because I take hundreds of photos! :)  Now, I don't print off that many!  But I did print almost a hundred of them!  Sometimes I use them on pages to put in my yearly albums, and sometimes I use them on cards.  Anyway, you can imagine, I have lots of photos.  It is very overwhelming.  I file away the ones I don't use in those white photo boxes.  If I do an album for family members, I look in those boxes for extras. So they do come in handy.
I used my new SU! die for the title, & the Whale die.

I just chose a few pages to show you.  We loved the beach, the water, the waves, and that tropical breeze!   Wonderful!

Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful Week!  I hope to stop by and see you after Bible study!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 304

Happy Wednesday everyone!  Or should I say April Fools?  Because I am posting after several weeks off. I hope you all have a great day!  Because this is what we are supposed to do when taking part in Julia's Stamping Ground's Wednesday Blog Hop,  I will show you what my desk looked like before I cleaned it.  I had to clean it, because yesterday a friend and I die cut sentiments and made up kits for card making which we did after  Bible study today.  We only had 5 of us today for card making, about half what we usually have.  But we still managed to make 45 cards for our Encouragement Ministry. It really helps to have kits made up, then the ladies just add their creative touches.  Also, I have included a photo today of my latest Stampin' Up order.  Can't wait to play with all the goodies.  I did make one card with the Lacy Background stamp.

Every bit of surface has something on it, including my chair!

I made room to take of photo of my new toys. :)
Last time I posted I was working on the Water color Bokeh, and these are two of the cards I made with the background I created.  And the third card is one I made using my new  Lovely Lace SU! Background stamp.

Thank you for stopping by!  I am going to go visit some of you, now.
